Then show me in the bible where a believer who has received already the Holy Spirit again is baptised with the Holy Spirit?

There is one baptism in the Holy Spirit, Matt 3: 11. Acts 1: 4--5. Acts 2: 4. But many fillings, Acts 4: 31. Eph 5: 18. The Greek means, Keep on being filled with the Spirit.
The baptism in the Holy Spirit, is a separate experience to the rebirth, Acts 8: 14--17. Acts 9: 6--17. Acts 19: 2--6.
The Holy Spirit baptises us into the body of Christ, 1 Cor 12: 13. And Jesus baptises us with the Holy Ghost. Matt 3: 11.

People do err by not knowing the scriptures. When you first believe you do not automatically receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit with Fire. You must be born again of the Water AND of the Spirit.

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

John 3:4
Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? 5Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. 6That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.

People take for granted that once they choose to follow Christ they are automatically redeemed by He's blood. The Holy Spirit IS the gift of God which he gives to those who Obey him(Acts 5:32). Many are called, but few are chosen(Matt 22:14).

Acts 5:32

And we are his witnesses of these things; and so is also the Holy Ghost, whom God hath given to them that obey him.

These signs are for all believers (Mark 16:17)
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

There are also more administrations of the Spirit given where it is necessary, but every born again believer has the gift of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance, casting out of demons, and the power available for healing to take place.

If you have not received the fire baptism of the Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance upon receiving it then you are not born again and need to follow what Jesus Christ has said and believe it until you receive it.

What specifically to do ? Repent! and be baptized and walk in the newness of life. Keep the commandments and have the testimony of Jesus Christ(Acts 2:37-39), (Rev 12:17).

Acts 2:37
Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.

The promise is to you and to all that are afar off !

Then show me in the bible where a believer who has received already the Holy Spirit again is baptised with the Holy Spirit?

Why bother if knowledge has passed away since the perfect came?

Well, of course nothing proposed in the New Testament has passed away yet, including the spirit baptism. We learn from scripture that the seal of the Spirit is given each new believer. So even John's disciples who believed the prophet John the Baptist concerning Jesus had that seal. A few decades later Paul encountered a group of them who had not heard of the Holy Spirit, but had John's baptism, the same experience some of the original apostles had before Jesus found them.

Those twelve experienced the baptism of the Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues and prophecy. So there is scriptural proof of two "stages" of Spirit baptism plus water baptism. Water baptism is our outward sign as a testimony to our new faith in Christ, with rejoicing as the sign, like the eunuch evanagelized by Phillip. Jesus then gives us the Spirit as he was, who grows us in faith toward Christ and godliness. At some point the believer that accepts being totally immersed in Christ is for him or her is eligible to be baptized totally into Christ, he in us, us in him, with signs testifying to that experience.

The main cause of the Assemblies of God to be formed was a movement of chiefly Baptists and Methodists recognizing a great revival in the Spirit as a call to separate from the norm, the dull, the dead and slumbering who turned revival away. Tongues and prophecy were the prevailing signs, which helped gather the most dedicated believers in America together in a common cause. Next came a revival of miracles, another sign that follows those

So how can any true believer continue to claim God has taken away gifts he gave? What do we think of someone who takes a gift away from us? I received a radio as a gift as a youth, which when it quyit working I was deeply saddened. In a sense it had passed away. Rather than ceasing anything given to the Church, Peter was inspired to teach us to add to our faith virtue + knowledge (obviously not passed away) + temperance + patience + godliness + kindness + charity (love).

So forever knowledge will still be here until God replaces all with pure love. Meanwhile we are to attain to true expression of love as much as we can experience. The claim that prophecy and tongues has ceased, but not knowledge, doesn't make sense when considering Paul, as a new Christian, received personal guidance through a prophet, warning him of his plans. There remains need of that in our world too, while many Christians are dull of spiritual hearing, needing direct warnings and direction as to day to day plans.

Lastly, while modern folks sometimes reject tongues, prophecy and miracles as valid activities for the Church, Jesus' commission of the Church must not be passed away, lest the Church be already decommissioned. Will some not accept Mark 16: 14Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. ? When and where has that been cancelled?

What you don't understand yet is part of that knowledge to be added to your faith.

There is "one baptism" in the spirit in the sense of a completeness of immersion into a comprehensive multi-faceted experience. The model for that is the Baptism of Moses into the water (sea) and the cloud by day, fire by night. Those were very different experiences with God, all fitting together in one experience, one baptism.

Numbers 16:1Moreover, brethren, I would not that ye should be ignorant, how that all our fathers were under the cloud, and all passed through the sea; 2And were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea; 3And did all eat the same spiritual meat; 4And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness.

Brother, please give me some time to respond.
Makes it not wonder, that between apostolic time and 1900 AD a seperate baptising with the Holy Spirit was not taught?

I object to the use of the phrase "charismatic gifts" The "charismatic gifts" are called "charisma(s)" something like 12 times in the N.T.

If you want to be more literally correct about what to call them, to call them "charisma(s)" would be closer to what the early church Greek speakers would have called them.

