"Stand fast, don't desert your king. He will rein forever and we will rein with him, if we do not deny Him. Praise to the KING OF KINGS AND THE LORD OF ALL" ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Do you mean "stand up and do not depart"?

Desert-A desert is a barren area of land where little precipitation occurs and consequently living conditions are hostile for plant and animal life.

Don't desert God???????? Do you mean do not leave God in the desert?

Or do you mean desserts? Do not make a pie out of God?

You really need to go back to school. How can i debate with you if your understanding of words is limited?

I'm sorry, my Masters Degree is showing. I should not criticize you for lack of education.

You speak well enough, but you say nothing of substance.
There is proverb that you remind me of...
A wise man speaks, when he has something to say.
The fool speaks because he has to say something. Ain't it the truth!

The two witnesses are either:

A. Moses and Elija
or
B Enoch and Elijah

Either way you are way off base badger58.
This little piece of work is a masterpiece of literary wit. You should think about having it publishes!
You forgot the h in Elijah
See what happens when you flex your smart muscle? I forgive you. Try to forgive me.

Where, by the way, do you think Enoch is?
I thought absent from the Body is present with the Lord.
IF one belongs to HIM...so where is THE LORD?

By the way, John 3:13 also does not say "the 3rd heaven"...
The only place written, I believe, is with regards to Paul having to tell the church that he knew a man who was taken up to the 3rd heaven, because Paul got tired of listening to the church's boasting in everything BUT what they truly should be boasting in...which is THE LORD and HIM alone
I'm happy for you miknik5, you discovered the third Heaven. Now, how about reading Heb 11, and tell me if Enoch didn't die? It's there too, I didn't lie to you. Peace

my point is they are Gods holy convocations, feasts to and for our lord,
they where given before there was even a jew, not a jewish holyday

I believe a study of the Holy Days shows Gods plan ,
starting with passover, not ending with it, shadows of things to come
Point taken, thanks for keeping my feet to the fire. I am trying to be as accurate as I can:)

Jesus died ! Do you not believe that He was fully God? I thought that was prerequisite to faith?

Jhn 1:1 ¶ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Jhn 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.

Jhn 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

Jhn 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men

Default Re: the two witnesses are God the Father and the Holy Spirit

To understand who the two witnesses are has baffled bible students for 2000 yrs. Since we know this, I say its not a sin to consider every possibility. I believe that using our God given imagination coupled with prayer, bible study and guidance from the Holy Spirit, we can discover the deep things of God. Remember what Jesus said when asked about the wife of the seven brothers.
In the reserection, who's wife would she be? The Lord said" you do err greatly because you miss read the scripture and do not understand the power of God. The bible and the universe clearly teach the power of God with out limits.i say we have to start from that premise, and build from there.

There is a big difference leaving a letter off the end of a word, and using a totally wrong word with a totally different meaning.

If you do not know the meanings of the words you use, then how can you ever know what the Scriptures say with you limited vocabulary?

How can you ever say you read the Scriptures and even understand what the Holy Spirit says if your vocabulary is limited to the 3rd grade?

Did you even know what the word desert meant before you used it?

I can excuse the misspelling a word, i can even excuse if you left a letter off a word. But to use a word and not even know the meaning of the word just proves your ignorance.

I'm sorry i used such a big word for you. Here is its meaning so you can at least learn this new word.

Ignorance-a lack of knowledge, understanding, or education.

I know you won't bother reading this, but others will.
It explains how to deal with this little problem.
The honest reader will understand what Mathew Henry is saying.

Young's Literal Translation
Answer a fool according to his folly, Lest he be wise in his own eyes.

Commentary
Matthew Henry Commentary
26:2. He that is cursed without cause, the curse shall do him no more harm than the bird that flies over his head. 3. Every creature must be dealt with according to its nature, but careless and profligate sinners never will be ruled by reason and persuasion. Man indeed is born like the wild ass's colt; but some, by the grace of God, are changed. 4,5. We are to fit our remarks to the man, and address them to his conscience, so as may best end the debate. 6-9. Fools are not fit to be trusted, nor to have any honour. Wise sayings, as a foolish man delivers and applies them, lose their usefulness. 10. This verse may either declare how the Lord, the Creator of all men, will deal with sinners according to their guilt, or, how the powerful among men should disgrace and punish the wicked. 11. The dog is a loathsome emblem of those sinners who return to their vices, 2Pe 2:22. 12. We see many a one who has some little sense, but is proud of it. This describes those who think their spiritual state to be good, when really it is very bad. 13. The slothful man hates every thing that requires care and labour. But it is foolish to frighten ourselves from real duties by fancied difficulties. This may be applied to a man slothful in the duties of religion. 14. Having seen the slothful man in fear of his work, here we find him in love with his ease. Bodily ease is the sad occasion of many spiritual diseases. He does not care to get forward with his business. Slothful professors turn thus. The world and the flesh are hinges on which they are hung; and though they move in a course of outward services, yet they are not the nearer to heaven. 15. The sluggard is now out of his bed, but he might have lain there, for any thing he is likely to bring to pass in his work. It is common for men who will not do their duty, to pretend they cannot. Those that are slothful in religion, will not be at the pains to feed their souls with the bread of life, nor to fetch in promised blessings by prayer. 16. He that takes pains in religion, knows he is working for a good Master, and that his labour shall not be in vain. 17. To make ourselves busy in other men's matters, is to thrust ourselves into temptation. 18,19. He that sins in jest, must repent in earnest, or his sin will be his ruin. 20-22. Contention heats the spirit, and puts families and societies into a flame. And that fire is commonly kindled and kept burning by whisperers and backbiters. 23. A wicked heart disguising itself, is like a potsherd covered with the dross of silver.

