I believe you too did not live at the time of Jesus to witness what happened. !!

There is no doubt God exists, there is logic behind that as there can't be a perfect system without someone making that system, even mathematics makes u think there must be someone who set the laws of physics, chemistry or biology or astronomy !!

Only question that remains for me to find is which religion actually is true. That's why i am here to understand what you guys think makes it right religion. There are other religions too. So i am just studying all of em :)
The best way to study the Christian faith is to study the Bible ... :)

Bingo.

We have a winner.

Without the ingredient of Adam, the second Adam makes no "sense"

I never lead someone to Jesus without the Adam dimension.

Religions have no remedy for Adam's fall and curse.

Muhammed, budda, and all the rest, have no remedy, and no living savior.

They all with out fail require "do"

Christianity requires faith in a living God,and no works for the new birth.

Christianity is a person.

That person says, DONE !!!

RELIGION ALWAYS EQUALS DO.
JESUS EQUALS...DONE

So awesome!!

None other comes close by a million miles.

Jesus is the genuine. The champion.

All others are cheap worthless fakes. So sad man is so duped.
I believe no living saviour is needed, God himself can forgive if he wants right?

Hi all,

I recently joined the forum. I am not christian. Someone here told me only Christians will go to heaven. Why is that so? I believe Jews(not all) and Muslims also believe in heaven. Why only Christians will go to Paradise?
John 13:35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Matthew 5:43-48 “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. ...

John 8:31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples.

Matthew 10:22 You will be hated by everyone because of me, but the one who stands firm to the end will be saved.

Although Islam, and Judaism, believe in one God,and seem to stay out of the nature worship aspect of the other religions, they need to accept Jesus as their savior, which this salvation is for all people, which Christianity is truly the universal religion of the world, and if everybody in the world accepted Jesus, and His ways, there would not be fighting on earth, not even in the least sense.

The Bible says creation testifies of a higher power, and of His attributes, which one of them is love, which only the God of Israel,Jesus, displays that without fault, and identifies Himself as the one true God by showing the whole history of mankind, which God said no other person,or religion, will be able to do.

1Ti 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

The truth is the man Christ Jesus is our savior, for only a sinless man can reconcile sinful mankind back to God.

No man is sinless so God manifest Himself in flesh, which means He manifest all His attributes to the man Christ Jesus, and God laid down His life for us,and purchased the Church with His own blood, which He reconciled mankind back to Himself in the person of Jesus Christ,God and man in harmony, and all who accept Jesus, and receive the Spirit, are in harmony with God.

The world needs to put aside all their religious ways that do not benefit, and have no purpose, and accept Jesus, and allow the Spirit to lead them, going about doing good, and then they will be right with God,and it is as simple as that.

While it is nice that Islam, and Judaism, believe in one God,and stay away from the nature worship aspect of other religions, like Christianity, they need to accept Jesus, for He is our mediator between God and people, which Jesus said no person comes to the Father, but by the Son.

Jesus is the only link to give us a relationship with God,for He is sinless, and people cannot have a spiritual relationship until they are led of Jesus' Spirit, which can only be if you accept Him.

Jesus is the missing link in a lot of people's lives,in a spiritual sense.

The answer is an empty tomb. The answer is the 500 witnesses who saw Jesus die - and then he was alive again -complete with the holes in his hands, and the wound in his side.

Even Josephus and Tacitus talk about Jesus. They are contemporaneous historians - one Jewish, the other Muslim. They lived when Jesus lived, although they did not believe. So he is historically real, despite what some humanists and Muslims say.

Today is Resurrection Sunday! We celebrate the risen Lord, Jesus Christ.

If you are not a troll, then I suggest you read my thread: Happy Resurrection Sunday. I have all the Bible passages that talk about the amazing power of God and the resurrection. This power, the Jews denied. This power of the risen Saviour, the Muslims deny.

http://christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/133477-happy-resurrection-sunday.html

It it not about good works, it is about believing in Jesus Christ, both God and man, who died on the cross for our sins. Any other religion is missing that essential truth of the gospel. Jesus died, and was raised to life.

The empty tomb - no other faith or religion has it - their leaders are all dead and long gone.

The empty tomb - the proof that Jesus is alive and rules and reigns forever!
No doubt history can be changed. There is enough account of Muhammad being prophet of God, so do i believe that ? Best approach is to analyse the teachings of all religions and choose the best & most logical !!

Then why would God's Word not be logical to you? (Since you responded to His Word with your apparent need for "logic".)

Anyway, it's Resurrection Sunday. "For God so loved the world He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will never die, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to condemn it, but that the world might be saved through Him."- John 3:16--17.

One must believe. That's why there are no unbelievers (non-Christians) in Heaven.
Because everybody claims their book is the right one !!

He does. But throughout the Bible, without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins. But now instead of having to sacrifice an animal every time for forgiveness, Jesus Himself was the last sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins.

"In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness." - Hebrews 9:22

"Jesus has cleared the way by the blood of His sacrifice, acting as our priest before God." - Hebrews 10:20.

I hope that helps clear things up. :)

Why is shedding of blood necessary?? God can forgive sins by repentance. My Christan friend said this to me !!

