Is there anything of substance, scripture, wisdom in here? Or is it the spirit of ridicule, for the sake of ridicule

I confess: I do not have a a degree in anything. Good for you. I did not apply my mind in school, when I should have. I was surfing and skiing instead. To my shame. I dropped out of college. I did not take anything serious until I found Jesus. Since then, I have tried to make amends. I have stuck with it, and not lost faith. I was a slow reader too, in the beginning, but the study of the bible changed me. I apologize for attacking you, and ask you to forgive me. You were right. I let my ego get the better of me. I did some soul searching last night and had to repent. I will not stop sharing what I believe in my heart to be true. If I'm wrong, I trust my God and savior, my Judge to correct me. I know that nobody that has studied the word for 40 years, deserves to be treated like a dog and ridiculed. I will be a better man for addressing you. I leave you with His words. "By this all men will know that you are my deciples".
Peace
The things that you list as if this makes us "wise" are the credentials needed to "appear wise" before the eyes of men
That isn't the credentials that make one qualified before GOD.
You know that.

But what this man was saying to you was not to shame you.
He was clearly saying what all of us should do.

Please take a look at 1John 2 and 2John
And remember there is a difference between those who keep their feet planted firmly on THE FOUNDATION...who keep ever before them what they began in...and do not MOVE from what they began in...

From those who keep heaping upon THE FOUNDATION...additions that are just not needed.
Please review 1Corinthians 3

By the way, I do not have a bitter spirit (yet, I am not sure, maybe I do)...all I do know is that I used to hold back HIS WORD for fear of offending men...
But now, I just speak, trusting that what I have been given to understand and know is not for my service...and I, maybe I have a face like flint and it appears to you that I am "bitter"...
But maybe it is steadfast?

Because I used to cry for the souls of men, and because my emotions kept getting in the way of me preaching as boldly as I should, I had to, through HIS DISCIPLINE, even still these lower senses so as to preach as I should preach.

I depended on my emotions too much.
If I cried enough, I thought that was "love"?

How is that "love" if in my crying I withhold the TRUTH of CHRIST from any because I was afraid to offend men?

HE'LL judge me...
I stopped looking and looking and looking at myself...

Your judgment of me is without full understanding of who and where I have been...

Point taken, I'm sorry. I was not judging, I was trying to appeal to you, that you would converse with me as a brother and not as your mortal enemy. That's all. We are to deny the flesh daily and put down the old nature. Today that is my goal, I may be a jerk again tomorrow, but today that is my focus.:)
Peace

You will NEVER be my mortal enemy. I don't have any...and should NOT have any...

Today, I don't feel so much like a "jerk"...at least I feel less of a "jerk" today.

And you see, this "feeling" that I am "less of a jerk today" is based on my NOT responding (to a personal issue) the way I normally and naturally would have and wanted to respond.

I realize that this doesn't mean that I will appeal to the other person and we will be reconciled but, I am hoping that this unusual response will "put out the fire"

Again, this is something personal that I am up against today...

The stuff God teaches about confessing and forgiving really works. By the way, all of 1 John 5 is on my top 10 list of the New Testament, if not my favorite!

I am going through a lot myself. I want to encourage you with this verse:psalm 30:5New King James Version (NKJV)

5 For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But joy comes in the morning.

OK, I will make this as simple as I can, using the bible and basic deduction skills.
Judge me now and share with the body of Christ. 1 John 5:7 There are 3 that bare witness in heaven. The Father, the Word(who became Jesus) if you disagree read John 1:1-8, and the Holy Spirit. Now read Rev 3:13,14. Jesus is a faithful and true witness. Alright, now using simple deduction. Rev 3:13,14 Jesus is 1 true witness. 1 John 5:7 states that the two other witnesses in Heaven are the Father and the Holy Spirit. The law of not condemning anyone on the testimony of one witness is a patterned after Heaven(based on simple deduction this is my logical assumption). So, if what I have proposed thus far is true. Am I within my rights, as a child of God. Can I proceed in searching the scripture, to see where this line of reasoning takes me to. If so, then there should be other scripture to spur me forward or to lead me to another conclusion. If you disagree, please be kind and explain why you think I'm off course. Thanks for taking the time to look at this. Thy word is true! Oh God. Shalom
Please consider this observation. Do you remember the trial of the century(they called it) the O.J. Simpson trial.
At the critical time in the trial. They couldn't get through to the jurry with a mountain of evidence. So they thought they
could slam dunk it by having O.J put on the gloves. Remember that! Johnny Chocran new, at that moment they would get a not guilty verdict.
Ok
Here is the precise moment during His trial, that the saviors guilt(in the eyes of the Sanhedrin council)would be sealed.
They had to here Him say(IT), in order to condemn Him.
Mat 26:63 But Jesus held his peace. And the high priest answered and said unto him, I adjure thee by the living God, that thou tell us whether thou be the Christ, the Son of God.

