Sure, putting on the new man in Christ is like putting on Jesus Christ, and we know Jesus Christ is not a sinner. So it should be obvious that walking in the way Jesus walked =in holiness and in righteousness should also be the way a born again Christian should walk. And using the language in John 2:29 referring to what it looks like to abide in Him and be born of Him, we get confirmation of what it also looks like for those who are born of God here.....

1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1 John 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.
Thanks! Amen:)

I do not believe we would remain obedient to sin and free from righteoussness but rather made free from sin and made obedient to righteousness (Romans 6:20). The Son making free pertains to just that.

Which even agrees in the "while we were yet sinners Christ died for us (Romans 5:8) God commending his love toward us (in Christ) while yet without strength.

Christ hated both iniquity and loved righteousness (Heb 1:9) and who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works (Titus 2:14)

The charge against him in eating with sinners was one against who he come for really

Psalm 25:8
Good and upright is
the LORD:
therefore will he teach sinners in the way.

And while we were yet

Romans 5:8
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that,
while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

And surely we know Jesus Christ is not a minister of sin. He would not teach continuance in the same

(d:) as it is written
:read:
3 Juan: 1. 2. Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3. For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
4. I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth.
5. Beloved, thou doest faithfully whatsoever thou doest to the brethren, and to strangers;

That is another good example of abiding in Christ, the very Word of Truth. John spoke of the truth being in them, which is Christ in them, the very Word of Life and Truth. So walking in the Truth is walking in the Way God's words tell us we should walk. Also abiding in the Truth is abiding in the words, sayings, and commands of Jesus, as the apostles also taught.

Also anything that opposes and teaches contrary to the Truth, is not of the Truth, but is of the lie. And we know that no lie is of the Truth. So just as sin has no place in Christ, neither does the lie have a place in the Truth. The true worshippers of God shall worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

It stops short though of what he is talking about in John

Verse 6

the apostles,
they were preaching salvation, to all that would believe. the big problem was law and a temple of stone.
they rejected jesus in favor of the law given to them by moses. ( the jewish ) even paul wrote in gal 5.

grace a gift.

11 This Jesus is the stone that was rejected by you, the builders, which has become the cornerstone.12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."Acts 4:

being saved by a saviour, has nothing to do with a law. it is a choice. so why are you looking at law.

is effectively, putting jesus back on the cross. ( to keep it short).

Walking in the truth is walking in love

1 John 3:18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

1 John 3:19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before him.

Theres the other, moreso in deed and in truth less in word and tongue

What are you going on about?

What law and which verse are you having a problem with?

Luke 20:17 And he beheld them, and said, What is this then that is written,
The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner?

Luke 20:18
Whosoever shall fall upon that stone shall be broken;
but on whomsoever
it shall fall, it will grind him to powder.

Luke 20:19
And the chief priests and the scribes the same hour sought to lay hands on him;
and they feared the people:
for they perceived that he had spoken this parable against them.

1 Peter 2:7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious:
but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed,
the same is made the head of the corner,

the truth is we are saved by grace through faith for good works. not saved by faith through good works to receive grace. this is what seems to be being implied here.

oh, and there are no sinless people on planet Earth right now. the ones who imply or say it are liars, which makes them sinners.

Here also, it was a witness of thier love

Col 1:8 Who also declared unto us your love in the Spirit.

That was worth praying for the spiritual things to manifest

Col 1:9
For this cause we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding;

It all goes back to walking in the Light of the Truth....

1 John 5 "[SUP] [/SUP]This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.[SUP]6 [/SUP]If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
[SUP]7 [/SUP]But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin."

So as long as you abide in the Light of the Truth, you also abide in Christ.

Where does he say these things you say?

And the works are by grace, as Paul said I labour yet not I but the grace of God with me.

As it is by faith we have access into the grace by which we stand and labour.

Yeah shows doing the truth is loving less in word and tongue but moreso in deed and in truth (that way) same with walking in light (which is love/life) and or darkness (which is hate/death) they are used interchangly.

1 John 2:9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.

1 John 2:10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.

1 John 2:11 But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.

very simple. anytime anyone says or implies that we are saved or kept saved by works, that flies in the face of the Biblical method of grace-faith-works, in that order

and anyone who says they do not sin is lying. these are simple Biblical truths. ya'll can accept them or not, I will not say anything else. i'm done having these fantasy world arguments.
