I want to find a church where the congregation is on fire for God. I also want the message preached to be good and accurate according to the bible. I want the church to be smaller and they really care for their members and accepting of newcomers. I also want them to have classes or mentors to help out with nurturing a new believer helping them to mature. I want them to be strong in prayer, loving and not judgemental, and many different outreach programs.

Finding a church that is all these things is very difficult. Hopefully I am lead to the right church for me soon. The church God wants me in.
 
I think there is also one a mile or two North of that one I mentioned above on 153.

If you don't find a church that meets every criteria you want perhaps you could join one to help?
 
I'll check into it willie. I don't want to go the seventh day Adventist ones. I would prefer Church of God, Church of Christ, Baptist, and non-denomination personally. I like those the best. No offense to any of the rest of the denominations. Those are my preferences. Either way I'm going to start my church hunting tomorrow. Hopefully I'll find the right one God wants me to be at soon.
 
I have suggested at the church I attend that we need to do some things I listed and they were resistant to it. They were like we already have a men's group, but we don't meet that often. I asked why. They had no response. I suggested a mentor program. They said we have a men's group that meets up every so often. So I've tried to get something done or started. I even told them I can sing they didn't invite me to join the praise and worship group. I asked about outreach but I have yet to hear when they do those things. So all in all the church I was attending seemed to have everything but in reality they do not. So I will begin my search tomorrow.

You won't find a perfect church, but hopefully you will set a good example for the church you choose.
 
I'm going to be checking out a new church tomorrow. It holds services on Saturdays but they have some things going on tomorrow. Never been to a church like this so mainly going out of curiosity, you never know :)
