Maybe because it could be argued by some that much of the poverty in the world is caused by a conspiracy of some sort.
if you fix all the poverty there will still be wars and conflict because then it will be a power trip war. Isis is not in an uproar over poverty is all about their radical religious views. Poverty is a problem yes but not the solution.

chuck I did not say that poverty is not a huge problem it is I agree with that I was saying that fixing poverty will not end all wars. Wars are fought over power and control for the most part. I feel horrible that some nations have people starving for days and do not know when their next meal is coming from it makes my heart hurt for them. I just simply do not think that solving the poverty problem is the complete fix to wars. I t may help for sure but will not be a cure all for wars.
