Jesus spoke the same truth over and over.. The gospel of grace was what he spoke everywhere he went.. It's good keep repeating ourselves ya never know who's ears it will fall on :)
I was sitting here thinking the very same thing.

And many people on here get highly agitated if the gospel is not preached in their churches, every single Sunday of the year... year, after year, after year.

Really? Might want to re-read what he said, because the only reason it sounds like it's repeated is because it's repeated by four POVs. (And, I refuse to get back to that "gospel of grace" junk again.)

And by now, I can tell you who's ears it falls on, because it's the same ears each time. AND the same reaction.

Do any of you guys ever get tired of hearing Dueling Banjos? I hear that song in the back of my head, because it is just that.

One person starts the tune. Someone else just has to make it into something, so repeats the tune with a different instrument and that starts the never ending Dueling Banjos routine.

If you're tired of it to, you have two things you can do about it -- stop setting it up. Stop reacting.

And I'd like people to stop doing this because the entire room/forum is nothing but banjo noise for everyone, including those without banjos! Those with pianos. Those with violins. Those with drums. Those with electric guitars. And those with absolutely no musical talent! Same song repeated for over a year. If the message hasn't been received yet, repeating it constantly doesn't work! If it is received, 20,000 don't have the need to repeat it to those who received it.

So, what do I have against Joseph Prince? Quick version -- Joseph Prince doesn't know any of us on this site, and yet he thinks quite a few of us are worthless in God's kingdom, (if we're in his kingdom at all), because of our health issues and/or our finances.

Longer version, (and I picked an article specifically because it is NOT as long-winded as I am) --
Joseph Prince: Unmerited Favor - Christian Research Institute

This is the Word of Faith reloaded specifically to fleece people, and he really doesn't care if he destroys people in the process. He seems benign. His followers seem benign. (Even if they don't know they drank the Kool Aid, it's dangerous. And I truly feel sorry for those who have without knowing the lie they're buying.) Don't buy it. It's cancerous and affects the whole church.

And that doesn't even get into his marketing tactics. (And amazing feat for me, since marketing is something I truly get into -- whether white hat or black hat -- just because I like to see honest marketing.)

'kay? Are we all on the same page now that you know what I have against him?

Is it me, Or do I smell a scent of sarcasm here?? A little hypocrisy maybe??

Wow. And she calls the gospel of Grace junk..

Acts 20:24
But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.

You guys seem hopeless. I really mean that. You constantly harp, cry, complain, and moan about us telling you how WE feel.... and yet, when someone DOES, you refuse to read and believe an honest man speaking right to you. You, instead, search and search and search websites till you can locate someone who may have an extreme view.

Then what do you do? You post your copy/paste... claiming that what you have ferreted-out is our belief instead of what someone just took the time to type out for you in plain English.
That is so pitifully weak. You should be ashamed for even saying it.
I was sitting here thinking the very same thing.

And many people on here get highly agitated if the gospel is not preached in their churches, every single Sunday of the year... year, after year, after year.
But this just brings highly agitated.

Yes.. The once who receive it.. You will know the ones who receive grace because they will walk and talk it. (You shall know them by their fruit)

Also what Jesus spoken is repeated from genesis to revelation.. The same message. Bless u Lynn xx

Yeah, if that's who satan has convinced you that you are. Why do you think Adam and Eve hid? They believed the lie satan told them, and believed that what God made was not really good as He had stated it was.
They hid because they heard GOD's voice and feared being condemned for breaking his law.

I thought hyper grace doctrine teaches that being sin-conscious is evil and subverts the renewing of the mind. I guess maybe you don't agree with this point of doctrine?
Know what I see HRFTD? A "euphoric" group of believers, so enraptured by grace, they just never get around, to working out their salvation, with fear and trembling. Nor, do I see any outward indications that they even wanna! Cuz when it comes around for them to do that? They just spin yet another circle. Seems the last line in "Glory Be To The Father"........."World With Out End", is their motto. Or, they'll "Fly Away", from a world (age) that is crashing down.

(from EG's post #28)
"Sin consciousness is evil
, as it is contrary to what God says about sin and about you. Sin consciousness is accompanied by feelings of inferiority, inadequacy and a sense of not measuring up. Sin consciousness screams: “Look at you, you are such a failure” It seeks to get your eyes off of Jesus and on yourself and your shortcomings. The enemy uses it to distract and paralyze believers. There is nothing good about being sin conscious."

