Ahhh...I can't. I used to BE that person. I was QUIETLY that person, holding the pain of my condition of slavery more inward, but I was that person still. If someone is in prison I want to visit them and give them some water because I know the pain and anguish of being in prison. I was visited every day by the Holy Spirit even in that condition. He never left me. I belonged to Him.

I used to be him too. Thats why I spoke to him the way I did, I know where he comes from, and wants him to be free..

But there comes a time when casual conversation becomes useless. There is no problem stopping in from time to time and saying Hi, And see if he changed. But to keep up the nonsense. Well as I have been shown lately, it becomes fruitless.

True the way to God is through admitting our sin and receiving His righteousness while He takes our sin (2 Cor 5.21). I am accepted by God because of His righteousness, not my own. The Pharisee wanted to be accepted because of his own righteousness, not the righteousness of Christ,

But he did not say 'add for your salvation'. He says that to lack this would make him unfruitful

But unprofitable servants are cast into outer darkness, and unfruitful branches are broken off and burned.

You just don't like the red hot spotlight shining on and exposing your errors, so you create an entire class of offense that pointing out errors in doctrine is heresy hunting, and accuse those who do such of malice and slander.

Wow.....just.....woooow.

If THAT isn't a textbook case of the pot calling the kettle black, I don't know what is!

BTW, HeRose...are ya gonna get around to setting the record straight as to what you really believe?

Does God count our sins against us or not?

Does God justify us, or do we?

Does one have to stop sinning to retain salvation?

Must we do good works to maintain salvation?

Here is a grace-based teaching on "unfruitful branches"...I like to use this website as he has tackled the obscure scriptures and answered the detractors of the gospel of the grace of Christ.

I find the comments useful as people can ask questions on the bottom ..if anyone is interested in this subject..here is the link ..you will fall deeper in love with the Lord Jesus when you see His grace clearly...:)

Just what I thought HR. I've listened to Prince for some time now and know his stand and preaching on grace. If you don't listen to someone and instead decide to (like many do) take bits and pieces and clips from this and that you can destroy someones reputation based on something that was never said.

Like you do so often with Grace777 here. It's like it really seems like some horrible thing is being said by him., when in fact it is an amazing truth. God says to come let us reason together. It takes time to "listen" to another person without distrust and preconceived ideas leading the way.

If we as believers never learn to do this, we will never learn outside our kingdom of our own imaginations.
The Bible calls us to do this because there are many new truths a head to learn and we do it all in the freedom of Christ as the Holy Spirit leads us in teaching us the Bible, God's Word. It is a treasure that we have to mine daily. The Holy Spirit never leads us astray. We are to learn to know His voice and we will then be able to have discernment. All of which takes TIME to learn how to do.

I find it amazing in the past few months, Every time someone says something bad about that person, and then posts a video to prove their point, When further research is done, every time the person who brought up the allegation to begin with is seen as the false accuser.

It is almost to the point you can not believe anything the person says about the one he is attacking..

Now there is a great truth that I pray for a lot with the Lord. We can "do" the will of God from our flesh or wait for the Lord to give us the grace. Abraham attempted to fulfill the word of God to him in his own self-effort and created an Ishmael ( and they are still fighting the Jews to this day )

God had to wait until there was no hope in the flesh for either Sarah or Abraham before He could fulfill His word by His power. Abraham and Sarah did have to be "willing" to participate tho.......:)

I never saw this last part either but it has been my experience! I just went on in that manner, trying to be good, through many cycles of: depression when I failed - renewed resolve - depression when I failed, and on and on.

I had to come to the point of...abject misery and no confidence at all in my ability to be good and do good inside of me before I got free of it. There was definitely a crash and burn aspect to it. That car was totaled man. No part of it that could be salvaged.

Hey at least I'm not 100 or anything. :)

I have some experience here! I grew up surrounded by passive-aggressive. It is more like...(you're right that there is a "me against the world" mentality) but it's more like...using your "manners" to get someone. The P-A wants to get someone back for not doing what they want or for doing something they DIDN'T want the person to do. So it's a control thing more than anything else. It's like....you won't agree with me or do what I want, so I'm going to get you back for that in sneaky ways. How sneaky and hard to see those attacks ARE really depends on the skill and intellect of the attacker.

The P-A wants everyones approval, and to be able to cause all to see that they weren't trying to be underhanded or mean, so they devise ways to passively show their aggression. They are great "rule keepers" in that they find a way to attack WITHIN what society deems polite.

It can get quite brutal. I've been there. If I had to narrow down what is going through a P-A's head when they are on the warpath, it would be: I will teach you to never defy my wishes ever again because I will make you so miserable you'll not DARE defy me again.

I don't like passive aggressiveness because it's inherently dishonest. That's why I confront people and their errors very openly, honestly, and directly, which is the exact opposite of passive aggression.

HeRose,

People are people, false-grace, hyper-grace, Prince, MAD, etc, is a broad brush. There are so many types of "grace believers", or dispensational schools of thought, just be careful not to harden your heart to the gift of grace and the simplicity that is in Christ Jesus, pursue the truth in all honesty. If something is different, it is not the same.

God bless you and keep you.

AMEN!!! CAN I GET ANOTHER AMEN??!!!!!!

I think it never becomes useless unless we begin to walk in the same spirit. If we keep walking in the Spirit we know, there is always hope. But we let another spirit influence us and it goes downhill real quick. :) Hope, faith and love!

This is interesting. I have read that gnosticism (the doctrine of salvation by knowledge) had essentially two fundamental characteristics: 1) a pessimistic worldview that considered all matter to be evil and any spirit to be good, and 2) the utterance of magic formulae that served to dispel unwanted thoughts.

As usual you misrepresent Gnosticism. They believed they were 'saved' by knowledge LITERALLY, knowledge which came to them through emanations as they advanced from one to another. There was no goodness about it either imputed or imparted.
They did not believe in the Holy Spirit as we do. They believed their knowledge of emanations made them what they called 'spiritual'. Their flesh could be as evil as they wanted.. Their magic formulae pertained to their peculiar idea of 'Knowledge' which meant knowledge of higher emanations.

you should LEARN what they teach before talking about them.,

I hear you! I don't like it either!
But when we understand that it's coming from real fear and anguish, we can forgive and try to help them. :)

Then how about answering my questions I posted to you?

If we've been wrong in the past regarding what you believe, now's the time to set us straight.

so you are actively aggressive, are you, the very opposite of what Christ taught,

I agree because we all can be defiled by being influenced by the bitterness of others and thus become bitter ourselves if we don't stay with living in grace..

Hebrews 12:15 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God; that no root of bitterness springing up causes trouble, and by it many be defiled;

this is true. at some point, we all need to stop having the same argument with the same ( usually 2 ) people about the same thing ( works vs. grace, which are not opposed to each, but should compliment each other ) every day.

The only way I know to stop passive aggressive behavior is to not enable it by confronting it directly. I know what co-dependency is all about (fear on both sides).

But.....but....what will I do with my time?
