Ezekiel 31

3‘Behold, Assyria was a cedar in Lebanon
With beautiful branches and forest shade,
And very high,
And its top was among the clouds.

4‘The waters made it grow, the deep made it high.
With its rivers it continually extended all around its planting place,
And sent out its channels to all the trees of the field.

5‘Therefore its height was loftier than all the trees of the field
And its boughs became many and its branches long
Because of many waters as it spread them out.

6‘All the birds of the heavens nested in its boughs,
And under its branches all the beasts of the field gave birth,
And all great nations lived under its shade.

7‘So it was beautiful in its greatness, in the length of its branches;
For its roots extended to many waters.

8‘The cedars in God’s garden could not match it;
The cypresses could not compare with its boughs,
And the plane trees could not match its branches.
No tree in God’s garden could compare with it in its beauty.

9‘I made it beautiful with the multitude of its branches,
And all the trees of Eden, which were in the garden of God, were jealous of it.

Interesting...

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwww.... I sure hope so.. I miss having a cat. So far, this year really sucks for me. :( It's really gonna suck if I have to spend the rest of the year, and all the holidays alone.

LOL.. No more alcohol names.. I'm gonna have to wait until I see what Samantha has for kittens. If she has two orange ones, I'm getting them. Or if she has one orange and one black one, then I'll get that combo. If there are no orange OR black ones in the bunch, then I'll get a gray tabby. IF she ever has them, that is. :/
I had the name "Tanqueray" picked out for your new kitten, but go ahead and scratch that.

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
– Colossians 3:12-13 (NIV)

Paul’s admonition to the Colossian believers is a call back to the gospel. One of the true tests of a believer is how they respond when faced with the pain of offense. If our identity is in the love that the Father showers upon us, then we are able to reflect the nature of the Holy Spirit to others. This is not a display of our benevolence, but an exercise in our personal awareness of our daily need for Jesus. To hold grudges against each other shows that we have forgotten our own need for mercy.

Haha! I'm glad you enjoyed it, sister. I'm a big fan of the original Queen song, so it's great to see an Exodus parody of it.

Took my motorcycle out this morning, as I usually do ... went for a coffee on a terrace as I usually do ...

but today as I waited for my coffee, an older gentleman, who was also in line, turned and asked me how I found the courage to drive in traffic with it ... aren't you afraid? He asked.

Wish I could say I had my mind on things above at that moment ... but honestly, sadly, I didn't ... so I said something like ...I drive very carefully and defensively.

Later, on my way home I realized that if I had had my mind on things above I would have said "God watches over me - I trust in Him".

Then I realized that both statements work together. I do not drive carelessly and haphazardly, breaking all the laws because I trust in God. That would be to test Him, and even Jesus refused to test God.
(LUKE 4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.")

We should always walk with care AND trust in God.

Some say that God does all the driving ... we play no part in it ... It really doesn't seem that way to me. To me it seems more like a joint venture.

Also ... if I had been pulling my weight in the joint venture ... and had my mind on things above, as I am commanded, I would have surely given witness of God to the gentleman -

Alas, I surely gave up a blessing ... because I was being careless in the things of God. :(

Don't be too hard on yourself.

Your honesty here blesses us...

...and allows us to learn, so that we may walk more closely with God in our own walks.

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. (Philippians 2:3 NLT)

Even though most here are probably quite aware that the word is alive for Christians I thought it good to encourage those who perhaps have not yet discovered this blessing ...

Even though I have read the bible several times from front to back ... and some portions, like Genesis, many more times than that ... God continues to teach me new things with the same words each time.

The word is like the ocean ... vast and deep ... we will always find new creatures in it :)

Keep reading the Bible!!! :)

How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey. (Psalm 119:103 NLT)
