What is your favorit saying? Is there a saying that your grandma used a lot? Or a funny one that you heard or read?
Mabe one you heard on tv?Or even on the radio? I'm sure we'd all like to hear it.

Oh there's so many.
Act normal, you act weird enough if you do.
Go pester your mom or go fool your mom, not me (say those to the kids)
Spring is in the air. Why should I? (spring is jump in Dutch)

Patience is a virtue possess it if you can,

It's seldom in a man, but never in a woman!

God put me on this planet to accomplish a certain number of things. Right now I am so far behind, I will never die.

This thread could go on forever. I could post whole pages myself.

"Consider the likely consequences of this course of action!"

"Someone drank my coffee!"

"Hmmm... this has possibilities..."

"That's a logical fallacy." (reserved for the BDF)

So many secular ones, and even more from the bible.

As for the secular, "the first 99 years are the hardest'"

Are you high? Seriously, are you on crack?
This aint Romper Room.
Don't cross your eyes or your face will freeze like that.

But my all-time fave saying would be: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

I now it is a little off topic, but reading LB's post, man do I dislike some cliches. To me it can sometimes show a lack of originality or independent thought. Or laziness.
I have to get this off my chest. Well, I don't have to...

I hear here in VT so much, these that I almost want to SCREAM. But it may be in other ares too.

"Does that make sense to you?"
"Does that work for you?"

And others that I think are all over the country.
someone asks so and so a question, and the answers almost always start with.
Someone asks did you ever go to so and so place, or do so and so thing. "I did". Ugh, shot me now. Can we not have any variation. Something besides those 2 words? Anything? Something like "I have been there", or "I did that?" Something different, please !
or someone asks so and so if they like spinach, or if they like this magazine, and they reply "I do". Are we doing wedding vows 24/7? Is this how people show they are cool and hip?

Or one of the best, that I used for a while, me coming from NYC and the phrase originating there, "it is what it is'"
After a while, I got so sick of hearing that.

Here are mine. The first I made up. The second I didn't but I use it all of the time.

I just slobbered on my Milosevitch (it comes from this guy's name - Slobodan Milošević).

What a load of bollocks!

This isn't really my favorite but I find it kinda funny. You know...a don't-take-life-so-seriously kinda thing.
