I must be the worst person ever.
Meh I doubt it. I hear some mom let her 4 yo play with a gorilla and it turned ugly. They've been downing her for days.

Hang in there.

I must be the worst person ever.
With all the serial killers, genocidal dictators, abusers and other such things out there, I think you'd have a lot of competition for that spot. But what happened to make you feel so horrible?

Hello everyone, just wanted to pop in and see what's going on. I haven't been here in a long time. Mostly because my laptop broke. Hope you're all well.

Random Musings (in keeping with original idea of "Streams") - - -

I taught three piano lessons this morning: two siblings and a new student. During one of the siblings' lesson, she began a phrase, then said "oh wait! Smoothly." and then played it in a perfect legato. It is incredibly rewarding when students correct their own mistakes before I have to say anything.

In other news, I just snarfed down a BLT made with homemade low-carb flax seed bread. I spread it with a mixture of mayo/mustard/honey, then a lot of pepper on the tomato. It was delicious!

Trying to muster up the energy to go get potting soil to transplant a few things.

The moment one of my students puts soap in her cup of water and sits down to drink it and then looks at ME weird when I tell her that we don't drink soap and water.

Been doing a lot of soul searching and thinking about how radically changed I am...even from the beginning of this year till now.
How The Lord took me from valley to valley and never turned His back on me...it was me who kept walking away. It was His kindness and mercy that restored me gently back to Himself...holding His arms out to embrace me as if I never left.
Ready to forgive every mistake and erase the pain it caused...wiping every teardrop from my cheek.
He whispers to my heart words of love...that I belong to Him.

My past is erased and and a new life begins for The Lord says He knows the thoughts He thinks toward me...thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give me an expected end.

I owe all that I am and have become to Jesus Christ...the love of my life...my best friend...my everything. <3

So, you all have probably noticed that I've been pretty quiet and mostly have just been away from this site (no? You haven't? Well, then...I actually don't know what to say. :p )

But the reason I have been away is, I've been working towards living a healthier life, and being more active, and mentally getting to where I need to be.

So far, I've been very successful. I've been losing weight (at a snail's pace, it feels like, but losing it) that I've needed to lose (haven't really been able to since Mom died). I've been mostly walking/running with my dog Mocha, but I also recently got a gym membership with my parents. They've been working out since last year. I've recently decided I would join them. And even though maybe not weight-wise, mentally I'm seeing results right away.
I've felt a lot more confident at my job, and work is actually going a lot better than it has been. I've been steadily gaining hours, and management seems to like me. I'm now trained in 3 different departments - front end (aka cashier), liquor (aka taking stock, ringing up alcohol, and lifting a lot of heavy cases of stuff), and now I'm getting trained in bakery. I won't be surprised if next month I end up working in like produce or something.
I've been eating much healthier. Or, trying to at least. I'm incorporating veggies I know I like into more dishes that I know they'll taste good in. Like, I made spaghetti, and I used ground turkey, I chopped up zucchini, and I replaced the noodles with spaghetti squash. It was delicious! My sister didn't even know it was made with turkey until I told her. She just was kind of like, "..Wait, really?" lol. I'll also make "Green smoothies." Kale and spinach are pretty flavorless, actually, and you blend them up with the right fruits, and it's actually delicious!
I've also been maintaining my friendship with my friend that I went to Indiana with last year. It's probably the longest I've kept a friend so far, and a friend this close to me, and it's a friendship I plan on keeping. She loves the Lord, her and I can talk about anything and everything. It's like, God knew what He was doing when He brought her into my life. It's so awesome!

And I think I've finally found a church I'm going to be involved in. A pretty famous person in the music industry calls this church "home" when he's not on tour, but I won't say who, and that's not the reason I'm probably going to be staying. I love how the church runs things. They make it a point to make anyone feel welcomed, ESPECIALLY people who don't know the Lord. They help break the ice by making people laugh. They have a way of making people feel comfortable without watering down the Word of God or doing things that'd make you question the salvation of the church (unless you were one of the people from BD forum. Then you question everyone's salvation except your own. :p )

Oh yeah, and I leave for California June 22nd for vacation. :)

So, yeah. That's one heckuva long post from me, whether you asked for it or not!

I'm so happy for you, Lil!! :D This almost makes me want to trust God again (but that's a whole other story..) I really am glad to hear you are enjoying life and that things are changing for the better for you. You've been through so much.

Today's color is Pink...
I bought a pink selfie stick yesterday (didn't know it was pink inside the box), I started using my pink bluetooth speaker (it used to be my sister's), and I just bought a little pink disney castle magnet for my niece.

I really wish God would give me a normal hand of cards that I can keep for once.
This is too much and I don't deserve it.

Maybe its because He wants you to rely on Him to help you play the hand you were dealt. I wish I could be more encouraging but I also understand the reality of things and can completely relate.

Yeah, but I don't know what I'm doing so it's a little bit of a struggle.
People are so complicated I DON'T get it.

I'm really not sure if people will respond to this or not, so I'm thinking about making it a thread. If the views and replies are low, then it probably should have just been posted here in the streams. Nonetheless, I'll try to think up a needle with which to start the thread.

The topic (as I imagine most here) is based on a perception of something versus my own experiences, thoughts, and feelings on the matter. In this case:
Kissing (and other non-sexual forms of what would be considered 'intimate' contact or dating interactions)

I was reading through this whole naked cowboy church scandal (and yes, that's what it is) and remembered lines of Miley Cyrus' song ("We Can't Stop") that disturbed me before. (the lyrics may be too vulgar! Be warned! I changed the font colour to be safe)

To my home girls here with the big butt
Shaking it like we at a strip club
Remember only God can judge ya
Forget the haters cause somebody loves ya

It's sad but I think it's just so twisted.
