I'm glad our society has restored the status of women to their rightful place as human beings as opposed to the property of men.

Also thankful I was not born in Pakistan or Saudi Arabia.
I wish our society restored women to our proper status. I thank God I am with enough believers who keep me in proper status.

Depleted, I won't talk to you when you're in this state, not speaking kindly or gently, rip-roaring all over everyone, popping in and out and arrogantly making all these sarcastic remarks.

If you want to have discourse with me I am glad to do that. But it's not going to happen this way.

Then again, you maybe don't want to talk to me at all and that's okay too. But I am explaining why I won't be answering posts like these until, or if, you stop speaking in this manner to everyone.
Probably be better if y'all didn't speak and her comments are quite pointed to you and not "everyone".

She could be more diplomatic about it but I can see how your words might rub the wrong way.

Probably not your intentions but perhaps you Should be made aware of it to prevent future misunderstandings?

For example, your post implies that anyone who don't see as you do is not part of the "true Church".

Though many Christians fall into, the sectarian trap, it goes against the Bible.

In Acts Paul spoke,to the Athenians and called them children of God Even though they were pagan worshippers of idols.

All humans are descendents of Adam and under the curse. God calls us to give them the gospel of salvation through Christ and bring all people back into the fold...therefore all are meant to be parts of the Body but not all have learned to function properly and many still need to be washed in the Blood.

If your idea of God is what brings people closer to each other, I really won't be following your way of interpreting. But thanks for explaining it. It also helps to see what your gospel is.
I suppose if you were looking for a reason not to follow this 'way of interpreting,' you would have to ignore most of my post and only see part of one sentence. Since all relationships outside of God's true love eventually end, God is the only one who truly brings people closer together -- and religion without God does not accomplish it, so it's a good test.

What is religion without this? It is the law of moses without the 2 commandments of Jesus - to love God and love eachother. Jesus said it all hinged on this. So why brush character and virtue and love aside? John 15:35 says we will be known to be God's by our love, and 1 John 4:8 says the one who does not love does not know God, for God is love. So how could we know God's meanings without knowing Love? If we consider it secondary to the scripture, doesn't that mean we consider God secondary to the scripture?

God is the one who holds all truth, love, and life, and for ages has been creating a community and family of his children. So... being closer to God and God's people is the point of everything. Judging an interpretation by whether it bears fruit to this, and the other fruits mentioned in the NT, is not a new concept.

Matthew 7:16 You will know them by their fruit. Grapes aren’t gathered from thorns, or figs from thistles, are they? 17 In the same way, every good tree produces good fruit, but a rotten tree produces bad fruit. 18 A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, and a rotten tree cannot produce good fruit.

In order to talk with you about this, you will have to clarify how my post has me implying she is not a member of the true church. I didn't say that anywhere in it. In fact, I can see that it isn't even wise to try to determine that at this time because she's going through some really tough things based on posts of hers I read elsewhere. I have hoped her ungentleness is related to these trials and that she usually walks much more gently.

I have seen, even two people just recently, this morning, implying to you that YOU are not of the true church. I wanted to call them on that behavior, but I didn't, because from what I have come to see of you, you would handle it with tact and love and patience.

But you will have to explain some more to me about how you think I have done this to her or to you or to anyone. I don't need someone to agree with me on all things to know if they are my true brothers and sisters. I only need to see fruit of the Spirit to know that. In fact, I and Grace777 have disagreed on a matter in the tongues thread. There was love and patience and humbling ourselves to each other in that conversation. That we agree or disagree is not what shows she is the true church. Oops, I mean HE. Grace 777 is a he (I did it AGAIN, B!) It is the fruit that shows him to me as belonging to me in Christ.

We were told we would know our brothers and sisters by their fruit. This fruit is unmistakable. I do it as I've been told to do. I don't judge who is my brother by agreement or disagreement or political affiliation or denomination. I judge by the fruit. The fruit shows in how they act or talk or relate to others.

Now if you mean to say that I judge by whether we agree as to if we are brothers, you can easily go to the thread on tongues and see quickly that it is not so. But you would of course expect that those walking in the Spirit would come to a unity, even despite disagreeing on some points. So I can judge if someone is my brother in the EXACT way I was told to judge it so I would know them - by their fruit.

If that doesn't clear it up, then you will have to explain in a little more detail what you were were trying to say about making me aware of rubbing the wrong way in order to avoid future misunderstandings. :)

Like i said I don't think it's your intention but there a faction on here who would like to make their own cults and gather people away from God by pretending..Paul earned of them as false teachers. Wolves invading the flock.

The, mods normally bann them after a time when they reveal their true motives...

Some might just be immature Christians who still need to walk with, the Spirit longer.

Let me go back and find and example, post.

By the way,i didn't need to know this but of gossip. A few years ago it might have really bothered me and made me paranoid. Now I will give it to God because it doesn't matter what they think of me. Only thing that, matters is what God thinks of me.

In the future though I would confront folks on their comments.

To judge someone else's salvation is to condemn yourself to being judged, not by the person but by God.

I know it can be disheartening, but I've taken great joy and rest in you guys and how the Holy Spirit has united us here. Grace777, JosephsDream, you, sharkwales and everyone else walking in the Spirit in love whose name I am not recalling this very second because they don't post often but when they do it is like God opened the windows of heaven for us.

