I've often heard some of the popular elite congratulated for their intelligence.
Sometimes politicians, I've heard it said about the Obamas and the Clintons, or celebrities, I've heard it said about Oprah Winfrey even, but have any of these folks been intelligent enough to see their own belief system, their eternal destiny, or even the facts surrounding the Lord Jesus Christ? I've heard them talk about Him, but it doesn't seem they're smart enough to make their public policy decisions based on Him, or use their public persona to promote the gospel. However......in the following, I too, am guilty......

Some atheists have more compassion than some christians.
Although... look at those people that work so hard to save physical lives and I do nothing. Yeah you're right.

I confess I am sorely lacking in this area as well, so I really can't judge. I've got a huge log in my own eye, and I really don't know what others do behind the scenes, but I'm sure it's more than me.

One other point, though. Doesn't it say that God has chosen the foolish things of this world to confound the wise? I know in my own life, pride goes before a fall, and whenever I think I'm 'something', it's pretty certain somethings going to happen to bring me down to reality and show me what a worm I am.
I just wish I could learn these lessons and have them stick, instead of repeating the same dumb things over and over.

Killing is wrong regardless the intent behind it, even if I was trying to protect someone I could never take a life their lives are not mine to take. Every life is just as valuable and as important as the next yes even the people who lust over kids who tortured and slaughtered ppl for pleasure even those who have killed thousand of innocent lives as long as they are alive and can be reached it will be my life far before theirs. Jesus died for both the good and the bad and only he in the end has the right to decide if they should die and go to the lake of fire.

No one ever knows the future for all we know this person who slaughtered thousands and tortured and raped many innocents may one day become one of God's greatest warriors.

The funny thing I find with the story is that of the "atheist". It seems the atheists were acting out of a very Biblical, or Godly, point of view by wantin the church to do their God assigned job, as posed in the Old and New Testament. Care for the widow, needy, orphans and the like. So we're they really Athiests? Or were they acting on, what the Bible does say, the very laws that God has put on their hearts? That would be metaphysical to the enth degree.
as far as their tactics, well let's just say, we as perishoners are always trying to be of one mind as to not make waves. But God will use who He uses to get His point across. Me personally would just go to another church, but would definitely let them know, loudly, why I was leaving..

I was watching tha American History Channel this morning. I didn't know this.

There was a gang of atheist thugs in New York in the early part of the twentieth century that were attempting to blow up some churches. It was the poor vs the rich.

They saw the pastors, so called, living off of the parishioners while not taking care of the poor. These godless atheists couldn't stomach that injustice. And yet today, the body of Christ has no problem with the same thing.......I'd better stop. Get everybody mad at me again.

I don't advocate blowing up churches. Just shutting them down and put the keys of the kingdom back into the hands of 'we the people.'

I do love stirring the pot don't I? Smile.

This is scary. In my story, the 'atheists regard the cause of the poor but the Christians regard not to know it.' The following is proof.

Do you sit in a den on Sunday morning while the tithing plate is being passed under the noses of even the poor and grandma? They are expected to tithe on their paltry income or find another 'den'! Have you really REGARDED IT and did it REALLY BOTHER you? And if not, why not? I've been guilty of this myself. There is a certain blindness and coldness in churchianity. False religion produces that. Ungratefulness, lacking natural affection, licentiousness, back biting, arrogance, greed, and favoritism leading to cliques.

It wouldn't bother the hypocrite at all for poor grandpa to have to cough up ten percent of his spindly SS check. Doe it bother you??

But it did bother those bad, bad atheists in New York. Definition of hypocrite: one claiming to have Christ yet will not obey Christ. Lacking natural affection, as long as they are pleasing the hireling behind the pulpit. It's called 'kissing up' to the wolf.

The world will know TRUE Christians by their love. John 13:35. And that same lost world will know the hypoctites by their lack of love. You CANNOT fool a watching world. Jesus said we are to be witnesses of His saving grace. We are to point souls to Him that they might be saved. If you cannot allow others to witness for Christ then what good are you doing?

Your attitude and demeanor are such that one cannot see Christ in you. Jesus came to seek and save the lost souls of men.

I remember when Benny Hinn came to Belgium there was a program on tv and an atheist said: people don't be so stupid! Don't give him money! He has a second huge house in France with a swimming pool. I thought: oh there you have the slandering atheist! But later when we were in debt for years because I needed help and there was no help in Holland, we had to go to Canada and these counsellors asked thousands for one week and you had to pay to stay there. Years we were in debt, if my atheist dad hadn't helped me my kids had nothing to eat. I had to have help. I had severe problems. And at least they did something. Others ask insane much money and don't even counsel their own people. They have to pay extra for that. Insane. We do that all for free if someone is mentally ill or has a trauma and needs a lot of prayer and one on one counselling.
Later I got emails from that church if I could give them money as a gift. Are you insane? Those counsellors had a huge income and a few fat big houses and got extra income for counselling people.
Nuts.
A group prayed for Morris Cerullo that God would open his eyes and he dreamt that he said: thanks guys. This could have killed me. One guy on another forum got a job to help the poor in Africa. They ask people donations. He'd get 250000 a year plus an extra big house in Belgium. For the poor in Africa. Really? Do they really think I'd give one cent???

Every one can relate to these tragic tales of men who make merchandise of the church. This does not mean that all pastors are evil and greedy. Some hypocrites are Christians does that mean that all Christians are hypocrites?

Scripture teaches that we are to be as harmless as doves and as wise as serpents.

Ro 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

Unity is in the word of God.