Do not neglect your gift[charisma], which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you. -1 Tim 4:14

Do all have gifts[charismas] of healing? Do all speak in tongues? Do all interpret? -1 Cor 12:30

Now there are diversities of gifts[charismas], but the same Spirit. -1 Cor 12:4

The gifts are of the Holy Spirit, and have nothing to do with the charismatic or pentecostal movements. The charismatic and pentecostal movement are generally more accepting of the charisma(s) than other denominations.

Perhaps we should object to the English "Holy Spirit" since the Greek is actually "Pneuma Hagios".

"Gay" used to mean happy. Now it has a different meaning. The term has been hijacked by those with an agenda.

Likewise, "charisma" used to mean spiritual gift. Now 'charismatic" means those who abuse the gifts for the sake of a side show. No longer the same thing.

The gifts are not given to denominations, ergo the use of 'charismatic' by a denomination is incorrect. The Biblical charisma never meant a specific group of people. It meant 'gifts' given to individuals.

Imho, the charismatic and pentecostal 'movements' are directly responsible for many people who now deny the gifts are real.

This is a false doctrine! According this no christian between end of apostolic time and 1900 AD has exist!

That is your personal opinion. The reason you don't believe this is because you have never received it. It is all there in the bible.

Matthew 7:13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Acts 1:8
8But ye shall receivepower, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

John 14:12
. Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greaterworks than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

2 Corinthians 11:4
For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

I think the problem is that people have been given another Jesus and another sugar coated gospel where you love the world and don't keep the commandments. Many are called but few are chosen. If you want the Holy Spirit you need to repent and keep the commandments and follow Jesus. The promise is for all!

I would like to encourage you to be careful of what you say. The gifts are in the Bible and they are real. Like someone else said on here, the confusion comes in because there are many out there just putting on a show and they do not have the real genuine gifts of the Holy Ghost. I'm not saying that you have to have the gifts to be saved. The gifts are given by God to those that seek him and ask for them. There is power in the real thing so please don't speak against things that you don't understand. It is a fearful thing to fall unto the hands of the living God. If I don't understand something I try not to say anything bad about it because I am afraid that I might get in trouble with God. I definitely don't want to be found fighting against the word of God.
Jude 1:10
But these speak evil of those things which they know not: but what they know naturally, as brute beasts, in those things they corrupt themselves.
Acts 5: 38-39
And now I say unto you, Refrain from these men, and let them alone: for if this counsel or this work be of men, it will come to nought:
39But if it be of God, ye cannot overthrow it; lest haply ye be found even to fight against God.

I'm sorry Roger, but when you yourself stand in direct opposition to multiple scriptures, it's hard to take you as a reliable source on scripture.

Not slandering you, just hoping that some day you'll put aside your personal pride and see, by direct side-by-side comparison of God's word to yours, just how at odds you are with it.

Shall I post the list again?

If you do I will instruct you on the proper exegesis of the scriptures. Think you can stand the truth? Boy I'm tempted to tie this to the other thread on seducing spirits but that would create a very volatile situation.

Um.. No that is incorrect. The baptism of the Holy Spirit took place on the day of Pentecost or feast of weeks(Acts 1:4).

Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

Acts 2:1 ¶ And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2 is clearly a filling and not a baptism. The promised baptism of the Holy Spirit was first given to the disciples assembled with the risen Lord Jesus prior to acts 2.

Holy Spirit baptism is only administer by the Lord Jesus and at the moment we receive Him as Savior and are born again unto eternal life.

Just because Jesus breathed the Holy Spirit upon them does not mean they were baptized in the Spirit with fire, which is the Gift of God.

The prophets and other holy men in the old testament did have the holy spirit coming upon them (Numbers 11:24-25), (1 Samuiel 19:20), (Luke 24:32).

Now the Holy Spirit baptism of fire is the gift of God which after we recieve it, we have until the day of redemption (Eph 4:30), by which we are sealed (2 Corinthians 1:22).

In contrast David asked God that he take not the Holy Spirit from him.
Psalm 51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.

There is a difference. The baptism of the Holy Spirit with Fire is the confirmation that you have received Jesus Christ. People receiving Jesus Christ have signs following (Mark 16:17). These are the signs that follow all believers of Christ. The other manifestations of the Spirit is given where it is needed(1 Corinth 12:7).

Acts 1 verse 4 and 5 clearly states that they were first to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit on the day of
Pentecost / feast of weeks. And John 7:39 says the Holy Spirit was not yet given because Jesus was not yet glorified (The baptism promise in this case).

Acts 1:4
Acts 1:4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

John 7:39
. 39(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)

John 14:12
12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greaterworks than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.John 14:12 12Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; andgreaterworks than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. 13And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit
(Joel 2:28-32; John 16:5-16; Acts 2:1-13; Acts 10:44-48; Acts 19:1-7)15If ye love me, keep my commandments.16And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; 17Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.18I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Matthew 3:11 indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire

Acts 2:3-4 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

Acts 2:37
37Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do? 38Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. 39For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call.As you can see there is a clear difference between the spirit coming upon you and the fire baptism of the Holy Spirit which is the gift of God.

Have you received the gifts of the Holy Spirit as described in mark 16:17 ? If not then the promise is to you and whom so ever God shall call (Acts 2:39).

Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
How about Mark 16:18? drinking poison and playing with serpents is not wise.

You are in great error.

For the cause of Christ
