It's disgusting how people feel the only way to object to police brutality is through their own brutality of innocent police officers in a different city, in a different state!
I mourn for the 4 year old daughter of Castile, who had to watch her father killed right before her eyes. I mourn for all the family members of guilty and innocent victims. Why the heck don't these snipers think about the OTHER lives they affect by killing these cops who are fathers, husbands, brothers, uncles, etc... who had nothing to do with the unjust killings going on in other parts of the US.
I don't wish death upon anyone, even the guilty, but I could, at the very least, understand the reasoning for targeting the cops who specifically did the unjust killings. It wouldn't be right or just, but understandable at the very least. I cannot understand this though... killing innocent random cops that had nothing to do with the recent shootings...

Tragic. After signing off the Minnesota cop kills motorist last night, I saw this. I was already in a downcast mood going back and forth with fellow Christians. My belief that some of the exchange and sentiments were not a exemplary example of Christians. One of the poster was a ex LEO, and while I did not agree with some of what he said, I signed off in a gloomy mood because him, and so many officers are doing so much for us. It is a shame that a few bad apples have foisted this atmosphere on us.
Sin and human nature. Police are often in a no win situation. It is often a thankless job. A stressful profession. And it is proved by the high divorce rates, the alcoholism, the suicides.
I am sure the officers that killed those men in Minnesota and Louisiana are experiencing many traumatic emotions. There lives are never going to be the same. And of course the families of those two men that were killed.
I am a little on the sensitive side, and last night, after signing off here, and even before hearing the news of the Dallas incident, I was near tears. Maybe the back and forth of the days post drained me.
Then I heard this horrific news.
Just catastrophic. Numbing.
I keep saying I hope Jesus comes sooner then later. This world is just to wicked.

How is someone a "guilty victim?" I suspect I'm reading that wrong, so I'm asking, not accusing.
This one is more an accusation though -- how do you understand someone shooting a cop involved in those shootings when we don't even have all the facts yet to judge? I'm very against mob mentality of any kind. That IS what caused this! And I'm not against killing murderers, so I'm not quite up to the peacefulness you are. I don't believe in peace at all cost. I'm against lynching too, even if done by a gun instead of a rope.

The sniper is dead too. Not shot. Blown up by the cops with a bomb-toting robot, and only after negotiating with him for hours. They set the bomb off when they knew the sniper was going to shoot more.

I turned my TV on just in time for the Dallas mayor and police chief's press conference. They asked the country to join the citizens of Dallas in prayer at noon CDT. My family intends to honor that request.
I am appalled the ridiculous hate based crime that occurred. There is absolutely no excuse for this type of crime to take place in the United States. No excuse! It is a massive failure of the church, the government, the leadership, and the people of this great nation. The church, with rare exceptions, has become a social club with a half gospel being taught. Christian responsibility barely exists. The government is so fractured that any piece of legislation has so many amendments on it that no one actually knows what it actually says. The country's leadership is so busy grinding each other into sausage, that they don't have time to do the job that they were elected to do.
And, finally the people. We the people are so busy with our electronic toys, that we can't find time to keep track of ourselves, let alone our children. I have visited many homes that have no dinning room table, or a table piled with junk. Kids come down, get a plate, and return to their room and the web. Parents are either on the web, TV, or a violent video game. Where is the family time? Want to know why kids are staying home after high school? They have no reason to do anything else.
The saddest thing to me is that parents have stopped taking their kids to church. In my neighborhood, one family out of five within walking distance from my house, takes their kids to church. We bring two busloads of kids without a parent to church. Until parents become invested into the lives of their children, until parents take the time to pray with and for their children, and until parents take back their lives from a dysfunctional government and return their lives to God, things are only going to get worse.
