Started reading To a God Unknown yesterday, finished it today.
Well written.... but I am starting to wonder if Steinbeck was a bit crazy, or if he just liked writing about crazy people :p
 
I finished "The Pursuit of God" by A.W. Tozer now contemplating if I should continue reading "Mere Christianity" (was thinking of reading it later, too much thinking involved xD) or read "The Reason" by Lacey Sturm. Hmmmmm. Decisions, decisions, decisions.

I've read both of the latter books. They're very good, but very different (and yet in some ways quite similar). Here's a little review:

"The Reason: How I Discovered a Life Worth Living" is an autobiography by Lacey Sturm (the ex-lead of the rock/metal band "Flyleaf". Here, Lacey explores the darkness of a life lived without Christ and the restoration of a life lived with Christ. I often didn't relate to the circumstances she described in either respect, but I related to her yearning to be loved and to have meaning and purpose outside of herself. This book really moved me, as I'm still learning Who love is. I may have even shed a few tears towards the end. It's a powerful story and unashamedly Christ-centred.

If you struggle with your identity and purpose, this book is for you. Even if you don't, this is still a great testimony of one girl's journey from Death to Life. I recommend this book to everyone.

Know this truth:
You are loved. You are God's masterpiece. You aren't worthy of His love (either am I or anyone), but you are worth His love. You are worth His love. God's love. The One who is Love. Amen.

Yeah I think I saw it on your GoodReads update. I like the song, "The Reason" and when I found out there's a book from the same singer/author, I wanted to find out more. I think I'll be able to relate more to this one cause I didn't grow up a Christian. Thanks for the recommendation!

I must admit, Mere Christianity takes all of my mental energy, it's so deep so I'm cutting it down to bite sized chunks xD

Haha! Oops. Sorry about that, Abing. Yeah, I love her song too. I think you'll be able to relate more to her journey, both because you didn't grow up a Christian and because you're a woman and I'm not. ;) God bless you in whatever you choose to read!
 
I finally finished reading "Mere Christianity" and it was a little too deep for moi xD But I'm glad I finished it so I can read others that are similar.

I went to read Joel Osteen's "Your Best Life Now" but it's repetitive and gets boring before long. So I'm putting this one on hold.

Currently I'm reading two books: Jack Canfield's "Success Principles" because mom said it was great and I've always wanted to read a Chicken Soup for the Soul book. Sometime soon.

The second book, I started reading today is called "Grace Revolution" by Joseph Prince. And I'm loving it! It's not new but this grace teaching to defeat the lingering legalism within us, is really really liberating. And I love that he's included testimonies from people who went through the things I was going through (and some I'm still going through) it's very timely and I'm thankful.

Must finish these fast, so many testimony books to read!
 
Learn Calligraphy by Margaret Shepherd.
Lamentations..pretty brief, should finish tonight or tomorrow
