I was just watching Neil Degrasse Tyson on that series Cosmos basically preaching his faith of naturalism to the world. It was quite a spectacle, Flying around the Universe on his little space ship, looking out at the cosmos with all these intense special effects. Looks like a lot of fact mixed with fiction imo, I don't care what people want to believe, just wish they realized a lot of this stuff is faith based. There's an assumption that unbelieving scientists don't have faith, they are these pure and noble fact finding intellects with no bias what so ever, It's alarming.
 
My apologies to any sore toes I might have stepped on this past Friday.

I hate seeing brothers and sisters arguing and name-calling.

Sometimes, stepping into an argument makes it worse rather than better.

I've got no hard-feelings or reservations concerning anyone on CC.

I'm going to work harder to make sure my words to others are kind.
 
God created the sciences to create in the physical world in my view.

to say it wasn't so a person had to ask the source and what was that answer from God?

47.2 And whom they believed and they did the righteous deeds, and they believed on account of that which was sent down according to (the) Praised One, and He, The Truth, from their Lord, to forgive them of their evil, thou pay, and He did that which was good, right, or just (in) their heart.


We are told these startling things regarding 'Muhammad' in 47.2:

  • The righteous believe on what was sent down by 'Muhammad'
  • 'Muhammad' is called 'The Truth' (alhaqqu) – which ONLY applies to Jesus Christ in the Koran, and also in the NT
  • 'Muhammad' forgives the righteous of their evil
  • 'Muhammad' knows the heart of the righteous


So...

Who fits the profile of the Koranic 'Muhammad'….?

The Biblical Jesus Christ.

Isn't this line of thought similar to the line of thought which says that Ra (the Egyptian sun god) is a predecessor to Christ?

What is the purpose of becoming an apologist for ideas which are not in the Scriptures, or not of Christ?

At first, I thought this was a minor point which was going to unfold into something bigger and perhaps deeper--but, Bowman, I now have to step on the other side of the fence... with those whom I was opposing, on Friday... and say: What are you doing, man? What's the point in all this?

How does it tie into the OP? How does this point people to Christ?

I think it's a great comparison. the bom talks about Jesus, but I've heard it's a Jesus who is a brother of Satan... the biblical Jesus is the incarnation of the one true God, but in the gita, Arjuna's chariot driver is an incarnation of krishna.

I think the biblical Jesus has some essential characteristics that I'd be surprised if they were found in the koran... though, I haven't read it, so they may be there.

does the koranic Jesus die for our sins according to the scriptures (the old testament, I assume)?

The purpose in showing that the Koranic Muhammad is, in fact, an epithet for the Biblical Jesus Christ, is in response to numerous requests to do so, from members within this thread, initiated by Magenta.

She and Billy asked for detailed reasoning....and they are getting that.

People should be careful of what they ask for....they just might not like the answer...

You would think that Christians would be overjoyed to learn that extra-Biblical writings of other faiths proclaim that Jesus Christ is our God and Savior....but, many are offended by this - and prefer to buy into the Islamic lie that they are accustomed to...

Also, bowwman has again lied. He earlier said Jesus and muhammud were the same, and he could back it up with scripture. Magenta asked him repeatedly to do so, and he never did, but instead tries to go to extra-biblical sources, and a book inspired by demonic doctrines, the korran, to try to prove his lies.

When are ppl going to realize the deceptive bs going here.
This person is not interested in proclaiming the truth and good news of THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, but to try to bring Him down to the gutter level of the false prophet muhammud and the demon god allah.

Their thrust is to infiltrate as many areas as they can, and christian chat sites are under target, in an attempt to get you discussing their false religion, which is what's going on in this thread.

They want to get you used to seeing arabic writing and hearing the names of their demons mentioned, to soften and compromise you. Eventually they get some otherwise level-headed christians defending THEM, and being at odds with their brothers and sisters in Christ.

This is very insideous and deceptive, and I can't believe some of you are falling for it.
You really need to put on the full armor, and stop playing patty-cakes with the enemy.

Exactly what I asked him to do. Prove Muhammad and allah FROM the Bible, and he cannot do so. He claims the "Koranic Muhammad" but he still can't prove it from the Bible. So I will follow the Scriptures and reject his assertions! The witness of God is greater than man.

And you made a claim about her that wasn't true, but since you BOWman to a false prophet, I don't expect any truth to come from you, and I see you're now spewing more muslum garbage on another thread. You might have some ppl fooled here, but not everyone. Some of us see right through your doctrines of devils.

thanks. i was certainly ignorant of that, and without your explanation later, would not have understood what you meant.

i do get the sense - also from an admitted standpoint of ignorance - that just like we have many 'Christians' who hold doctrines that don't line up with the Bible, there are many in Islam who hold positions that aren't supported by their Koran. i've read it, but only once, and in English. you've read it more -- do you think that's correct?

When the Koran repeatedly informs the reader that it merely copied previous Biblical material....well, then, all you have to do is follow the lead...

There's this film series out there called "Zeitgeist" -- among many other outrageous tin-hat ideas, it attempts to show similarities between religions, I presume, as an attempt to debunk religion altogether and lump it in with similar government or societal conspiracy theories.

Found a link, here, if you're interested in knowing what I'm talking about. I'm not promoting this nonsense-just simply making the statement that if Bowman does not conclude soon--he risks being lumped in with those [conspiracy theories] who would say that the idea of Jesus Christ was stolen from the Egyptian Ra (or Horus, or w/e)