"Using the context of what the author said. and his definition of what sin consiousness is..
does any one disagree?"

Ya, I disagree. There's the Whole Government on Jesus' shoulders that are doing/saying these things to you. Why, did you ask? Because they are WANTING you to CONFRONT this "sinful nature", to OVERCOME! Tis true, Grace brought ya to Christ. Is ALSO true, tis GRACE you "pick up yer (own) cross, not merely to "follow" (in) Christ, but, yea, WALK, BESIDE HIM, WITH His Father, AND His GOD!!

One man's "evil", is another man's "challenge"!

A SAINT'S GUIDE TO SINNING LESS

Oh, I know. You read that title and immediately thought, "How self righteous and prideful" but no. This isn't coming from a place of moral superiority, but of identity. This is coming from a place of new birth. No where in scripture will you read the children of God being addressed as "Dear sinners" but you will see them be called saints. VVhy? For the very reason that identity carries with it a compulsion to fulfill itself. There is a saying, "If it barks like a dog, if it walks like a dog, then its a dog." The way you see yourself affects the way you carry yourself. So without further ado, who are you? If we align our identity with who God calls us [and has made us] to be we will walk as He has intended for us. Righteously.

Lets begin by reading a portion of Romans 6, even so take some time to read all of it to truly get the impact of you being set free from sin.

Romans 6 King James Version (KJV)

6 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.

VVhat do we gather from these verses? VVhat do they say about you? Let it form your identity and mindset. You are not a servant of sin, but dead to sin and alive unto God. Those things that held you, or do this moment are contrary to the truth. Have faith, believe God. You are set free from sin's dominion under grace.

Romans 6:14 King James Version (KJV)

14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Grasp this truth and let it sink in. Come in agreement with God that you are born-again, made the righteousness of God in Christ, Jesus. You are no longer shackled to sin, but set free by God's grace. He doesn't condemn you for your sin. He loves you, and you are reconciled to Him. Forevermore. See yourself through God's eyes. VVho does God call you to be and who has He made you to be? Be just that. Its who you are. VVhen you sin you realize that isn't who you are. Your actions don't align with who you truly are. Recognizing who you are, according to God, will in part have an affect upon the amount of sin in your life. You are a saint, a child of God born-again, and dead to sin. Set free to walk in righteousness.

This is a process known as renewing the mind. Renew your mind by learning what God says about you and what scripture says happens to you once becoming born again, taking part in Christ's death and resurrection (symbolized in baptism). This is a saint's guide to sinning less, and the solution is found in identity. This identity comes by revelation of the Holy Spirit as Teacher. Remember, it is God who sanctifies us ultimately, and this renewal of the mind is coming in agreement with God about who we are in Jesus Christ.
Ben, it's rather unfortunate that some have no understanding what has happened in the spirit when they are born again, some little understanding and learning. I'm starting to get this myself, we are citizens of heaven, we are in the Kingdom of God and it is in us. If you travel to another country, their culture is different to the culture you were previously from so you have to learn to adapt and understand how they think and do things. I'd say this is a part as you say renewing the mind. Unlearning thought patterns from the kingdom of darkness and learning how the Kingdom of God works, so His will in heaven can be done on earth through us. We truly belong to the Kingdom of God, we don't get kicked out because we sinned lol as some may unknowingly suggest..good post mate, just some thoughts I had.

Sinning less

Never heard any of the biblical writers said our goal is to sin less. Must have missed those verses.

Jesus said, sin no more. Because the culture here is we cannot do that, let us talk about reducing our sinning. Sounds like no proper definition of what sin we are talking about.

He guys I have cut down my trips to the girls on the street from every other day to once a week.
Beating up the poor defenceless idiots is also down to once a month.

I am now a pretty good guy compared to last month. Will get a good progress card next prayer meeting.

By the way as Ben has openly declared reading the law bring condemnation and should be avoid, and it is self deception you could spend a day without sinning, what is he actually saying, it is better to be a less of sinner today than you were yesterday?

But why? If it is all going to get sorted with a big bang when you meet Jesus, maybe it is just for those super spiritual nuts.

Trouble is what if the solution is a terminal destruction, because you never made the grade or even begun to turn you heart around, and stayed an "evil doer" as Jesus said. No future there.

This may be the beginning...but it's not the end.

The foundation is Christ but we build upon faith, virtue, wisdom, selfcontrol, perservance, brotherly kindness and love.
