Now when they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up from the Abyss will attack them, and overpower and kill them.8 Their bodies will lie in the public square of the great city—which is figuratively called Sodom and Egypt—where also their Lord was crucified. REV 11:8

... off the top of my head ... The Holy Spirit and God cannot be "killed" ... I don't see how their bodies could lie in the street when they are spirit ... and it also says "where their Lord was crucified" Jesus is not the Lord of God and the Holy Spirit.

Read Revelation 11 ....

How is it that we have to believe that Jesus came in the flesh,as Christians, and when it comes to our Father and the Holy Spirit, we think that they couldn't or wouldn't come in the flesh in these last days.

According to Scripture, there are 2 men, who have never died, they could be the 2 witnesses, but no, it wont be God the Father and the Holy Spirit.

So, your argument would be the same as the Pharisees argument about Jesus. Wouldn't it? I have studied this topic for over 25 years, and I still can't rule out this possibility. As God said to Sarah when she laughed at the idea of her having a son at her advanced age. IS ANYTHING TO HARD FOR THE LORD.

Because the bible does not teach it.

Jesus said that those who saw Him saw the Father. The Holy Spirit appeared as a dove that descended upon Jesus. The Father is Spirit and the Holy Spirit is Spirit. You can know their presence but not see them face to face. Face to face with the Father is to die as Moses was told.

It is likely that the two witnesses will be Jewish prophets like Elijah for whom the Lord Jesus was mistaken.

I would suggest that one should study why Jesus Christ came in the flesh. If we have solid understanding of the God Man, and what Jesus Christ accomplished in His flesh(true humanity)...........we would understand that the Father nor the Holy Spirit would never put on flesh.

Jesus Christ is the unique person of the universe. His Glory is what he accomplished for mankind by making Himself a little lower than the angels for a time.

Jesus Christ, lowered Himself by becoming a man. Went to the Cross and died as a man for mankind. It is His Glory.

To understand who the two witnesses are has baffled bible students for 2000 yrs. Since we know this, I say its not a sin to consider every possibility. I believe that using our God given imagination coupled with prayer, bible study and guidance from the Holy Spirit, we can discover the deep things of God. Remember what Jesus said when asked about the wife of the seven brothers.
In the reserection, who's wife would she be? The Lord said" you do err greatly because you miss read the scripture and do not understand the power of God. The bible and the universe clearly teach the power of God with out limits.i say we have to start from that premise, and build from there.

And we need to remember that the power of God cannot impugn any of His divine attributes.

God is love, but His love cannot save all of mankind because His righteousness demands Justice..........hence we have to believe that Christ died for our sins. Christ satisfied Justice on the cross.

He is all powerful, but His love for us can't impugn His justice.

God becoming flesh is reserved for The Lord Jesus Christ alone.

[h=1]Zechariah 4King James Version (KJV)[/h]4 And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.
2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:
3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
4 So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of theLord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts.
7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.
8 Moreover the word of the Lord came unto me, saying,
9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me unto you.
10 For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the Lord, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
12 And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?
13 And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
14 Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

zechariah 4 makes it clear that the two anointed ones are the same as the two witnesses in revelation 11. my church interprets them as the old and new testaments of the holy bible. zechariah confirms that they are the "word of the lord unto zerubbabel":

Zec 4:5 Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.
Zec 4:6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel...

the papacy made war against the bible by preventing people from having access to it, and by persecuting those who placed their faith in its message during the 1,260 day-years that the holy roman empire ruled, beginning with the implementation of the code of justinian in 538 AD and the ending with the papacy receiving a deadly wound when pope pius VI was taken captive by napoleon's general alexander berthier in 1798 AD. the bible was metaphorically dead in the streets of Europe (sodom and Egypt) during those 1,260 day-years. but after the papacy received that deadly wound in 1798, bible societies began to spring up in Britain and America and the two witnesses (god's word) stood on their feet. that marks the time in earth's history when the gospel began to go out to the whole world with rapidity.

When Moses was given the pattern of the altar and the tabernacle. It was called the tabernacle of witness. This is where Mose would go to communicate with God. Just a thought.

Exodus 33:7 "Moses used to take the tent and pitch it outside the camp, a good distance from the camp". The tabernacle was not yet built at this point (not until Ex. 36-38). While "tent of meeting" is used of both this tent and the tabernacle (Ex. 29:42; 40:2), it was Aaron, as High Priest, who entered the tabernacle (once it was built). Moses met with God as described in Ex 33:11, "face to face, just as a man speaks to his friend." In Ex 40:35, it says, "Moses was not able to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud had settled on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle."

Everything in the universe tells us something about our God. From a DNA strand to a star, we see, we sense,we taste,we smell,we touch. We can know in part, by the incredibly detail that God goes into. It should humble us to the point that we see how much higher the knowledge of our Father is than our own. I don't believe its much different when it comes to studying His word. It is so deep and rich and has the power to change peoples lives. Certainly, there are things about God that we cannot now grasp, like how he has always existed without having a beginning. It is our lifes mission to do good, love justice and walk this earth humbly with our God. Part of that is to examine the holy scriptures. I am so thankful for them. I have always had a zeal for study in the word.

They are 2 individuals, prophets with great delegated power and authority from The Trinity to act during the Great Tribulation as a witness against the lying signs and wonders done by Antichrist and the False Prophet...Dan 11v32, Mal 4v5,6, Matt 17v11, 24v24, 2Thess 2v1-12 (esp. v9), Rev 11v3,6,8,10, 13v12-18

O.K I will go through the scripture I use to make my case. I'll put forth 2 at a time, since we have many to go to. Read Hab 3:1-6 and the 1st chapter of Micah. What are your thoughts. I think I see some evidence that Father and Holy Spirit come down to servey what has been going on.
