A comment was made about about homosexuals having legal protection. We have a constitution In this country that gives civil rights to all, not just Christians. ..if you want to live in a country that persecutes homosexuals, try Saudi Arabia
correction....we have a constitution and bill of rights that recognizes that every man has certain rights derived from God....not government. One persons "civil" right is another persons "civil" wrong.

Nope, I already mentioned this, we have secular laws in this country to prevent religious persecution. Telling others how to live is not a right that you have.

Neither is telling others to accept something that they don't agree with on a religious or moral basis.

You don't have to accept it but you're acceptance doesn't regulate the rights of others.

Obviously he's not a true christian and has been living an absolute lie. YOU CANNOT be gay AND a christian at the same time.

It's interesting that this "right" that you speak of was a crime in most states not all that long ago and at the founding of this nation was a crime in all states punishable by death in some of them.

Mentally ill people need treatment. Enabling mental illness is not a God given right.

How was it hurting you though? And since gay people don't reproduce, they're not producing more liberals that you right Wingers hate so much. So it's a win right?

The two lesbians across the hall from me BOTH have kids. So obviously at one point in their life, they preferred men. And anyhoo, gay people CAN and DO adopt children, so........ It's not a win, it's a sacrilege IMO.

Maybe sacrilege but no one is obligated to respect anyone else's religion

If you want a christian country, everyone has to be christian and you have democratically chosen christian laws. If you want to forbid gay marriage, also forbid remarriage if it is adultery (would be nice to see who's gonna check that and how, some groups say any remarriage is adultery, wonder how people would respond if that was forbidden) and forbid fornication and forbid porn and treat it like child porn. It's just hypocrit to only single the gays out. The rest can do what they want.

Uh... The Western world bases its law systems on Judeo/Christian values, if not always beliefs. Therefore, secular laws don't protect squat.

Oh, my goodness! Are you daft or something? The homosexual agenda harms everyone! It's all about destroying the family unit. And the family unit is largely what holds together a healthy society.

No but opposition to the civil rights of any group of people always stems from religion
The reason you don't have much credibility is your liberal use of the words always and never. You're not the only one that uses those words frequently but you're are the worst offender near as I can tell. In light of that, if it "always" stems from religion, how do you explain Stalins atheist oppression against people. I could think of more examples but you probably don't even get what I'm saying here. Lol

Jas 1:14 But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed.
15 Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.

16 Do not be deceived, my beloved brethren.
