i understand a parent's heart, truly i do.
but reeealy? the boy raped an unconscious woman.

that's not 'action'. it's criminal, and i'm still not certain justice was done. :(

(I just post the Article, you decide)

The father of an ex-Stanford University swimmer who was sentenced to six months in jail last week for sexually assaulting an unconscious woman believes his son should have received probation because the 20-year-old has already suffered for “20 minutes of action.”

U.S.
Ex-Stanford swimmer’s dad calls son’s 6-month sentence for sexual assault ‘a steep price to pay for 20 minutes of action’

Wow,how horrible for him! He cant eat steak anymore,I cant imagine how he'll suffer through life now. I'm sure that will be a daunting task. Such horrific punishment for "20 minutes of action". And its a good thing that he's nonviolent too! Otherwise he could be in big trouble for 20 minutes of... oh wait!

Six months? Destroying a life and six months in the pen? Worlds gone crazy, not long ago he'd be swinging from the nearest tree...

A woman is said to be challenging her 5 year prison sentence for illegally enrolling her daughter's friend from one city to another city high school.
Reports say sending the girl to the school cost the district $47,000 in unpaid out-of-district tuition.

Gracious, sure wonder what side of the bed that judge/jurors got up from...

I don't understand it, how people get less time for committing heinous crimes.

I never want to be a judge... because when I read stuff like that I "forget" that I am against certain kinds of punishment

This is a fb post that I ran into.
Two guys saw him. One cried. This is insane people. Scary and insane.

Brock raped a girl behind a dumpster. He was caught by two amazing young men who chased and tackled him. The scene horrified them so much one man cried as he described what Brock was doing to the unconscious woman. Brock was found guilty and given a 6 month sentence because according to the judge he's a really good swimmer and a longer sentence might have a "severe impact on him". Brock's dad wants you to stop talking about his son being a rapist because he shouldn't be remembered for getting "20 minutes of action". Brock's swimming times were posted in a story about the rape to show you just how amazing an athlete he is. If you have sons make sure they are not a Brock.

Another example of why Jesus warned us about the deceitfulness of riches.
