Amen sis, to take it even further, Not only did God shut him in after he entered, I doubt noah could have changed his mind to open the ark door and leave once he got it. Noah was sealed until Gods wrath was completed. Then he was let out, to continue to do Gods work
Eph 4:30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

The next time we will be brought into a new heaven and a new earth made without sin. Noah will be there to rejoice with us and glorify God.

How long does it take to get drunk off a newly planted vineyard?

(I imagine lots more took place.)
Yes, I hear you ... at least a year or two. It just goes to show that we all fall short at times and need God for salvation.

PS, John 146 ... Ham looked on Noah's nakedness and mocked him ... his two brothers, being wiser, walked in backwards and covered him up. Be like Shem and Japheth ... not like Ham.

"For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief." Pro 24:16

"Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the
Lord upholdeth him with his hand." Psa 37:24

Even a saint who falls, the Lord upholds him! The saints are preserved forever:

"For the
Lord
loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off." Psa 37:28

A wise lesson for me to bear in mind while conversing with others on CC!

Good reminder.

You will soon learn that there are some here that want to "bait" you and thus foul the threads...but we have marked them and we are avoiding them and just keeping to giving out scripture to combat "their" own self-righteousness so that any young viewers of the thread will not have their faith destroyed by them.

Romans 16:17-18 (KJV)
[SUP]17 [/SUP]
Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.

[SUP]18 [/SUP] For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

Arigirl——-I have trouble wading thru dozens of disconnected biblical quotes, each one frequently can be interpreted differently, I'm 83, a simple man, with a simple plan of reading the Bible. I try to put the phrase into my own words form my frme of reference, study and experience.

I frown on "gotcha games, back atcha, can you top this one? "

But any way, I think you summed up your topic in the last sentence——see how easy…"…faith without good
works is dead." sometimes referred to as "lifeless faith," a faith without charity (2nd Great Commandmet).

It's not a issue of what causes or earns salvation (how many times will we have to keep repeating this?), but of walking in salvation. A Christian that doesn't walk is dead.
Are they dead before GOD because of the way they walk or,are they dead before GOD because GOD already knew they were not true?

good point,

Scripture says The lord Knows who are his.

And again, The Lord said, Depart from me, for I never new you.

The Lord knows who are His by the Holy Spirit He gave them at the very moment of believing the gospel of Jesus Christ. The believer is to go on to good works prepared for them, but sometimes circumstances causes them to remain babes in Christ, carnal Christians, more focused on the world than on their Savior.

They're dead because they choose to walk after the flesh.
They are dead because they never came to the Light.

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

You do not find believers walking in darkness only unbelievers.

Demonstrate where that is defined in scripture.
Romans 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.

Here are some more.

John 1:13 (KJV)
[SUP]13 [/SUP] Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

John 6:63 (NASB)
[SUP]63 [/SUP] "It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

Romans 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
But OTN said that self-will is evil. Here Paul said that he willed to do good (but couldn't because of the infirmity of his flesh) , so that contradicts what OTN said.

Are you saying that hating a brother will cause you to lose your salvation?
That's dodging the question. You said that believers are not found walking in darkness. The bible says if a believer hates another brother he is walking in darkness. So my question was, is a believer not able to hate another brother. If the answer is no, then believers can walk in darkness.

That may be your understanding but to hate a brother you would need to be a legalist.

Hating a brother entails wanting to murder that brother from a biblical perspective. So do you want to kill a brother that disagrees with you? If so you may not be saved in the first place.

So answer the question.
