Then show me in the bible where a believer who has received already the Holy Spirit again is baptised with the Holy Spirit?
Why bother if knowledge has passed away since the perfect came?
Well, of course nothing proposed in the New Testament has passed away yet, including the spirit baptism. We learn from scripture that the seal of the Spirit is given each new believer. So even John's disciples who believed the prophet John the Baptist concerning Jesus had that seal. A few decades later Paul encountered a group of them who had not heard of the Holy Spirit, but had John's baptism, the same experience some of the original apostles had before Jesus found them.
Those twelve experienced the baptism of the Spirit with evidence of speaking in tongues and prophecy. So there is scriptural proof of two "stages" of Spirit baptism plus water baptism. Water baptism is our outward sign as a testimony to our new faith in Christ, with rejoicing as the sign, like the eunuch evanagelized by Phillip. Jesus then gives us the Spirit as he was, who grows us in faith toward Christ and godliness. At some point the believer that accepts being totally immersed in Christ is for him or her is eligible to be baptized totally into Christ, he in us, us in him, with signs testifying to that experience.
The main cause of the Assemblies of God to be formed was a movement of chiefly Baptists and Methodists recognizing a great revival in the Spirit as a call to separate from the norm, the dull, the dead and slumbering who turned revival away. Tongues and prophecy were the prevailing signs, which helped gather the most dedicated believers in America together in a common cause. Next came a revival of miracles, another sign that follows those
So how can any true believer continue to claim God has taken away gifts he gave? What do we think of someone who takes a gift away from us? I received a radio as a gift as a youth, which when it quyit working I was deeply saddened. In a sense it had passed away. Rather than ceasing anything given to the Church, Peter was inspired to teach us to add to our faith virtue + knowledge (obviously not passed away) + temperance + patience + godliness + kindness + charity (love).
So forever knowledge will still be here until God replaces all with pure love. Meanwhile we are to attain to true expression of love as much as we can experience. The claim that prophecy and tongues has ceased, but not knowledge, doesn't make sense when considering Paul, as a new Christian, received personal guidance through a prophet, warning him of his plans. There remains need of that in our world too, while many Christians are dull of spiritual hearing, needing direct warnings and direction as to day to day plans.
Lastly, while modern folks sometimes reject tongues, prophecy and miracles as valid activities for the Church, Jesus' commission of the Church must not be passed away, lest the Church be already decommissioned. Will some not accept Mark 16:
14Afterward he appeared unto the eleven as they sat at meat, and upbraided them with their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen. 15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. 16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. 17And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; 18They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. ? When and where has that been cancelled?
What you don't understand yet is part of that knowledge to be added to your faith.
