Youre very ignorant
Maybe she watches different. I find nice people more beautiful than those that are supposed to be beautiful according to the world tbh. Only person I find really ugly is Hitler.

I seriously doubt God decides who will be pretty as opposed to Dianne down the road being ugly or the girl across from you in school having an overbite

If you think you are above average in the looks dept., blame your parents and their genes

The Bible states He knows how many hairs we have on our heads...but He does not add to them nor does He pull them out

If we are going to state that God makes a person good looking and another one is buck tooth ugly with bow legs, then I guess He also pushes kids in front of oncoming cars and causes cancer

get a grip people!! :p

... Pink names are girls, blue names are guys....
That's why I never wear a pink shirt incase somebody thinks I'm a girl, and anyway, my Mum always said I suit "blue" so very much!

Michael Jackson never wore pink either, not that I recollect anyway, come to think of it, I never saw him wearing blue either! :p

Im at a quandary as to why you would use michael jackson as your example of masculinity . Of all the men you could have named..... It takes a confident man to wear a pastel color. I think it is very appealing. Real men wear pink:)

Friends! I find some of the posts here too offending. But it's a good thing to remember this: Hurting people hurt people.

I shall move on to other threads and pray for what you're seeking for godsslife. God bless!

Thanks for the support. It's tough, but I'll keep trying to bear-up under the strain.

I don't know in this case, but have your back is very American. I have your back. I have a few people's back on here. It's more a military term, (keeping an eye out for enemy at the flank) then body (checking out your back side.) So, it might be another Americanism.
Is that the same thing as saying, "I'm watching your six o'clock?"

Something smells fishy (based on this thread and others) and I've noticed I'm not at the fishing markets. But I can't think of anything nice to say, so I'll keep my mouth shut.

I hate that god gave me beauty because it has given me the wrong decisions in life and even made me sin.. I sometimes wish I was a regular looking person or a person most men dont give attention to i know this is a stupid post or whatever but its a random thought ... Im grateful for it but the same time I don't enjoy it that much .. I dont mean to sound conceited or anything
Something that can happen, when women get a really negative experience with someone based on their looks, they can associate that experience with beauty and the idea becomes tainted. They can become ashamed of it in various ways. If no one ever treated you differently, how would you feel about your looks? Maybe if you have internalized someone's 'dirty' way of seeing your looks, or you see it as dirty because of guilt, you could ask the Holy Spirit to cleanse you of that and forgive yourself or the other person. Or it may even go deeper into an identity issue you might have inherited from childhood.

Also there is advice here about downplaying your looks and not being competitive with other women or getting attention from men that way, even if society tells you you have to in order to have status.

I think when someone looks good, they become a symbol to others who look at what that person symbolize to them, and love that, but that is not the real person or the whole person they are looking at and loving, and it creates many issues in relating to people. If you're pretty or have some other desirable quality, people see what they want to see in you and don't necessarily look with the heart.

As for normal looking people, yes we all have temptations, wrong decisions, struggles, regardless of how we look. A 'normal' woman might be preoccupied with other people's looks because 'the grass is always greener on the other side' while a prettier woman might think it's so difficult to have too much low quality attention -- but then if she could look normal she might still have just as much trouble finding quality attention. It's true that some people face more pressure than others though.

but enough seriousness. you know who else is really good-looking? Jesus. look at all those paintings. you should ask him how he deals with it.

but no really, God is beautiful. that is a good beauty. it's not all bad, maybe just focus on a deeper truer version of beauty and then what's on the surface will be part of something more.

29"Many daughters have done nobly, But you excel them all." 30Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain, But a woman who fears the LORD, she shall be praised. 31Give her the product of her hands, And let her works praise her in the gates.

You are young. I pray you be strong in the Lord and use your talents for him.
