Took my motorcycle out this morning, as I usually do ... went for a coffee on a terrace as I usually do ...
but today as I waited for my coffee, an older gentleman, who was also in line, turned and asked me how I found the courage to drive in traffic with it ... aren't you afraid? He asked.
Wish I could say I had my mind on things above at that moment ... but honestly, sadly, I didn't ... so I said something like ...I drive very carefully and defensively.
Later, on my way home I realized that if I had had my mind on things above I would have said "God watches over me - I trust in Him".
Then I realized that both statements work together. I do not drive carelessly and haphazardly, breaking all the laws because I trust in God. That would be to test Him, and even Jesus refused to test God. (LUKE 4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.")
We should always walk with care AND trust in God.
Some say that God does all the driving ... we play no part in it ... It really doesn't seem that way to me. To me it seems more like a joint venture.
