Physically yes but they invented dispensationalism and promoted the Pre Trib view point. Schofields dubious Bible with his notes is the backbone of that theology and since his death in 1922 has been revised four times. The most notable version
was published in 1967. Although Schofield is long dead he is still listed as a member of the OUP editorial board.
published by the Oxford University Press is. Schofields Bible is basically the KJV but he revised it in hundreds of places to make it fit with his theology and notes he added to it. I'm suprised you havn't heard of these two gentlemen.

Hi tanakh,

Through my own personal studies I came to the conclusion of a pre-trib interpretation and I have never read Scofield. In the same way, people call me a Calvinist, when I have yet to read anything by Calvin. It is just used as an attempt to discredit the person.

It also takes the debate to the minds of dead men, rather that the word.

We both know this tactic of theirs.

I got saved in a amil church. I sat down as a babe in Christ and voiced my concern,as that verse by Jesus "...trib such as never has been or ever will be..",was a red flag that he was in error.

He also pointed out the u turn on the white horses.

I decided to go with the word.

Those dead men never have influenced me,although they were labeled boogy men by my then pastor.

The word teaches a gathering of the bride ,a harvest of the living saints.

It is impossible for it to be post trib

which shows you were in error, it is clear that it refers to great tribulation on the jews from 70 ad onwards as Luke 24 makes clear,

Ahwatukee,

Great answer! I see what you are saying. Thank you for showing me some of the mistakes I made about this passage (horses, crowns of gold, etc.). I understand what you are saying better now.
