first of all i make a distinction between 'qualified' and 'fit' for office...qualifications depend more on experience and policy while fitness for the office is a character thing...

since you are responding to posts in which i refer to a candidate's fitness for office...i am going to assume that you actually want to know what traits a person needs to be fit for office...

if i had to list the minimum traits that a person needs to possess in order to be fit for the office...these four come to mind...

sanity...no mental instability or personality disorders that could produce serious lapses in judgment...

integrity...even if they are on the wrong side of an issue they should at least be sincerely wrong...

respect for the constitution...that document should limit and govern their behavior in office and if they aren't committed to letting it do that they then have no business in office...

finally they should not be evidently guilty of any serious crime...by 'serious' i mean a speeding ticket does not make someone unfit for office...

applying these to past and current candidates...romney passed on all four...obama clearly failed on two in his first presidential campaign and by his reelection it was evident that he had failed on all four...hillary clearly fails on at least two as of now...and trump fails on all four...
I am going to just through this out there we either vote for Hillary who is an exact replica of Obama in every way. Or we vote for Trump who is at least going to not push things under the rug and pretend the problems with Isis and other foreign enemies does not exist. Hmmmm my vote is for someone who wants to actually do something to protect America over someone who is going to go in and do it the exact same way as Obama. I do not like everything Trump stands for however you have to realize that we have to deal with who ever is chosen for four years. This could be the election that either makes America safer and stronger again or we can have someone come in who wants to just try to rip apart peoples rights all over the place again and push things on Americans by executive order. All i can say is do your homework people because America can either get better or be destroyed more by who ever takes office.

I just watched 13hrs, the Benghazi movie. I would never in the wide living world vote for Hillary. I can't understand how anyone in their right mind would, and certainly not a Christian. Don't like Trump? Get him out in 4yrs. If we took 8yrs of Obama we can stand four of Trump.

did i not just say hillary clinton is unfit for office?

the reason why i may give one candidate more negative attention on here than the other...is because hillary clinton doesn't have anyone angrily rushing to her defense if i say anything negative about her...
Fair enough. But remember, there are uniformed people reading these threads who will vote for hillary because they see Trump bashed like a piñata while there is silence on her.

I don't think that the general will be influenced by the threads on here:p

Despite this fact, the outcome of another, soon to be fact, is that Clinton and Sanders will be joining forces which will inevitably make Trumps campaign lose some momentum. We will have to wait and see, though.

Both Trump and Clinton are making statements that comes across amusing. After reading their speeches my impression is that Trump is describing Clinton as a heavily educated empty dress, while Clinton is saying Trump is a country villain.

Clinton's mistake is that she is failing to comprehend the 2nd amendment, and how a great number of voters are concerned with abortion, and the immigration to the country. Trump's mistake is that he comes across hot tempered and a bit childish at times. He's also too slick on some occasions. Also, Clinton is too much of a Democrat, and Trump is not enough of a Republican:p

I don't think any of the candidates will win in a landslide...and this time...every vote is important.

I think Trump is gonna clean house. The gloves are off and he is exposing the election fraud of both parties and the criminal enterprise that are the Clintons. It'll be interesting to watch. I pray God keeps him safe. He is risking his life saying what he is saying.

So far we've gotten. He's not fit for office because he is insane, because he lacks the character traits as you see as fitting for the office. He's a criminal with mafia ties. He hates handicapped people and he said he could shoot someone on 5th avenue and idiots like me would still vote for him. He's a hot head who doesn't understand how to run a country and possibly he was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. He's been married 3 times, he wants to sleep with his daughter and he beats the crap out of his dog when he comes home at night. Anything you wanna add to that? Lol
Yeah, a WALL. :)