He was taken and now I believe that you are implying he was taken to the 3rd heaven which IS heaven. But he,unlike other men,did not physically die once and it is appointed to all men to die once

Then what do we do with these? Do we disregard them?

Jhn 1:18 No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.
Jhn 3:13 And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.
1Ti 6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
1Jo 4:12 No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

The book of Enoch was not canonized for this reason. If they had canonized it, we would have a big problem.

For we know that scripture can never contradict scripture, and we know that God is not the author of confusion.

So how do we compare and contrast these passages of scripture?

[Gen 5:24 KJV] 24 And Enoch walked with God: and he [was] not; for God took him.

[Heb 11:5 KJV] 5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

[Jde 1:14 KJV] 14 And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the Lord cometh with ten thousands of his saints,

[Heb 11:13 KJV] 13 These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off, and were persuaded of [them], and embraced [them], and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

Does it really matter what badger58 wants to believes in?

Does it matter to our Salvation who the two witnesses are? No, it does not matter.

We need to pray for those who do not walk in the Light with Jesus.

Did you come down from Heaven?
Did any "man" but THE SON OF GOD come down from Heaven?
What do we do with this TRUTH: I came forth from THE FATHER and into the world...AGAIN...I leave the world and go back to THE FATHER...
What do we do with this TRUTH: HE had to descend so as to ascend so as to fill all things and so as to be over all things and to have preeminence over all things created

We do with those verses which you mentioned what we were supposed to "do" with it...
Believe it and understand that the TESTIMONY of JESUS is THE SPIRIT OF PROPHECY...

When John was testifying of JESUS, he was testifying of JESUS...no other "man" but JESUS...

Your right, it doesn't matter what I believe, but to say: Jesus doesn't care who the two witnesses are is a blatant lie! Since everything we know about them is written in the word of God. It's strange thing! The bible and Jesus are called the word of God.

I just quoted scripture apposing that notion. Why would you ask me: Did you come down from heaven?
It seems some you are very bitter. I have tried growing a thicker skin, but you can't even have a civil dialogue.

Is there anything of substance, scripture, wisdom in here? Or is it the spirit of ridicule, for the sake of ridicule

I confess: I do not have a a degree in anything. Good for you. I did not apply my mind in school, when I should have. I was surfing and skiing instead. To my shame. I dropped out of college. I did not take anything serious until I found Jesus. Since then, I have tried to make amends. I have stuck with it, and not lost faith. I was a slow reader too, in the beginning, but the study of the bible changed me. I apologize for attacking you, and ask you to forgive me. You were right. I let my ego get the better of me. I did some soul searching last night and had to repent. I will not stop sharing what I believe in my heart to be true. If I'm wrong, I trust my God and savior, my Judge to correct me. I know that nobody that has studied the word for 40 years, deserves to be treated like a dog and ridiculed. I will be a better man for addressing you. I leave you with His words. "By this all men will know that you are my deciples".
Peace

Mic 1:2 ¶ Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

Mic 1:3 For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

Mic 1:4 And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place

You did NOT come down from Heaven.
Neither did I come down from Heaven.
No man has come down from Heaven but the ONE who is in Heaven...even the SON OF MAN.
Did you forget all of John's testimony?

CHRIST alone is the ONE who came down from heaven and testifies of what HE has seen.
If a man did not receive HIS TESTIMONY, than the man in a sense, calls GOD a liar...for it is THE SPIRIT who testifies with our spirit to the TRUTH of THE WORD of GOD...

We already have THAT WITNESS in us...
For there are three that bear record *of us* in heaven: THE FATHER, THE WORD, and THE SPIRIT and these three are ONE.
Just as there are three that bear record *of HIM* on earth: the water and the blood (natural man) and THE SPIRIT...and these three agree in the ONE (man reborn of GOD'S SPIRIT and marked as belonging to GOD).

Now you will say that this part of 1John 5 was added afterwards.
But what do you say of all that was said just prior to this supposed "addition"?
