No. You're not getting away with that. I'm not going to roll my eyes and say, oooh, you're so bad, you jokester you, when anyone can clearly read that post and see for themselves where I re-posted it on this very page of the thread and can judge quite easily for themselves if it was inappropriate. Trying to shame me isn't going to work for you. Anyone can go look at every post in here by you, in fact, and can make the judgement for themselves. And if they make the judgement that those kind of remarks, like needing a cold shower, are appropriate and fine, then I would be at a total loss of words at what they think is appropriate for "Bible" chat. You took a thing very precious, Jesus' teaching of washing each others feet, and you turned it into a rude defilement. So, huh uh, you're not going to shame me, buddy. I can joke around like nobodies business. I'm a huge joker many times, but not with this.
Oh, you're a regular riot!
You just won't give peace a chance, will ya?!
That's twice now with your false accusations.
I'm didn't try to shame before, I'm not doing so now,
you have a lot of nerve with your false allegations.
And you got a lot of nerve with your disparaging
remarks regarding my Saviour and my relationship
with Him, you don't know me at all, and to judge my
heart is showing you're judgemental bitterness.
This thread is closed to me. I opt for peace.
It's interesting how I'm usually one of
the first to defend women, and their
signifigance in history, especially in Christ.
I often point out it was a Woman that was first
to carry the Good News of our Risen Saviour
from the empty tomb, and I've had many times
of defending the truth that (true)christianity is the Best
thing to happen to women,
because it's makes all christians equal
in Christ, and true christians rejoice in that, and celebrate
together the gifts God has given to us.
Many try to argue that the christian religion causes women
to be oppresed, but I'm quick to disagree ... loudly.......
Very much, and I don't shy away from that, and I can prove to
anybody that Jesus loves women more than Any of us,
and sets them freer than any system or 'liberation' this world
has to offer. God knows my heart, so your accusations are false!
You want to admit I was just kidding around,
but you didn't take too kindly to it, that it's not
your cup of tea and you didn't like? That's fine.
But don't go judging my heart or my motives,
you're insulting and you're wrong.
Again, My words were not intended to harm,
but yours repeatedly are, so you might want to
check the mirror for who's doing the offending.
I DO struggle with the question in the OP title,
and can see good points on both sides,
I've even defended both at times, considering
both unique situations and context.
So, should women be 'pastors'?
I know of one, for right now, that shouldn't be.
But I won't judge all women based on that,
any more than all ppl should be judged as
offended, based on the opinions of a few.
Some ppl laugh at different things,
some cry at different things, some are offended...
We shouldn't judge but what IS the motive?
If they want to be pastor's to lord it over others,
then no.
If they have a genuine heart to minister goodness
and mercy, joy and love, then, let's all be about
that, in the way Jesus calls us to be.
Goodbye, cruel thread.....
(some of you on it, I miss already,
some bits were fun, and some I actually
learned some things.)
(now, if I've learned from any women,
and they 'Pastored' to me,
will I have to give it back?)
(*christian faith, not religion^)