Mat 26:64 Jesus saith unto him, Thou hast said: nevertheless I say unto you, Hereafter shall ye see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.

Mat 26:65 Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He hath spoken blasphemy; what further need have we of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard his blasphemy.

Mat 26:66 What think ye? They answered and said, He is guilty of death.

He gave them the truth, but the truth had no way to be proven. He would have another witness to get a not guilty verdict, under Jewish law.
Who could give that second and third WITNESS?
I ASK YOU?
THIS IS MY POINT!

I believe the reason you badger58 believe what you believe is because you have had no formal training in how to understand what the Scriptures say.

Its like a 3 year old child sitting down and trying to understand Rocket Science.

You need training first badger58. You need to return to school, get you High School Diploma then move on to College and learn how to read and understand what the Holy Spirit says in the Scriptures.

What you believe about me or what I believe about you is irrelevant. Answer the question! This is my question. Who was there at the beginning and can give lawful testimony? Not a second hand account, not what you take on faith, that would not be admissible evidence. WHO has seen the word of God, Jesus in heaven. I am not interested in your personal attacks on me.
I am woefully aware of my inadequacies. I know that There are a lot smarter guys out there. Unfortunately, I am all you have, since I am the one who is putting myself out there with this idea. If I am crazy, or you take me for a fool. Have mercy on me, and please try by using scripture. Explain it so a child could understand it. Peace

It is beautiful isn't it.
Who is it who has overcome?

That is such a beautiful TRUTH that we all need to be reminded of...

But I can converse with you as a sister.

CHRIST. CHRIST was there and could give lawful testimony...except that they did not believe the ONE who also testified of HIM...
It doesn't change the TRUTH though that HIS testimony is valid...and HE could (even though the law said two or three need
to testify to validate a TRUTH) testify of HIMSELF because HE knew where HE came from and where HE was going...

Please read all that you can regarding CHRIST'S TESTIMONY...HIS pointing to John as a temporary witness...and HIS pointing to THE FATHER...

no. when GOD'S SPIRIT begins to teach a man, that man doesn't need training from the world at all.

I know.
Because I also have been taught only by ONE TEACHER...and HE is SUFFICIENT to teach....since THE SPIRIT is TRUTH and will lead ALL MEN to THE TRUTH...

What Badger needs is one thing...to keep HIS EYES on CHRIST and TRUST by faith that all GOD'S WORD and PROMISEs are AMEN for all those whose faith is in HIS SON...

Lol, that's shows how much we can discern about each other online Miknik5. I hope you are feeling better about everything this evening:)
Well...it's all drama...all I have "learned" is that each of us has a different idea that we THINK we know what the other is up to...and so, we make hasty assumptions thinking that someone is out to deliberately offend or hurt us.

I have learned that I will be offended...and not to be "SURPRISED" by it anymore...even those who I thought should know better make wrong judgments and so, I have to learn not to be outwardly enraged anymore...take it with a grain of salt and know that it will happen...

Well, someone on this website pointed out the blue writing of a person's name symbolizes male while the pink symbolizes female.

So now you know!

I do have the only foundations(Jesus) on which to build, and it may look like I am building a crazy looking house, but I have been a carpenter all my life. I'm also left handed, kind of creative. I know that God is with me, of that I am sure.
So it may look wackier than everyone else's house, but I have this promise from the Lord!

1Co 3:10 According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth thereon. But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

1Co 3:11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

1Co 3:12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble;

1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.

1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.

1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.

I have to take care of my cat, she lost a baby kitten tonight... That makes me sad

This verse tells me we will go through, at least part of the tribulation period.

1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
