The Lord is our strength, amen! Such good truths to meditate on!

"The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower." Psa 18:2

"The
Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" Psa 27:1

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him." Psa 28:7

I admire your stand against wickedness my friend!

God will not accept Adulteres and all into heaven it is written

God will throw people that are fearful into the lake of fire, so in some people's mind if a Christian has fear then they should will be thrown into the lake of fire with those adulterers. Our understanding of salvation in Christ alone gets screwy when we do not factor in the finished work of Christ.

Revelation 21:8 (KJV)
[SUP]8 [/SUP] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

The fear of the Lord for us Christians is an awe and reverence for our Father. He is mighty to save through our Lord Jesus Christ.

The more we understand the true fear of the Lord now that we are in Christ - then the other fear ( dread - that unbelievers will experience ) gets moved out of our minds.

As we see the love that our God has for us - fear ( dread ) goes away because it involves punishment. Be conscious of His love for you.

This below is how we abide in Christ and how we dispel the wrong kind of fear out of our lives.

1 John 4:15-19 (NASB)
[SUP]15 [/SUP] Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

[SUP]16 [/SUP] We have come to know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and the one who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.

[SUP]17 [/SUP] By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, so also are we in this world.

[SUP]18 [/SUP] There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

[SUP]19 [/SUP] We love, because He first loved us.

Well i dunno bout the english versions but here we use ''awe'' as the fearish respect christians usually (at least i my opinion) should have towards the father.
Thats why I say healthy fear because I am not scared of God as sticking me with a lightning when i do something wrong but I just know he wont take mocking, hes higher than me so its kinda a base of a mix of respect and fear

Psalm 111:10

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it have a good understanding. His praise endures forever!

amen sis,

I pray we understand the difference between a fear caused by reverence and awe, and a fear based on not being good enough, That's what the law gave us, Because we could not follow it according to Gods standard.

That's where the cross, and the rest of God comes in. As he said, come to me and I will give you rest.

That would count King David, Abraham, and most all men, out of heaven then (remember, Jesus said if you look, you have sinned)

As paul said to the Corinthian church

1 Corinthians 6:11
And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.

David kept repenting and humbling though (even if his wise of dancing and running around naked is prob. a understatement) but he did it

I forgot. They lie about others and what they believe and have to deny they believe or teach the things they do. Here we have proof.

People like me has never hated the term a sinner saved by grace. All you do is continually prove you have utterly no idea what people like me believe.

So do us a favor please. Stop trying, it is obvious after weeks of debate, you have no desire to try to figure out what we believe.
EG though I agree you do not mind the phrase sinner saved by grace, some from your group did say they objected to this term. Now you are very quick to call people liars rather than taking this observation for what it is.

But your intention is just to attack and undermine another individual. I do understand what you believe and realise your language appears different from grace7x77. You are not wof or health and wealth though others in your group are.

You also love statements like "utterly no idea" which is just another attempt at provocation. It is obvious that there are two camps here and people are polarising around these positions. But honestly it is only you who desire this polarisation, when in fact it is you who desperately want to deny faith to people like me, rather than accepting we both follow the same Lord.

But that would be a denial of the animosity you have about your previous position and those you met there over the years.

Thank you for educating me about how oddly twisted you are, making enemies of friends. It makes me wonder who you take as your friends as you cannot tell who is walking by grace and love and who is not.

lol after this verse yes. but it doesnt say what kind of fear though does it?
It's the Greek word for fear, timid cowardly. It's the exact same word as Jesus used to His disciples when the storm came in the boat.

Matthew 8:26 (NASB)
[SUP]26 [/SUP] He *said to them, "Why are you afraid, you men of little faith?" Then He got up and rebuked the winds and the sea, and it became perfectly calm.

So, if we do not factor in the salvation that is in Christ. All timid or afraid people will be thrown in the Lake of fire. They are no different then an adulterer. These are all
"classes" of unbelievers in Rev 21:9. IOW - these are "identities" of unbelievers - not necessarily behaviors.

I know that when you look in to the real gospel of the grace of Christ you will find something so wonderful that is in us because we are in Christ now and that the believer is secure and it is not based on behavior as has been taught in some religious circles. If we teach the true grace of Christ that is in the gospel - that grace will teach us to live godly in this present world.

Still he kept humbleing himself full heartedly....
All of Gods children would do this. Only those who do not know God would continue and not feel any kind of humility.. It is their new nature.

I think this idea about the fearful is those who out of fear compromise morality and righteousness, for the sake of having an easy life. Society is completely fluid if the biggest bully can push everyone around. Part of following Jesus is saying principles, faith and love matter, and if it comes to it, death is a better option than compromising.

Many a testimony has been given of christians taken by muslims who are asked death or conversion?
Jesus is very plain about these kinds of principles.

It makes me wonder how some believers here feel about their loyalties to the Lord.
