Did I mention YOUR name? NOPE. Wasn't even referring to you, btw.. You call anyone who disagrees with your views, bigots, haters and racists. You have a special hatred for gay people. IMO you only started this thread to once again condemn gays and bash them for their lifestyle. Guess what, they are sinners!! And so are you, so am I, so is everyone here.
I know right...I find this post humorous coming from the most hateful and bigoted person on cc

The thing is that most adult people already know what they are doing wrong and feel guilty or ashamed of it and you can't tell me that being a Bible Thumper and going all Hell Fire and Brimstone on them is going to magically make them want to bow down to Jesus. It is a mighty big yardstick you are carrying to measure these folks up to and just remember that the yardstick you use to do the measuring is going to be the same yardstick the Lord will use to measure you.

So have each of us achieved perfection and all of our sins are never being committed anymore... I think there is a reason Jesus said get the beam out of your own eye before you go to get the speck of dust out of your brother's eye.

Our job is to spread the gospel which is of love as shown in the great sacrifice Jesus made on the cross to pay for all of our horrible sins that put Him there in the first place... Yes, our sins put Him there.... I personally don't feel qualified to point out someone else's sins when I have not gotten complete control of my own as Holy Spirit is still working on me and I don't state that I have reached perfection yet. Therefore, this Blond is not qualified to Judge someone else....

Again I state and believe that most adults already know if they are doing something wrong and don't need me to point it out to them....Most adults know about and with as many Bibles as have been sold I would estimate a great many adults are aware of the 10 Commandments either by reading them themselves or being told them by someone....

My job is to Love the Lord my God with all my heart, and my neighbor as myself.... to treat others as you would want to be treated, to lead them to Jesus through the gospel of love showing them the sacrifice He made to free them from sin and guilt and it is the Holy Spirits job to convict and convince them of sin and He is also qualified to help them resist said sins that tempt them....

I'm glad so many have achieved perfection and feel that it is their job and right to judge others and tell them what not to do... I'd rather show them Jesus and let the Holy Spirit tell them what to do....Just my Blond opinion....

Again, the Holy Spirit should be our guiding force in this as per the individual. Once we start to go formula, or in our own experiences, we lost the anointing.
But yeah, to generalize, fire and brimstone will not be received well by most non Christians. But we don't know them, God does. There may be a time when God might tell us to go that route.
Fire and brimstone doesn't even go over to well with the modern church in America, which I think is more of a sad commentary then not.

No everyone can judge in that way, got questions explained the difference between right and wrong judging. If I say: don't judge, I mean don't judge someone's heart, not that you may not say that it's sin or that the person lives in sin, just not harsh and unforgiving and it may even be meant well and come from a good heart, but the guy that spoke to me who thought I was a lesbian, I thought he was a hateful bigot the way he spoke, but he was not. If I thought that, a gay or lesbian may think that too. He could change his approach and talk less harsh.
I think in general its fair to say don't be harsh..but often it takes harsh and firm truth to move folks..Jesus was harsh..the Apostles was harsh at times ..when it was needed ...as id any true man or woman of God when the time comes to be so.

something to think about....what if Jesus has been preparing a persons heart for an encounter with a Christian? What if said Christian screws it all up by being harsh or letting their pride get in the way? What if you could have been the first person to ever really listen to someone but all you do is talk over them? What if someone is dying to get something out but they don't trust you enough to tell you? There are so many variables that we can't possibly know. That is why I think it best to let Jesus steer the conversation and for me to shut my mouth.
What if Jesus needed someone to tell them the truth and instead someone told them half-truths because they didn't understand the way the kingdom of God works ... "save some with fear" a person convinced that open rebellion against the standards of God..is not going to be moved to repentance by this PC gospel.

That is the way of Islam. Filthy. Christians speak the truth in love, but don't guilt or wear and hammer people down or speak in a condemning or condescending manner.
You can only speak that way to other Christians who uphold holiness ..right?

Then you should easily be able to post at least a couple of dozen links here, with hardly any effort at all. Get these "naysayers" off your back right now.
Any honest person that has been on this forum..knows what I'm saying is true ..why waste time with folks that make up their own truth?

I think I do understand. The place where I am coming from is that I was brought up under harsh judgment and rejection if I didn't perform in some fashion. If judgment comes across as rejection it can be incredibly destructive to a persons soul. We have to allow room for people to make mistakes.....imo. That said, I think there are many ways to share the gospel and not everyone receives things the same way. I guess I prefer the word discernment over judgement. The word judge or judgement is reserved for Jesus I think.
Ok ..again fair...but the time has clearly come to challenge the gay agenda being promoted in the so-called "church" ..and I personally think its time to make a point on this forum about this issue ...

I always thought all sin was equal in Gods eyes, but I am not so sure anymore. Jesus said of the person that knew Him but then denied Him that it would have been better if he had never known Him in the first place.
Jesus said in another place about those who hurt the little ones and a millstone around their neck and thrown into the water. I don't see Him saying that anywhere else. BTW, that does not bode well for those who continually perform abortions.
The bible has many instances where God seems to act quicker regarding those that profane His glory or name then in other instances of sin. Idol worship seems to be anther one that is singled out.
I said seems to because we can't be sure, but it looks that way.
Ita amazes me that folks don't know the scriptures as it relates to believers ..it is written that every sin that a man commits is out side the body ...but sexual sins are sins against ones own body...and the Holy Spirit will destroy a believer who defiles the Temple of God with sexual sins....In fact the only "holiness" requirement that God gives us as New Testament believers...is to keep ourselves from fornication... The ONE thing God commands believers to do in holiness ..and many folks seem to reject that requirment

Yes indeed. Jesus tended to mirror the same tone as was dished out to him. Its a good rule of thumb.

Have you read the bible?
Read a part of it everyday with hubby and when done reading it through do it all over again...The Bible to me is the never ending story as I learn something new every time I read it and am amazed as I will say to myself - I have read this book more than once...How did I miss that? Everyday a portion and even pray that Holy Spirit will help me apply it to my life, sometimes it is hard to show love to people... You know what I mean?

If all I did was preach the gospel people would complain about me to their up the chain people and soon I'd be standing in a bread line. God calls me to be righteous, not stupid. The other times I'm not working I'm either hanging with my son being a dad or I'm working to make up for the time I lost at work being a dad..... so I don't have a lot of extra time for spreading the gospel. I deal in the circle that God gave me. If He expands it, I'll hopefully rise to the challenge.
We are to brighten the corner where we are... We are to let our light so shine that it may glorify our Father in Heaven.

My Grandpas brother left tracts everywhere he went for virtually his entire life. He was the sweetest guy. It was hard to fathom that he had the same genes as grandpa...who could be a pretty mean guy. The music store where a good friend has worked for years hands them out. I know what you're saying....I guess it's not my thing...idk. I think you are a brave guy and having the courage to just go up to people and share the gospel is pretty awesome. I'm more of the type who is genuinely interested in peoples personal stories and I tend to go that route.... as well as I don't do the "cold calls" well...lol.
Im not brave bro Im just willing! There are times when the enemy tries to lie to me and shoot a fiery dart of fear and I resist him as scripture tells me too. If God is leading, nothing but good will come of it. Your son can be your wingman and he will benefit greatly from it. So will you! The message of the gospel is not heard by more people than most think. God just needs more to be willing to do it. I encourage you to try it. :) Its an amazing feeling knowing that God has orchestrated the whole thing and I am just one of the willing servants who walked in faith.
