The only sin that separates man from God is "unbelief".
Yes "unbelief"as in no faith coming from God, as his work that he performs in us. . This is not the same as doubt. Christians can hesitate.
It is a forward generation, the generation of Adam as in natural unconverted men . While Christians are reckoned by the generation of Christ, as new creatures, not reconditioned
Deuteronomy 32:20 And he said, I will hide my face from them, I will see what their end shall be: for they are a very
froward generation, children in whom is “
no faith”.
It involves the faith of God in respect to His belief towards us called the hearing of faith. By it he gives us ears to hear the spiritual words. . It is called a work of faith (believing) as a labor of his unseen love. It describes our faithful Creator, who worked to create things not seen, by that work .Seeing believing without pronouncing the words (the work) it would end of as being dead providing no substance to verify that which God believed would occur.
It is not our faith that we generate towards him, as if it was our selves. Many do not make the distinctions between the things of God towards us, and those of men they offer towards God.One dead the other living.
In Hebrews 6 it shows the results of those who offer their faith towards God as if it was living work coming from themselves. This dead would be in rsspect fleshly ceremonial works to include baptism done with human hands as one of the ceremonial works ... again that they offer towards God.
They are the ones offer dead works( us, towards Him)They are them that crucify the Lord of Glory over and over to public shame as if his one work of faith which freely provides His grace, as the better things that do accompany our salvation.
When people recognize the difference between the things of God and those of sinful men that does offend God, they are called to repent .
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again “the foundation”
of "repentance from
dead works",
and of
faith toward God, Of the doctrine of
baptisms, and of
laying on of hands, and
of resurrection of the dead, and
of eternal judgment. Heb 6:1
