No, divorcing Jesus to look at his "finished work" is separating the whole of God to stare at a toe. And then from the toes, you went right into staring at the exact opposite direction from God himself.
Honestly? I don't see you are evil. I see you as someone who caught onto a funky message and you have no idea how funky it is.
I used to excel at lying. Two secrets to a really good lie:
1. Be prepared to give account of a full story if called on the lie, but only tell a partial to start with. (I used to hitchhike, which is dangerous, particularly for a girl, so I made up a story about going to see my parole officer. The parole office was a few doors up from the drug rehab, so that base was covered. It was only a couple of months since I became clean, and being poorly employed, I didn't have the money for a new wardrobe, so I looked like I was still a druggie. That's all I told of the story. But, if the guy asked the whole of the story was "I was only the driver, and I didn't know they were going to rob the Pep Boys with a gun. That usually shocked the guys enough to start wondering if I was telling the full truth, and, by the time they thought it out, they were dropping me off in front of the parole office.)
2. Make sure 90% of the lie is truth. ("Did God say?" The first lie Satan ever used, and sure enough, 90% close to what God said, but not quite, giving room to question legitimately, unless you know the truth.)
Joseph Prince is a master of lies. Don't learn from a master, because you're doing just what he does. Just nudging a little bit at a time.
Meanwhile, I'm not letting you fool some naive folks into following that man by doing his advertising for him. And, I'm not sitting back while you nudge the gospel.
1. You can't.
2. I used to be an excellent liar, so you can't scam me into falling for the lie too.
No, the finished work of Jesus is what Jesus did. The whole of Jesus did, and there is much more to him than finishing. Not the wet, nor the water, and you cannot turn this around again and again as if I'm wrong here. I like to assume the best in people, unless the person is a scam artist. Joseph Prince is a scam artist laughing all the way to the bank on your hard work.
AND, isn't there a part of you that wish I mastered subtle, kinder, and/or softer, when God changed me out of being a liar? Sorry about that. Never did get the refined version of not-a-liar school.
Honest, I really think you're probably a very nice guy, but you've been fooled by a nudger. And, I'm particularly sensitive to that because I landed in a church right after it was completely, utterly ripped to shreds by a scam artist and saw how long it took people to recover from that. Looked something like a lapdog after a lynx played with it for a while. The people barely survived (many simply gave up on God all together) and were crushed for years.
I hope you get far enough to face that in yourself one day, although I know how much it hurts, but I'm just not going to let you drag others into the snares of that scam artist. I've experienced the aftermath before, and I'll do my best to stop as many from following as I'm able to.
