No need to use authority. There's other ways to make them stop or let your big brother handle it.
Why would they (the abusing men) stop if they can get away with it when no authority is brought into play? Sometimes the offender is the big brother. Or the brother in law, or the next door neighbor. Or your sister's boyfriend. Sometimes it is a total stranger, and sometimes it is most or all of the above. When the innocent have no authority and feel there is nobody they can turn to, it is a burden carried for many years that shapes their beliefs and who they become in life.

Bump - yep.
Back somewhere in the middle of this muddle, we brought up verses to
show "church" was where people met including homes. There are
various verses in the bible to show this.

So if women should remain silent in "church" then all I am asking
is where do the "silent female" people think we should be silent.

Especially important as it has been said women only need to be silent in church
not in their own homes. But the early church met in homes!
I don't see how it makes much of a difference. If he said silent in church's but not homes, what does that mean to you? Or what if it was both? I think he was referring to both, although I am not sure. I have never read any comments on it.

Well, it seems obvious to me he is addressing married women only,
since he admonishes them to consult their husbands at home. :)

Whenever the religious leaders questioned and debated with Jesus about various laws & commandments, the Lord always seemed to perceive a hidden motive in them. The Pharisees weren’t interested in the truth at all, they just wanted to make a show about being right and proving other people wrong. And the Lord always exposed them by proving they had no love or mercy for others, and therefore no love for Him.

Paul said "I have the spirit of God" (1 Corinthians 7:17) and Paul is divinely inspired Apostle who has authority to give instructions to the churches (1st Corinthians 7:17).

Okay, so also lets go back to slavery (that's in the NT - I bet not one person here would say that is okay. I hope). KJV, are you okay with that? I know we have to apply the word of God like Robots. No thought involved. Why God gave us a brain, I am not even sure. He could have just programmed us.
Let's go back to picking husbands for our daughters. That's in the NT.
Oh, what the heck. If we are going to do this right, lets start leper colonies too.
WE have plenty of farmland here in VT...

One of the things that truly raises my ire, I think most of us feel this way, is seeing innocent defenseless kids, or people who are physically or mentally challenged being treated badly. But especially kids.

How does this tie into what we are talking about? Am I missing something?
We need to pick a movie with a cast of characters and start naming everyone. This is unreal.
Anyone have a creative mind here? To do this?
God allowed 12-13 tribes of Israel because different people need different things but we are different folds under one Shepherd and that isn't an excuse to do what we want to do because we will all give an account to God one day. (Romans 14:12, 2 Corinthians 5:10).

A church building has nothing to do with this. The verses are talking about the meeting of the the body of Christ in an official way that we call church. A woman is not teacher. The chain of command goes as follows - God, Christ, the man, the woman and then the children.

If I as a man usurp Christ then God is not going to bless it, the same goes for the woman. If the woman tries to usurp the man then God is not going to bless it... it is not in God's divine order.

Give me one single scripture where Christ advocated for or endorsed slavery. Just one.

Then why do you have a problem with some of us men standing on the word of God against the man made traditions of the modern Pharisees that want to change the word of God to fit their own beliefs?

I am not suggesting that we do anything sinful or out of God's will.
I don't believe a woman pastor is sinful, or a woman teacher, or preacher.

I have stated my reasons why. From the bible. Using history. Using commentary. And history notes by people who have devoted their lives to this sort of thing and who have come to a consensus on it. I did not just pull this out of thin air.

Please tell me, state why you think I am incorrect to come to the conclusion that the passages we are referring have nothing to do with the time they were written in. Tell my why they would apply today, as well as yesterday. Tell me why God wants woman to be quiet and not speak in church, nor can they ever teach or preach, or pastor, for as long as the earth and people exist. Please show me why these are passages out of time.
If you can show me why, using those specific passages, because those are the ones we are alluding to, then I will recount.
