We should be like Jesus, and He wore designer clothes.
Why do you think they cast lots for His clothes? ?.
You treat His Grace like an On - Off switch and that is not what scripture teaches.
I really pray you spend sometime learning about His grace you will be glad you did
when the prodigal returned home, one of the first things His father did was to clothe Him with the best robe. we come to Jesus in crimson rags, he gives us a garment clean and new and beautoiful......we come to him in our sin, he clothes us in righteousness. he loves the worst of sinners, he longs for them to repent and come home as did the prodigal. who came and confessed all his sin and opleaded for mercy. Gods Love reached to calvary was shown at the cross and in the tomb. God does love the filthiest of sinners, its about who will Love God in return
john 14:15-24 "15“If you love me, keep my commands. 16And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever— the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will bein you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see me anymore, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you. Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.”
Then Judas (not Judas Iscariot) said, “But, Lord, why do you intend to show yourself to us and not to the world?”
Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them. Anyone who does not love me will not obey my teaching. These words you hear are not my own; they belong to the Father who sent me."
who will see jesus? who will God come and live with? who will receive the spirit of truth? what dopes jesus say clearly here??? obedience to the teachings of Jesus is connected to all of this all of it. heres the thing ; God loves us at our worst so much he sent His only son to be mocked, spit on, suffer every indignity, be beaten, whipped made a spectacle of scorn and shame, and nailed to a cold wooden cross and held up for all to look upon, he loves us that much to offer us a new life even though we threw the old one away. we were dead headed to hell with no hope and He loved us enough to provide the way and truth and life..........the equator? does that mean enough to me that I will give my life to Jesus by laying down my own will and serving His will. do I love Jesus who loved me far more and better.......to refuse His teachings is to refuse Him
So said the Pharisees. Our love and respect for Jesus, Is shown in our dress code.
I have said this many times and I have heard over a hundred grace believers say the exact same thing.
Grace is not a license to sin nor does it allow us to live in the same place we were at when we came to the Lord. Grace teaches us to live godly in this life. I have quoted Titus 2:11-12 most likely over 100x times and I have seen multitudes of others quote it as well.
This is where some people keep saying the complete opposite of what we say and they slanderously say that we say it is ok to sin all we want because of grace. It's time to show some Christian integrity and at least quote us correctly.
I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son
of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.
It is an on off switch. If your faith is based on the work of the cross then it's on, if your faith gets switched to what you do then it's off. Doesn't mean that He leaves you, He will beckon you to return, but, He will not override your will.
The grace or hyper grace message was derived from Christians that truly love God, but found themselves committing sins and could not stop, so they found scriptures in their favor and ultimately said if, I sin it's okay because I been forgiven and born again. Which is a valid dilemma. However, that is not the case. Self righteousness is a slippery, deceitful snake and anytime we look at what we do as a form of righteousness the Holy Spirit backs off as He only works in the parameters of the cross. Meaning if our faith gets shifted from what Christ did on the cross then we are no longer protected (no grace) and we can be bound once again by sin. Grace is unmerited favor and not freedom, meaning it is favor that we do not deserve nor can be gained, only by faith in the work of the Cross and nothing else.
When we find our self failing it is mainly because our faith has shifted and it's an easy thing to do and rather than provide the remedy we say well we have grace.
yep, you can always tell a false teacher when they say things like " God cares how we dress" or " Jesus wore designer clothes". these are tell - tale signs.
So said the Pharisees.
matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
to believe in the name of Jesus is to believe He is Gods son, our savior, our teacher our lord and so much more it isn't to just say Jesus exists. satan knows Jesus exists, knows who he is.....but he doesn't "believe" in Jesus. if he velieved in Jesus he would absolutely take Jesus words as the truth. as would any true believer. if I believe in Jesus I believe His words that say clearly " its about doing what I'm telling you to do, the right things, the right way in Gods eyes. Love one another truly from the heart with actions. the actions I am teaching you to do. sincere belief will always be bound to action. jesus says here it is not saying he is lord that saves, but obeying Gods will. pretty clear statement that should be taken WITH the one you offered. and concluded true belief is what is being spoken of. and true belief is validated by action
WRONG, The false grace teacher say you can dress as scruffy as you want to, because grace covers all our bad habits.
Just look at JP, and see what a long hair scruffy dresser he is, He wouldn't even get into some night clubs, Never mind behind a pulpit.
But his attitude is, I can do what I want, because grace covers all my sins.
He said, when I sin, I'm blessed, because God isn't counting my sins against me, All my sins, Past present and future, have already been forgiven.
That's the false grace teaching, The end time heresy that deceives the Church.
The false grace teachers are just like the Catholics, Their teachings say one thing, but when they are challenged, they say,
"We're not saying that".
The false grace teaching is, You can live however you want to, because grace covers all our sins, But when challenged, you say, We're not saying that.
matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent."matthew 7:21 "Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."
The Pharisees couldn't have claimed to love God with the Agape love of God, Because they weren't born again.
It makes on wonder.
the Pharisees, saducees and teachers of law hated Jesus from the moment he began teaching Gods kingdom. they had control of the jewish nation, self righteous, proud, above others. I find it interesting the religious leaders are those who began plotting His death, because He was speaking the truth about their sin, and their righteousness being worthless because their hearts were corrupt and evil, they didn't commit adultery, but they were full of lust and deceit, they didn't steal, but they were greedy and wouldn't care for the poor among them. they saw themselves above others their actions were right, their hearts were wrong. that's why Jesus is all about the heart. if a persons heart is made new, their actions will be in accordance with their good heart. the law was obedience because of rule, Jesus is obedience from the heart because we truly believe what he did and take it as the most important part of life, we obey to honor the price he paid for us, we don't accept it and disregard it by living on for ourselves we are not our own lord, we don't make the rules of right and wrong. we either choose right or wrong to follow after
exactly right, because the doctrine is false. I have on this site had a conversation one day with a gracegrace teacher who completely omitted all pre cross words of Jesus, 2 days later argued they never omit anything jesus said, to that I showed several scriptures of conditions placed by Jesus himself on all this and then after arguing they never omit Jesus words lol procedded to explain how the sermon on the mount uis a teaching of law to only the jews and his commands applied to them only lol to which I stated the great commission after the resurrection that instructs the disciples " go forth into all nations teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" but then........somehow that didn't apply either, because paul is the authority of the new testament lol even aboive the gospel of Jesus Christ.....
my point is simply once the doctrine takes root, they will always go in circles, pluck a single verse from paul completely out of context, avaoid what he is saying and try to make it support some conditionless salvation that requires no commitment to Jesus. it truly is a never ending circle noi matter how much truth you show tham clearly form Gods own word.......they worship the worlds grace " unwarranted favor" and just are convinced that is all the bible says. that's the danger of popular clever false teachers, once a man is convinced and a few scriptures are twisted, its hard for them to let go likje when a tree roots. then they end up arguing against so much of what Jesus taught, paul taught, james, peterm john......in favor of a few out of context single verses like romans 8:1, but....who is it that is in Christ according to scrioptures in romans 8?? it isn't just given to all of those paul is speaking about, its those who live to please the spirit, just like those who sow to please the spirit reap eternal life and those who sow to please the sinful nature reapo death. Grace is true completely, the world is misteaching it and accepting the deception that sin is not death, just like eve. the word is clear matters who believes sincerely in its truth
actual clothing doesn't matter, how someone dresses matters not, many poor cant afford nice clothes. the garment that matters is the rags of sin we come to Jesus wearing, and the garment of white that he places on us who believe, righteousness. cant judge someone on appearance gotta look at what they are saying and doing to see whether they are true or false.
