Angie's A/C has been out since yesterday afternoon. Angie lives in Texas. It is a hot day for Angie.
Reece understand's Angie's situation. Reece feels compassion, and sends condolences for Angie's plight. Reece still thinks Angie is cool, despite being so hot. Reece understands the different ways that can be taken, but is more amused than anything else toward that fact.

My mom rents a house in another town and the AC broke. We had to buy a new one and it only costed $1,700. Now, that seems like a lot of money, but I had read online that it was going to be about $6,000. So when the guy told us the price, we were pretty grateful.:)

I guess that $6,000 is the national average? I've heard that Texas is a cheap state to live in, except for Austin of course!
I'm confused as to why your mother is responsible for replacing the AC in a home that she is renting. Most commonly the landlord is responsible for that sort of maintenance cost. Or am I misreading and your mother IS the landlord.

Am I the only one here who gets frustrated when people tell someone outright to not look for a mate and just focus on god, pray and wait? Has anyone else noticed that there is a shortage of threads where someone simply prayed and waited and found the love of their life without even trying to look for someone?? Yeaaa.. just sayin.
I'm coming to be of the opinion that no one who is not already following that advice should be allowed to give it. And even then, someone should have more than one bad lonely day close together before they get that kind of advice thrown at them.

Now my random thought for the day, have you ever noticed that it's when bad things happen that you become more aware of God's protection. I had a tire probably blow out today but it happened while I was inside at work and not on my 40 minute commute up the interstate to work. So had the pain and expense of getting new tires, but mostly I'm just glad not to have ended up stranded or injured by having serious car problems while driving 70+mph. And yeah something about the kindness of strangers (though I still don't play the role of damsel in distress very well).

In other news my new computer is mostly alive. At least it can boot into BIOS and now I just need to wait for the OS disk to come.

For real! I took a trip up to east TN a few weeks ago. Drove here, drove there, then drove the long way home. Parked the minivan at home... and the next time I cranked it something on the serpentine belt went CHUNK! and kept the motor from cranking. At least I sure hope it's the water pump or alternator, I sure don't want it to be the motor itself locked up.

But I sure am glad it didn't pull this junk when I was up in east TN.

When you go to YouTube to watch a gaming vid and end up watching owners reunited with dogs, meeting parents for the first time, and kids asking step dads to adopt them... how did I get here? I don't understand. I didn't sign up for this feels trip. lol

I was in texas once. It was like walking in an oven..
I couldn't survive there. The last time I went, I went to visit someone in South Padre... All I remember is trying to run in the morning and nearly passing out from the humidity, and being harassed by mosquitoes while trying to play mini golf -_-. We had to go buy repellent next door just to finish the course. I haven't been back since lol.

This is why I am a hermit who lives indoors. Most of my hobbies are done inside. lol :p

Sorry, I guess I didn't know how to word it correctly. By renting a home in another town, what I meant was that it's my mom's house, but she rents it out. So yes, she is the landlord. :)

In Bama the cops will just be asking you how you were able to make it look like a real gun:p
Ah
I think in Norway you'd get arrested for bringing something that resembles a real weapon in a public place

And probably get shot in the process. On a serious note, though, most people carrying a thing like that would be facing some questions in Bama as well, but some places, some folks, and some cops, would have a laugh about it...don't know what smiley to insert here...lol

Norwegian police don't carry firearms unless there is something special going on, so no, I don't think one would get shot.
They are starting to get nervous with all the terror though, so maybe they will eventually be permanently armed.

Either way, I'm not going to try and make nervous people more nervous :p
I wonder what they'd do about my gang of word wielders though

Why is it that you can be a great driver when you're on your own, but then as soon as you have passengers, your driving skills go out the window?

I cant live in Arizona, ever again... I can handle the humidity, it's the dry heat that gets to me. Plus... Who wants to live in the flipping desert their whole lives anyways?

Parts of Texas ain't so bad, the further south you go.. The more humid it gets, the further NORTH you go... It's not that bad. That's where I lived... Sigh....

Sometimes I miss Texas.. ❤️
