If one follows the Holy Spirit, folks would spend more time doing what God tells us to Do and less figuring out what they can and can't get away with doing and not doing.
Personally, I eat whatever is set before me with thanks to God. I cook whatever my husband ask me to cook.
with the exception of human flesh or eating animals still alive, God has not revealed that eating anything else is sin.
He makes our body able to digest certain things. As we grow older, we digest less and have to be on a stricter diet. Some people are diabetic and must eat less sugar. I know many who are allergic to certain foods. God is clear what He wants us to individually eat or not eat.
Sometimes He causes His prophets to offend Pharisees because they follow the letter of the law and have forgotten the Spirit that speaks of grace and love.
Don't be a Pharisee or hypocrite. Dont think because you follow a set of laws, you are somehow better than a drunkard or a prositute. Because God loves all His children, even while they are sinners in need of a bath.
I agree completely. My stance however, is that following the Holy Spirit should cause us to study God's Word and hear and obey. That is exactly the case with the Old Testament.
Where has God stated that eating flesh is a sin?
Please show me where I have said anything even remotely close to this. Please reference the post(s).

My statements are made in general and not directed at a specific person.
I am sure I could find anti cannabalism laws in the Bible but is it truly necessary?
As for eating things still alive....well if it is alive, it has blood in it..,,sooo those verses posted about not eating things with blood in it would apply.

The dietary laws have spiritual meanings, to eat beasts that chew the cud and have split hooves means to become and cleave to those who slowly digest and meditate on the word of God and walks in this eon but also towards the eon to come. To eat fish that have scales and fins means to become and cling to those who have their sight on things of above, as fish lacking fish and scales are in the depths of the ocean. To not eat birds such as the falcon and crow means to not become or cleave to those who steal or prey on others.

I study God's word and He says alot has been fulfilled and even in the Old testament He told His prophets to offend the religious leaders by doing things that broke the letter of the law. The prophets followed God, not just in letter but in Spirit.
Too many religious people get caught up in written laws they forget to pray and seek God's will in their lives. Instead they are Too busy working on tasks they assign themselves and have no time Or patience for those God wants them to love and tend too. Instead of love and grace, they give laws and condemnation.
God leads some to be vegetarian and others to eat meat. He says both are okay and neither should condemn the other for following what God tells them to do, be and eat.

I only asked because you seemed to say that God revealed eating human flesh was a sin.

I agree with much of what you said here, except that I can't recall a scripture where God told His prophets to break the law. Break man's additions to the law? Absolutely. But not the law itself.
God has made concessions regarding our diets, but His original diet for us was stated in Genesis 1:29. Follow that, you'll live longer, with a higher quality of health.
It's that simple.

I just see it like this: He created all things, and knows what is best for our bodies and what is not, he knows how each creature was made and how its physiology assimilates or eliminates waste, some animals were created to be cleaners of the invironment, and the retain the toxins they absorb in their tissues, if we consume these animals..... anyway for me its a matter of trusting Him, as I see it there is a reason for the difference between clean and unclean animals, even Noah knew the difference and made special prevision for it.... its not about Mosaic law its about what is food and what is not.
Without a doubt, consistently eating animal flesh is unhealthy, and I believe that it could rightly be considered immoral in some cases.

Like if a person is living in a environment that provides enough food from vegan sources.

Under the law, what a man ate or touched had a bearing on his soul because his soul was attached to his outer body. Not so after the resurrection of Christ for the believer. The believer's soul has been spiritually circumcised from his body, a circumcision made without hands.
Colossians 2

We only have a moral obligation to abstain from eating or drinking certain foods if it is an offense to those we are trying to reach with the gospel. If I am out with a catholic friend on a Friday I should become "as" a catholic and order the fish. If out with a Jew friend, become "as" a Jew and don't order the pork sandwich with a side of bacon.
I am living in an environment that would more than sustain my life from just vegan sources. I could easily survive without meat. So then, you think my eating meat is one of those immoral cases. It's okay that you think this about me. It doesn't make me mad. I wub you! I would be very willing to look into what verses you have been given to arrive at this conclusion that I am doing something immoral.
I have heard that reasoning before. Their is a grain of truth in that in the spirit of it.
But it does not address my statements nor negate them.
