Where in the bible does God inform us that the Earth has an axis? Why do you believe Earth has an axis? The earth is tilted on it's axis.

No I have not.

Just pointing out your *belief* in Earth having an axis is not scientific, nor biblical.why do you believe it doesn't? Because of a video you watched on you tube?
Your maths is wrong. Minimum height of an object to be observed over the horizon (on a globe) varies proportional to the distance from the observer squared, not the distance from the observer. Distance to the Horizon CalculatorI still don't know where you're getting your figures from since the curve over that distance would be about 26 ft 8 inches.

Does God say the sun stood still, or the Earth? (-: I believe in the bible - "the sun stood still, and the moon stayed", Joshua 10:13. If you read about the "Airy's failure" experiment or the Michelson Morley experiment, you will find science supports the Earth is still, also. We can also argue about how we define and measure time, if you explain how it is relevant to this thread. In Joshua 10:13 do you believe the sun moves around the earth or the earth around the sun?? i believe the sun is stationary and the solar planets rotate around the sun.
"Either way, the direction in which stars move overhead is based on perspective and the exact direction you’re facing, not which hemisphere you are in."
HYPOTHETICALLY, if you were wrong about this, would that make any difference to you?
It seems to me that when one is looking "up" the rotation of the stars appears clockwise or counter-clockwise. Whether one is facing East, North, West, or South, the stars will rotate in the same direction because one is still looking "up".
Sphere, you are promoting deception. Are you doing it intentionally, or are you really unable to imagine the possibility that you can be mistaken on occasion?
You said you have Genesis on your side and then you follow up with a "scientific" claim. Science and logic disprove you on all accounts. Your only argument is what you imagine the Bible to say.
You have made that claim countless times. Throwing random anecdotes where you think science kind of supports your imagination has no value.
If you were to approach this "scientifically" you would be willing to at least honestly evaluate alternative explanations of the phenomena of the world around you. (This also requires humility to admit the possibility that one might be wrong.)
Please, Sphere, are you willing to consider the possibility that you can be mistaken about how you understand certain Bible passages, or do you consider yourself infallible?