The disheartening part comes when we forget that not everyone is the Church, the Church IS WHEREVER two or more called out ones are met together, just as the article Pw posted says. Not a building, not a set program, not a specific location, not with rules that grieve and silence the Holy Spirit in us - just WHEREVER two or more are gathered in His name.
This post implies an elitist exclusive attitude.

It is a great pity, and Im not pointing fingers, that this horrible thread has dissolved into sisters in the Lord turning on each other instead of uniting each other. What a great shame. As sisters in the Lord we need each others support. Women are called to ministry. We are ALL called to GO. If you don't agree with female pastors that's your right, but you are called to GO. Those who do believe in female pastors and feel called GO, and fulfill Gods calling on your life. But for mercies sake ladies lets not let all of this come between us. Lets do the work we are called to do and we each know in our own heart what that is. There are young women here that are looking to us as an example! Be strong and bold for the Lord, fulfill the call on your life whether it be pastor, Sunday school teacher, wife and mother. Do not let anyone discourage you from it! Lets let this thread die as it should. People are locked in their positions. We each answer to GOD,not each other. Ladies lets support one another to do good works and fulfill Gods call on our lives.

I can't believe I am posting something here again. But I had lunch with a male member of my church today. He is a spiritual, studious man of God. Real deal Christian. I asked him what he thought. BTW, my denomination, AG, believes woman should be allowed to pastor, but I actually disagree with one of their reasons why. But that is not the main point here.
So he disagrees, he thinks woman should not be permitted to pastor. But it was a nice, warm, friendly chat as it should be among Christians.
I also realized something as I was making my points to him. I am not sure if this has been said. The new Adam has freed us from the curse of the old Adam. Some believe that meant, among many other things, mans status over woman just by virtue of gender. But now it is a new covenant.
He came to change the status of not only pagans, who were dirt in the eyes of Jews, but also woman, whom Jews looked upon as second class citizens. In keeping with that theme...
Jesus spoke to the woman at the well, complimented the woman who dumped all the Spikenard on His feet in a way that was exclusive to anyone else, and it was revealed to Mary first that Jesus had risen. She was the one that made the announcement. This was all pointing to woman's status in Gods Kingdom, and how God views them.

There is so many spiritual strongholds warring against God's word in this that I am just going to give it to God.

1. You are not a prophet, and I am covered in the blood of Jesus. My life is in His hands.

2. We don't throw out the old testament and we are not judged by "the word of Jesus" as if the new testament can be converted into new laws to bind and chain people under. We are judge righteous because Jesus died on,the cross for the, propiatiton of our sins. The requirements have been nailed to the cross.

3. Jesus is the Bread if life, Manna from heaven..He is the Word and He is alive and speaks not only through the Bible but also through His Holy Spirit.

Lord, give them eyes to see through the lies the world would enslave them to and give us hearts to seek Your truth and wisdom. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
Ariel :),
Here you addressed phil, one of the ones who seemed to be implying it.
You say he has many strongholds and can;t hear what you are saying
Is it when I say things like that or similar to that, that someone just doesn't seem to be able to hear what I'm saying, that you object to?

Being sincere and trying to figure out what it is that you object to in my manner. :)

And here you have implied that some or someone in this thread is trying to start a cult? That's a question. :)
And that I strike you that way even though you don't think it's my intention to start a cult like one of them?
That's another question, not a statement.
Trying to figure out what you men to say.

Ariel, please listen. I'm being sincere. That wasn't gossip. That was a discussion of what they had posted to you. I wasn't betraying a confidence or trying to tell others something they couldn't plainly see themselves one page back in the thread.
Listen, I don't say this to mean, but maybe we shouldn't talk either for a bit. You seem to not like something about me. I'm fine with that but maybe this will just derail instead of bringing unity between us. :)

This post implies an elitist exclusive attitude.
Well...not everyone is the church. If you perceive that as an elitist attitude, I don't think there's anything I can really do about that, ariel.

We were told not everyone among us would be our brothers. And we were told how to determine if they were our brothers - by their fruit. There is a list of the fruits of the Spirit. They are what we are to judge this by. Does this mean we condemn others? NO! It makes us love them and desire He save them! It makes us labor for them in prayer!

I have read the comments, and in spite of many attempts, no one has convinced me that Paul's letter to Timothy in verses 1-7 are not the qualifications for (bishop or overseer) pastor. If you feel that you are otherwise correct, have bathed that belief in prayer and fasting, and that God has called you to do something, then by all means do what God has called you to do.

I apply one sound principle to my walk with Christ. If I feel that I am being called to do something that is obviously contrary to scripture, God ain't the one calling me.

If it helps any, your ex shouldn't be pastoring a church either. (Ex. Really kills the list of things a person should be to be a pastor right there.)
Lol luckily he doesn't care what women say about that. I've read nowhere that they can't be divorced. If so God may not speak either LOL. Only place where I feel welcome is in a church with divorced pastors. I can't stand those judgemental know it alls with their 'oh we're so great, we stayed together'.

I always tell my ex: if anyone bothers you tell them it was my fault and you had a Biblical reason LOL.
But you can pastor a church if you were a mass murderer.
