How anyone can read the New Testament epistles and not see the absolute and often harsh way that sexual issues are dealt with.. is beyond me and makes me wonder how well some folks on this forum actually knows New Testament scripture? Seems some folks have cherry picked about three scriptures from the NT that they use to justify any behavior while ignoring what was really written and intended to be taught in the church in the epistles.

Ok I'm not guilty .. I have kept myself pure for many years now.. I have the right in your understanding to speak about this issue? Not that I'm asking permission..just showing you folks have no understanding of biblical correction

We can judge all sin even if we sin ourself, but there's 2 types of judging: this person is living in fornication as a christian and does not listen, so not welcome in church. I didn't go to church when I lived in sin. I felt bad for the guy who just laid hands on me and didn't want to infect him. But that we may not judge or we will be judged means judging a person. I don't judge the people that left church and live in fornication. Not everyone has the gift of Paul and if you want a man in Holland you can go fornicate, there are almost none who court and wait til marriage, so I understand those girls and pray God brings them back. They know the truth. When they visit church they hear it again. Not preaching against it in church is sin, but judging them and bombarding them with texts doesn't bring them back.
 
If the treatment of people in LGBT lifestyle is to focus on their sin, no matter how right it is it doesn't change anything. If it doesn't change anything, than the purpose of focusing on their sin is probably not about helping them, but about protecting ourselves and distancing ourselves from them.

People overcome by focusing on God and his goodness, not on themselves and their badness. So if we can't help them focus on God then we do not know enough to help them and need to focus more on God ourselves, until God gives us love for them.

Loveless truth is not from God, but from religious spirits. If we are in touch with God's heart then we know how to speak a truth to someone that brings them into God's love. God's love is a greater truth. If we don't know how to step into their situation and see God's heart from there, how can we say we would overcome that sin if we were tempted by it? If not, how can we have authority to talk about it... especially if without God's heart, nothing we say has the power to change anything? In that case our words become a result of disconnection from God, just like their choices.

I think there is actually some truth to that first statement. I know you were being sarcastic but it is the sin that we are to hate and not the person. Sometimes I KNOW FOR A FACT that we hate the person along with with their vile sins. That is where we all need help. But also sometimes, to a blinded sinner, anything we say no matter how we say it> it is hate.
We need only matter what our school master says!
Idk, Ive seen both attitudes and both are not acceptable to Christ. We do not tolerate sin because according to God one of the marks that we are his is that we hate sin. BUT, look at what Christ told the church of Ephesus. They were the LOVELESS church!

"To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: The One who holds the seven stars in His right hand, the One who walks among the seven golden lampstands, says this: 2I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false; 3and you have perseverance and have endured for My name's sake, and have not grown weary4But I have this against you, that you have left your first love. 5'Therefore remember from where you have fallen, and repent and do the deeds you did at first; or else I am coming to you and will remove your lampstand out of its place-- unless you repent.…

For real though--is this entire thread based on one instance? You seem to speak as if many are guilty of stating that "gay is okay" and supporting being "gay and Christian"--I haven't seen it at all.

I can understand a person who is IN CHRIST struggling with the sin of homosexuality but I just cannot agree when a person says they are a gay christian. That there is a lie from the pit of hell. A homosexual tendencies( was that PC enough :) ) who is truly IN CHRIST would not use the same "identity term" as when he/she was a lost sinner. Walking in faith is saying it out loud in faith that God is going to deliver from that sin and to not act on that sin as well.. Hope this makes sense.
If it doesnt, Im still on my first cup of coffee. That is my excuse:p

So was God loveless when He made these rules..are those who tell others about the destruction that comes with the gay lifestyle also loveless .. when God even killed people in the New Testament church for lying and perverting His Church.was He loveless?...some of you on this forum have very little understanding of terms you use..such as love..

Just show me Jesus doing something, and I will actually entertain your ideas. Otherwise, I have to try to emulate Jesus. (That's kind of what claiming to be a Christian [follower of Christ] is, to me... not finding some verse that I feel justifies me trying to replace The Holy Spirit.)

Well you are right...and it's absurd and destructive what seem to be trying to promote on this forum... all believers are called to present our bodies to the Lord in holiness and they are no escape clauses for certain groups that have made their perversion a PC issue...

No they're not all loveless. One guy thought I was a lesbian. My goodness what a hateful bigot, so I thought. But he was genuine. He warned his homosexual friend and he accepted Christ and repented before he died. He really loved him.

What of compassion and empathy? Perhaps this is what folks mean when they say they don't see "love" in the pointing at other's sins.

"Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous;" (1 Pet 3:8)

"When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd." (Matthew 9:36)

"For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin." (Hebrews 4:15)

Well do you rejected the epistles as His Word and His Will...was Jesus not the one who empowered the apostles to fulfill His Will...was it not Jesus who killed false christians in the New Testament Church...have you read the book of revelation and the Jesus that is coming in His judgment and anger?

I think it makes christians firing mad because the gay agenda is in our face all the time. Our own president broadcasts gay rights with his flag in lights on the whitehouse. Talk about allegiance. smh....

Well what folks who don't understand "love" in a true biblical and spiritual way..call love...is part of the point of this thread .. some spout off terms such as mercy and love and have little or no understanding of what these terms include in the mind of God . Mercy was never intended to lead people into lies and death...but to life and the truth... and the truth is in holiness for all believers
