For a couple of years about 7 years ago I used to think I have to get in touch with Whitney Houston. A Christian woman who is having problems. She needs some good people around her.

Just a few of the "fantasy guys" I wanted to marry when I was growing up:

1. Luke Skywalker.

2. Christopher Reeve.

3. Brandon Lee (the son of Bruce Lee, who was tragically killed on the set of The Crow.)

More recently... Even though I didn't see all the movies, I had a huge crush on Legolas Greenleaf.

Yes, the elf... NOT Orlando Bloom.

Even if I were some Hollywood starlet and Orlando somehow asked me out, I would have to tell him, "I'm sorry, sweetie, but I'd go out with you ONLY if you show up in the contact lenses, blond wig, and elf ears..."

Perhaps I need an intervention. (Elven Aversion Therapy???!!)

Days at work like today - annoying co-workers rattling on about meaningless stuff, the demon-possessed gal in the neighboring department I had to visit again, and my constant putting out of "fires" all day makes me savor quiet moments like these and daydream about my little cabin in the woods with a fire in the wood burning stove and a stock pot of soup simmering happily on top of it.

*sigh* 6 more years. 6 more years. 6 more years.

I have to agree with Molly, though I'm too old for the poor guy, but I could imagine being his big sister.

I know people will stone me for this but I've read that Mr. Radcliffe is a staunch atheist. However, he is one of the most polite, well-mannered, considerate celebrities I've ever seen in the spotlight. Even though I've never seen the Harry Potter movies, I've seen several of his interviews (love the accent!) and he seems to handle his fame a lot better than most any other celebrity out there.

He's also kind, gracious, and thankful to his fans (a lot like Mark Hamill), even when the public becomes rude and overbearing.

Sometimes I think there are a few atheists we Christians could really learn something from (such as how to handle ourselves under pressure and still treat people well.)

I've got a story. So in my first year of college, I was in this program for honors students only. It was about 25 students all in the same classes. Naturally, we grew to know and really like each other. One of these guys was a pure atheist but he was actually really nice and polite.
In speech, our final project was to adopt a family for Christmas and get them all the Christmas gifts they asked for on the list. The catch was that we needed to use our speech skills to get everything for free or donated. It was a really cool project and we definitely got much more than what our family was asking for. Our professor gave us the opportunity to deliver the items in person or to have them dropped off by a faculty member.

My atheist friend right away said he didn't want to go. I asked him why and he told me it was because he didn't feel right about getting credit for it. He also felt it wouldn't make the family feel too good to see a bunch of college kids delivering their Christmas gifts. I guess he meant something like "charity."
That's when I realized how humble he was. He had a Christian trait in him that many Christians (including me) sometimes lack, greatly.
Sometimes we can learn from non-believers for sure. It's always good to keep them as friends because we can influence them just as much as they can influence us (in good ways). Don't let them influence you negatively. LOL
