When you read the scriptures about Sodom & Gomorrah homosexuality seems to be the only sin mentioned..... but knowing how sinners are (been one myself), there's never one sin, but many. The reason homosexuality is mentioned is 'cuz it's the predominate sin, the one being committed the most. Also, homosexuality is an abomination to God. While sin is sin, and any sin has its judgement, some sins have greater judgments than others.
The reason homosexuality is in the forefront today is simple: Satan is maximizing his efforts to bring God's judgment hot & heavy..... & it will be.
What other sin brought God's full destructive judgment? I don't know of any other.

It was not homosexuality. It was going after strange flesh. Men have no strange flesh. The kids went out too, the whole city, they wanted to group rape the angels.
Now this was the sin of your sister Sodom: She and her daughters were arrogant, overfed and unconcerned; they did not help the poor and needy.

I think because they were angels and Jude says in the same way as before the flood when angels came to women that that is meant with strange flesh, otherwise it would just say unnatural I think like in Romans.

He wanted to destroy all the Israelites with the golden calf and He wanted to destroy Nineve, but they repented. No idea what their sins were.

People doesn't know yet, that Homosexuality are not a choice by some, but then there are some that choose to be, but not all. There's toxins that is in our environment that is causing this ill effects in our society. Even the ones that has chosen that lifestyle has been affected by environmental pollution. Like most women that are in prison has chosen to live like that because their male partner has abandoned them for another while they are incarcerated; and so this has caused them to go off the deep end because of something that is not clicking up stairs. But the ones that are born in that condition has some type of hormonal imbalances going on in them while being developed. God had put more emphasis to them on what they should or should not eat, like Adam and Eve, He told them not to eat from the tree, and which eating from from this tree has caused them to have sexual desires towards one another. And so it is caused by something that we are inhaling or consuming that is causing the sudden increase and which genetic altered foods has becoming more popular on the shelves at the stores.

Note that before that event the Lord appeared to Abraham with two other beings, seen as three "men" who ate the meal under the tree. It's normal for the Bible to reveal angels as appearing to be men. The Lord announced he was going to witness the cause of the cry of great sin, then destroy the city if there were less than 10 righteous people in it (Gen 18). The Lord went along with Abraham's plea, not that the Lord was about to judge on the basis on too few righteous. Great sin had already evidenced itself.
Before the boys and men of Sodom desired the two "men" angels Lot hosted, the sentence against Sodom was already set. Then comes the abomination before God, even against the angels who were in fact the agents of destruction ordered by God, such as with the angels of judgment in Revelation. The sin of the men against them was sufficient evidence of the cause of the cry of sin that went up to the Lord. That then unleashed the immediate actual annihilation of the two cities the next morning, actually the plains they occupied, except the little nearby city Zoar that Lot asked for. Such severity was carried out in other events such as destruction of the city Ai, though the agent for that was the men of Israel.
From the book of Jonah we see that even then it would have been possible to spare the cities had some repentance occurred. Had there been only 10 repenting......Instead of repenting like the Ninevites, the city occupants persisted in their sin, the greatness of it exemplified in gross homosexuality, which resulted in the immediate deaths of all at Lot's door that very evening.
