Ah, man! That's my neighborhood! Pattison is the street I go on to go grocery shopping. I like going by FDR Park because it's the only place near me I can see multiple trees together without a traffic jam under them. AND, whenever they say "closing streets," what they really do is charge some residents to be able to park on our own streets. For $35 per year per house, (and the entire block has to agree to paying that price or they won't do it), we can get "permit parking," which means cops stop everyone but people who live on that block from parking there. They literally stop people from parking by having cop cars watch that block for an event. My street didn't go for it, so everyone knows our street is "free parking." In the last month, I've been blocked from coming up my own street for three different events, including a week-long "fair" at a local Catholic school. Another night, there was so much backed up traffic on my block, I parked at the other end and walked to my house, (which is close to the north end of the block.) I can't walk fast, but I got in my house before the car in front of me moved three car-lengths.

This tells me I have to pay close attention to the hours involved for the convention so I can do normal stuff like go grocery shopping and then park relatively close to my house to bring in the groceries. Worse yet, if there is another "emergency" (the last time they put him in ICU simply because it was faster than finding him a regular bed, so not an emergency, except for paperwork calling it that) with John which has me going to the hospital twice in a day again, I'll be lucky to park half a mile from my house.

Man! When the last convention was in town, it was no big deal because we could keep the car where it was. (I waved at G.H.W Bush the night he went down there to accept the nomination. Motorcade with tinted glass, so no idea if he waved back. I just happened to be out taking a walk, so I was the only one waving.) But, I fear, it will be much bigger this time, because it's our politicians' party.

I sure hope John's home before the Dems come to town.

As for the fence? No big story. They also put up fencing for Jazzy whats-his-name's summer concert in the center of town. Just portable chain link with something blocking the line-of-sight. They just don't want any of those Republican hoodlums coming with signs to picket their grand event.

Truthfully, the Republican nominee is the guy who wants a really big (and permanent) fence on our southern border.

I'm a Trump supporter. What is it that you don't like about me or think that I am less than you?

Yes, but you said that If he literally killed someone I would still support him. Do you think that is factual about me?
your candidate 'tells it like it is'

Has Trump ever killed anyone? Have you ever told your sister or brother in anger that you were going to kill them? Do you think Trump would actually kill someone on 5th av? You have these trite little responses and they seem to be coming from an emotional place.

if you want a full response to your question...then here it is...don't complain that you are getting it...

would you still support trump if he murdered someone? i don't know any more...and i think trump's intended hyperbole was more accurate than he even knew...

i have seen you and other trumpists excuse literally everything trump does...-everything-... i don't know where your 'red line' is any more...if you even -have- a real red line...since it seems trumpists keep moving their red lines as trump himself deprives you of viable reasons to support him...

now you can say this is a cruel misreading of your character...maybe it is...but know that i misread your character -with your full cooperation-... if you truly want to understand where i am coming from...try suspending your trumpism for just a little while if you are able...and try to see what you people look like to a non trumpist...

I could really turn everything you said right back around on you but I won't. Why can't we just agree to disagree? Why put someone like me beneath you? As much as you say I don't see it from your perspective I don't recall you ever attempting to see it from mine.

I'm still trying to decide which I have the biggest problems with -- your green skin, the scales on the skin, or that you can find a coffee mug that small? Still deciding. (I like the eyes though. lol)