Yes i will read the Bible. Just wanted to get an idea of what Christians believe !!
This is the basic premise that Christians believe;

John 3:16-18
[SUP]16 [/SUP]For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

God having a son. My mind is not able to digest that. Why can't God just forgive our sins. Why did Jesus who was innocent be killed for our crimes. If God is just, he must punish us not any innocent !!
Hello DanishDenmark,

From the very beginning God has been teaching that there must be an innocent sacrifice for sin. He demonstrated this when Adam and Eve sinned by bring them animal skins, which God would have had to kill in order to cover them. It was demonstrated also with Cain and Abel, for when Cain made his offering from his crops, it was not excepted. But when Abel offered the choice fat portions from his flock God was pleased with his offering and that because it had to do with shed blood. This is further demonstrated with God's set up of animal sacrifices with Israel. Unless there is a shedding of blood there is no forgiveness for sins. All that being said, God could have not required any kind of sacrifice for sin and just said, "everyone is forgiven!" But because God is a righteous God and he remains true to his word, there had to be an ultimate sacrifice for sin in order to reconcile mankind to himself and the innocent Son of God was that perfect sacrifice. The righteous for the unrighteous!

The Lord left heaven and miraculously became a human being so that he could kin himself with the human race in order to be an acceptable sacrifice for us. He committed no sin, but paid the penalty for all sin. He shed his innocent blood in keeping with his own word and thereby making payment for sin. Now, whoever trusts in him as the One who provided salvation by the shedding of his blood, God is crediting the believer with Christ's righteousness for their faith. Because God is righteous and all sin is against him, all sin must be accounted for. For those who are in Christ, he was already held accountable for their sins. For those who reject Christ, they will be held accountable for their own sins at the great white thrown judgment, where the books will be opened and they will answer for every idle word.

If God is just, he must punish us not any innocent !!
If God were to punish us, then it would be forever in separation from him in the lake of fire and that because we are all guilty of sin. Jesus had no sin, but paid the penalty for sin. Since the word of God says that "the reward for sin is death" then because Jesus had no sin, death could not hold him and he rose bodily on the third day. In the process, he took care of the debt that was owed for sin, freeing all who would believe in him. God saved some for his own good pleasure, lavishing his love towards mankind whom he created and pouring out his grace and mercy upon us by providing his own Son who became a man, who had no sin, to satisfy the wrath that we deserve as a result of our sins. Since the debt has already been paid, for those who believe, they are free, free indeed!

I chose the one that has power. Noone was raised from the dead in the name of Muhamed or Allah or whosoever, only in Jesus' Name. I just checked God out if He existed and He answered with signs I asked for.

I know the Muslims believe people will be raised from death on Judgement day. And they also believe in Jesus. We can't verify the history but now we can analyse the teachings and logic !!

Hi all,

I recently joined the forum. I am not christian. Someone here told me only Christians will go to heaven. Why is that so? I believe Jews(not all) and Muslims also believe in heaven. Why only Christians will go to Paradise?
Full version.

God is perfect, and therefore, righteously demands perfect from his creation.

He gave us a set of laws (more than the Ten Commandments, but the rest are mostly case studies for the Ten Commandments) that defines perfect. And then Jesus (who is God) gave the shortened condensed version of those laws.

Mark 12:
30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ 31 The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”

That's the whole shebang of what God righteously wants from us.

Can't do it or won't do it? It's a won't with a certain amount of can't involved.

Now if you can't help but steal something from a store, do you think you deserve to be let go? Or do you think you deserve your punishment? How about if you hurt someone? The laws are established already and if you break them, you deserve the punishment.

Same deal with God. Break his law (and notice the laws I mentioned are always in civic/criminal law and God's law, because it's just not right), and you deserve punishment. Any law, even once. You have. We all have. The punishment is separation from God, death, and hell. Every single one of us deserves just that.

BUT, God is also gracious, loving, and compassionate. So, in his same law he made a law that no one ever does. If you rob a bank, and I never have, I can take your punishment for you. Robbing a bank would cost you ten years, but I can take on your ten years for you. You know that part of Gods law when you hear the words "scapegoat."

Real thing, really is part of God's law, except not one of us merely broke one law, and there aren't many who haven't broken any of the laws we broke right down the list. As for not breaking all the laws? Only one came to earth to do that. His name is Jesus.

One better -- he became the scapegoat for some who don't deserve it.

So God in full righteousness, full glory, full graciousness, and full love died that whosoever will believe will live, come back to God, and avoid hell.

No one -- not one single person other than Christ ever in the entire race of men -- can do that for others but Christ.

Unfair? It seems unfair to Christ but he's the one who wrote that law, so even that's not unfair. And the only price we pay is to trust God. (He's trustworthy, so worth it.)

So, yeah, only believers in that God (the only God) go to heaven and get to spend eternity with God.

So, want that? He's offering. He's offering a whole bunch more than that, since once saved from what we rightfully deserve we honestly are no longer separated from God. If you don't accept that and trust him, sure, you, along with everyone else who refuses to trust him, get what you deserve -- separation from God, death and hell. It's got nothing to do with believing in heaven. Anyone who doesn't want to imagine becoming worm food after death tends to believe in a heaven.

Besides, what do you imagine heaven is other than eternity with the God you're not happy with simply because he doesn't accept everyone into the place he lives?

To think heaven is anything but eternity with God is something like being handed over a huge magnificent estate complete with original owner being the prime occupant and rule maker. You want the estate, but minus the occupant, his rules, the ground, the buildings, the air, the furniture, and everything else on that estate. You're offered a grand slab of real estate occupied by the Creator of the Universe. If you don't want the Creator, why would you want the real estate? That's who's there -- GOD! It doesn't become whatever you imagine. It's a real place and it's all about God.

(My dad has this strange concept that heaven is his eternal vacation plan where he spends eternity visiting every planet in the universe. I told him that's not it. He spends eternity with God. That reality changed his mind on wanting heaven. Scary thought. Dad really is the smartest of us and yet can't catch this basic idea! It's certainly not brains that saves.)

Muslims don't believe in the Jesus of the Bible. To them, Jesus was just a prophet. They believe He was never crucified. They teach it was actually Judas on the cross.
