Therefore, when any given Biblical topic is presented to them, they immediately apply that pre-packaged interpretation and they do not adhere to what the scripture says, even though they swear that they are.
Hi Ahwatukee,

yes, I've had the same experience talking to jehovah's witnesses.

I don't deny the trinity. So you put words in my mouth, theres another name for that.....

I've never known you to exegete scripture...and absolutely no one is interested in your off-topic comments.

Another hit-n-run....

Actions speak louder than your words, Dan...
yes, they do. I'm glad that there are many respectful, reasonable users here on cc that I've discussed the scriptures with many times.

The question posed to you, was to show us an exegesis from one of your trusted Greek scholars on the verse.

Then show us one of your trusted scholars' exegesis...
and instead, I referred you to my exegesis of the passage, and the conclusions reached by the vast majority of greek specialists.

if you want to continue with an approach different from the vast majority of scholarship, of course that's up to you.

Peace, Man!

correct and his statement"anyone who will discuss in a respectful fashion.

is it respectful to call him names?

yes, indeed actions speak louder than words... and yours are screaming

"
I am right, I am more educated, I am the one with the proper interpretation, I have the understanding"

reminds me of one who said "I will... I will...I will..I will...I will..."
it's like you read my mind!

So, then the LXX was divinely inspired?

You keep digging your hole deeper...
I didn't say the lxx was divinely inspired.

I said "He was divinely inspired to either translate the passage or quote from the lxx."

once the gospel writer wrote it down, it was then part of inspired scripture.

You cant be serious. Look around in the world today. Does it look like he's bound? Every kind of evil and wickedness going on. Its a shame people prefer to be endtimers more than Christ worshipers.

1. Satan is not bound at the present time. Satan roams the earth (1 Peter 5:8) and has access to heaven during the present Church age…..he is the “accuser of the brethren” (Revelation 12:10).
2. Satan has never been to hell.
3. He (Satan) will be bound in the bottomless pit for the entirety of the Millennium (Revelation 20:1-3). After the 1,000 is over, he will be loosed for “a season” (Revelation 20:7). He will then be defeated in the final battle between himself and God (Gog and Magog) and then cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:8-10)
4. The Church Age is not the Millennial Kingdom. If we are living in the Millennial Kingdom now, and Satan is already bound, then you amillennialists need to explain the reason (from Scripture) for all the evil in this world at the present time. Who is ruling this present kingdom? It certainly isn't Jesus Christ...and definitely NOT the Church saints, who are still mortal and have sin natures!
5. The Millennial Kingdom is a LITERAL 1,000 years of Christ’s reign on this earth, not an undetermined period of time.

Is Satan in hell? Where is Satan?

The power of Satan was broken at the cross of Christ! How much of a leash does God allow Satan...as much as he got with Job? (Job 1:5-12). God is the same in both OT and NT (He [God] is immutable).

1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

James 4:7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

A link to Bible Hub is not an exegesis.

With a worldview such as yours, then there must NOT be a God, either...

No...It already occurred...

And war occurred in Heaven, Michael and his angels making war against the dragon. And the dragon and his angels made war, but they did not have strength, nor yet was place found for them in Heaven. And the great dragon was cast out (aorist, completed action), the old serpent being called devil, and, Satan; he deceiving the whole habitable world, was cast out(aorist, completed action) onto the earth, and his angels were cast out (aorist, completed action) with him.And I heard a great voice saying in Heaven, Now has come the salvation and power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of His Christ, because the accuser of our brothers is thrown down(aorist, completed action), the one accusing them before our God day and night.(Rev 12.7 - 10)

By whom...?

If you take 1K years as literal.....then how long is a 'season'.....?

Jesus' Parable of the wheat and tares, in Mat 13, informs the reader that both demons and the Righteous coexist in Jesus' earthy Kingdom, the one in which He now reigns supreme, and we now live in, as Satan has left the building (he is bound).

How can you miss it...?

Your literal '1K years' has been going on for over 2K years.....

If Satan's power was broken at The Cross, then why do you keep insisting that he is still in control?

Give thanks to God for rendering Satan utterly impotent.

This deceiver and son of Satan. The word is not with Him nor does it back His claims. Satan is not bound until you see Jesus sitting on the throne in Jerusalem. The father said "sit at my right hand till I make your enemies your foot stool. Has that happened yet, answer. NO
