I'm not going to roll my eyes and say, oooh, you're so bad, you jokester you, when anyone can clearly read that post and see for themselves where I re-posted it on this very page of the thread and can judge quite easily for themselves if it was inappropriate. Trying to shame me isn't going to work for you. Anyone can go look at every post in here by you, in fact, and can make the judgement for themselves. And if they make the judgement that those kind of remarks, like needing a cold shower, are appropriate and fine, then I would be at a total loss of words at what they think is appropriate for "Bible" chat. You took a thing very precious, Jesus' teaching of washing each others feet, and you turned it into a rude defilement. So, huh uh, you're not going to shame me, buddy. I posted pics of hotpants in another thread. Nobody says something about it. He makes a joke and is called creepy. That's exactly the same as calling Joyce Meyer and all women here who wear tight jeans a skank. Look at someone's heart and stop judging and better not mess with Nu2see or you will mess with me.

I do not have a "Woman Pastor" but I do k now a women who pastors. One can do the work of a title and not have a title. only men seek after such things women know who they are in Christ and don't need a title :) LOL

for easter services, the music team vocals take turns leading songs.

Sounds good, I need mine with cheese though - it's a medical thingy. Lol

As I said, if you think it's appropriate to turn Jesus' teaching on foot washing into that kind of lewdness, I literally have nothing to say to you.
He is the one who gives his character less standing, not me.

Ah, I see. Well, you've cleared that up. It's in the houses where a meeting takes place, in the churches, and now in the chat rooms that we aren't allowed to speak against bad behavior by men. I just wasn't seeing the new law about chat rooms. We're only allowed to politely request that they stop. Got it.

Let me make sure I have it straight. We must listen to The Law of Paul to not call out a man on their bad and disrespectful behavior, but we can ignore Paul when he instructs us to leave behind coarse jesting. I'm slow to get the memo on all the new laws and which remain laws and which have become passe. Think I've got it now though. Thanks for clearing that up.

According to Ephesians 4:11 it is God Who gifts pastors to the church. Why would God say a bishop is to be the husband of one wife and then go ahead an send a wife in place of a husband?

I'm stuck in the second verse of the second chapter...
this footnote reads: "The Greek word anthropoi can refer to both men and women, depending on the context"
...so it looks like this one's gonna be quite a headache to sort out.

It's interesting how I'm usually one of
the first to defend women, and their
signifigance in history, especially in Christ.

I often point out it was a Woman that was first
to carry the Good News of our Risen Saviour
from the empty tomb, and I've had many times
of defending the truth that (true)christianity is the Best
thing to happen to women,

because it's makes all christians equal
in Christ, and true christians rejoice in that, and celebrate
together the gifts God has given to us.

Many try to argue that the christian religion causes women
to be oppresed, but I'm quick to disagree ... loudly.......
Very much, and I don't shy away from that, and I can prove to
anybody that Jesus loves women more than Any of us,
and sets them freer than any system or 'liberation' this world
has to offer. God knows my heart, so your accusations are false!

You want to admit I was just kidding around,

I DO struggle with the question in the OP title,
and can see good points on both sides,
I've even defended both at times, considering
both unique situations and context.

So, should women be 'pastors'?

I know of one, for right now, that shouldn't be. ;)
But I won't judge all women based on that,
any more than all ppl should be judged as
offended, based on the opinions of a few.

Some ppl laugh at different things,
some cry at different things, some are offended...
We shouldn't judge but what IS the motive?

If they want to be pastor's to lord it over others,
then no.
If they have a genuine heart to minister goodness
and mercy, joy and love, then, let's all be about
that, in the way Jesus calls us to be.

I said 'border line". But yeah, that is close to the actual description. I thought his "feet" post was in appropriate. I read the post by SBG saying that this was a old poster who was writing unbecoming PM's. He said in a post responding to me "easy for someone like you", which I have no idea what he meant, and I asked him to explain it and he didn't. I told him his posts seemed to indicate he was without the joy of Christ, and that he may lack a healthy amount of self confidence. He was taking the thread way off the main subject, after repeated requests to please get back on subject. I pointed out and implied that that while I was sensitive to his issues, there was a lot to be thankful for.
I said what I did about him having a altered perspective, believe or not, from love. Maybe I said it in a no-nonsense, curt way, but that was because I had hoped that it would be a little jarring to him and that he would come out of his joyless place.
I offered to speak to him in a PM, and also asked if I could pray for him with no reply to either.
I typed that if he was speaking to me about being arrogant, etc., that I did not mean that, I don't think I have that spirit, and I regretted it.
He may be the nicest guy in the world, I don't know, but I think he needs a little more self respect, and I said it, not from the spirit of brutality, but as a fellow Christian hoping to be of help, even if some may think otherwise.
You may ask who am I to do that? Your right maybe... but you could be wrong. The bible says we are our brothers keeper. Maybe I was in error to do that publicly, as I am not personally adverse to him, without really knowing him. I admit that is a possibility.
