Just some thoughts to consider please.
I also liked many of PeacefulWarrior's comments/posts. Personally had no problem with him. That being said, there are different ways to do things. Some good, some not such a good idea.
IF one wishes to exit a Public Forum/Site (regardless of the venue), then they should just do so. Why is it necessary to advertise that exit? The only purpose for such an exit is to take an opportunity to criticize the Forum/Site, and/or encourage complimentary statements from other members.
I do not know RoboOp, or any of the Owners, Admin(s), or the Moderators. What I do know is that the Owner(s), Admin(s) and Moderators invest a lot of time, effort, and expense to keep a Public Forum/Site online and running problem free. Often times, with little gratitude or even acknowledgement.
If the average Member actually realized what goes on "behind the scenes" they would have a greater appreciation for the people who work to provide them a Forum/Site to fellowship on. There are numerous attacks that occur every day upon Sites (especially Christian Sites) where the objective is to disrupt and/or shut down the Site. Then there are the Trolls who create a Member Profile and come to the Site to do the same thing. To create problems among the Members, and to gain attention to themselves.
These things have to be identified and the Site/Members protected from. There is nothing FAKE about the work required to keep such a Site as Christian Chat up and running.
I know that people can become upset, sad, disappointed, or even angry by the sometimes less than Christian commentary here on C.C. But, rather than blame the Admin(s), Moderators, blame the folks who are truly responsible. The Members. A Public Forum/Site is ONLY as good as it's Members (regarding the quality of content).
Again, I ask folks to consider, if someone determines (for whatever reason) that they no longer want to be a Member here on C.C. then simply stop posting. As well, they can send a Personal Message to the Admin(s) or one of the Moderators asking them to delete their Account.
I can not state that this is the Police of Christian Chat, but I would think if a Member did this, and had been well regarded during their Membership, and should they (at a later date) decide they would like to rejoin under a new Screen Name or Profile, they would probably be allowed to. Don't take this as POLICY, it is just my opinion. I know when I owned a Site, that I would do this for Members who simply needed a "break" from the Forum/Site.
Anyway, just my thoughts............
