Every continent is sinking? And for what reason? And into where? Pretty illogical idea. You need to provide more substance.

Great for you. Too bad that still doesn't answer my questions. Now I see two people with a theory but no information or substance.

While science & govts claim global warming is making water rise..... 1. It hasn't been proven yet. 2. God Himself could be making it happen if it is proven, for in Noah's flood, the scriptures say the water came UP from the deep as well as down from the sky.

It makes no difference either way if it's true, for the public won't change their habits with pollution, & nobody can stop God.

I was trying to employ some tongue-in-cheek humor.

The problem I have with the rising water theory (and maybe I don't know what I'm talking about) is that ice is, after all, water. Water has the same volume as ice - it's just frozen water with trapped air. So, water volume is what water volume is. Even if all the ice in the world melts, it will still be the same level because the water isn't increasing. If you dont't believe me try an experiment. Just fill a glass half full of ice and fill the rest with water until it's at the very top. So that one more drop would overflow. Then put something under the glass to show if water is leaking out, like a paper towel. Then wait till all the ice melts. It won't overflow - I promise.

When water (in the form of ice) ON LAND melts ... the waters rise- part of the ice IS on land, and it is decreasing
...so the idea about rising waters isn't that strange

that being said, I think it will happen regardless of pollution, which is the modern popular culprit
there are other things to worry about. Like us destroying rainforests, polluting drinking water etc etc

we should just pull the plug if it gets too high...centrifugal force will take care of the rest and the earth might have a vapor trail as it hurtles through space

yes I like sci-fi...:p

Hi Ugly,

I didn't propose a theory, I was just posing a thought for conversation. We read about the climate heating up and soon cities will be under water. I have considered sending them pictures of giant flying saucers going under the water and asking them if they have considered this as a reason for rising waters, but they couldnt carbon tax us for that, so it would never be considered anyway.

more seriously Ugly, It seems that the land mass at one time was a one continent land mass that drifted apart into what we have now. Wouldn't one assume that as the land mass spreads apart that it would continually get more shallow as it spread apart?

humbly...allan

Hi over the chill, lol,
thanks for your response. I just couldn't see a small amount of ice melting and all the oceans rise to alarming rates??? doesn't make any sense to me.Even tho the ice is way above the water level, it is still displacing the water underneath it.

At the early onset of the global warming hoax, I remember reading that at the alarming rate the polar ice caps were melting, the level of the ocean at the east coast would rise by 1 or two inches within a hundred years, or some such..... we were all gonna DIE!!

I was thinking....hmmmm, we have a hundred years to increase the height of the seawalls by a couple of inches... I think we'll be ok...

Or, just elevate the sidewalks a couple of inches..

Disaster is only centuries away....

I also heard a theory, there is no such thing as gravity.... the earth sucks.....

I have my doubts about that one..

Ever get that "sinking feeling"?
