Bro, I am a pastor and have been single for 6 years. Here is the only thing I can say for sure. You are not looking for anyone. You are not looking for someone. You are looking for THE ONE GOD has for you. Trust me, I am in the struggle and know the frustration. But when I am about to lose it. When I am about to get bummed about being lonely, I remember this. Trash is on the surface. Treasure is deep, takes time to get and has incredible value. You are too valuable for surface trash (and I am not woman bashing. I have told women the same thing) Wait for the treasure. Be so close to God that He leads you to the one. Because to get to her, for her to get to you, it has all got to go THROUGH HIM. No trash, bro. God has treasures for His people. Be encouraged

A woman on Facebook who found a guy annoyed me to no end with those pics she had to bombard us with, but she made me think. She had to wait because he was on drugs and not even saved. I wonder if she prayed for her future husband. He's a sort of evangelist here, he's so enthousiastic and getting the harvest in.
Yes it's a struggle to find someone and it's even greater struggle to stay with someone you found. They say if you really love each other it will work out naturally. Well, it's a myth. It takes constant hard work and effort to make it last. Struggle is part of life but we can find rest amidst all the struggles by following Jesus Christ. The more we delight ourselves in Him, He will give the desires of our hearts.

Yes I agree with you Tintin but I also agree with God's word. If we love God we will seek His will and will resist the evil desires of our hearts and desire for things that are pleasing to Him and in accordance to His will.

The secret is to focus all on them; Their life, their past, their future, their desires, needs, dreams, and what they think about everything. Don't talk about yourself at all and keep your opinions to yourself. If they have a cat, you love cats. if they collect antiques, you love antiques, if their car doesn't run, you fix cars. Listen to their problems and remember that you have no problems of your own. Your life evolves around them, all their needs and desires are your only purpose in life, she is the center of your world. She is also the walking definition of perfection, her looks, weight, height are all god-like, and remember the necessity of telling her how beautiful she is several times a day, never forgetting to dwell on her wonderful big heart and dynamic personality. Never ask her for help, money, or to do anything, and never disagree or correct her. She must be the center of your universe in every respect, you want and need nothing else. And remember, you must reinforce your devotion regularly, with flowers, chocolates, jewelry, and lavish gifts. Otherwise her self-esteem and purpose will diminish, and there will be hell to pay. And never ever, even mildly hint that she may have done something wrong, and God forbid, never ever suggest that she do any work, never even mention that horrible 4 letter word around her, Princess will never tolerate such a notion.

I have been single for a number of years now, and I thought how wonderful it would be if I could meet a warm, affectionate Christian woman my age.
But even in Christian circles like Christian mingle etc. it seems nearly impossible to get noticed, and when you do get noticed, it seems to be by the type of woman that is confused about what a Christian relationship is supposed to be all about.
