Well, if that guy's a heretic hunter, I'm gonna read more of his stuff, 'cause when he he caught Joseph Prince, He bagged a big'un, LOL!
I have no problem with heretic hunters, however the first rule of being a good heretic hunter is to not be one yourself or to align yourself with any. This guy does not meet the rule.

Don't give me that hyphenated-Christian nonsense when referring to me or those of us who embrace God's grace. I've literally been Christian and glorifying God for His loving, saving grace since before you were born.

I'm a hospice chaplain sharing God's comforting words with the multitudes who are at death's door. I'm in the trenches hugging people who just threw up all over themselves. What are all you pious, self righteous chest thumpers doing 40+ hours a week? Do tell! I'm all ears; and infinitely more importantly, so is God.

Utah can I ask you do you confess that Jesus is Lord?

if you do then you should be careful what you label His words " why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not do what I say?" " it is not those who call me Lord who will be saved, but only those who do the will of God" that's 2 small examples. you may label Jesus clear words meant for everyone as spoken by the commission to His followers. paul teaches it this way" you are slaves to the one you obey ehther its righteousness= eternal life or sin=death. grace is true, it is found in the gospel, Jesus is full of Grace. so is paul, but just Like Jesus, obedience essential, repentance essential nothing is ever omitted, grace gives you a choice and already made you forgiven and new......now its " obey the gospel" or else. " blood of animals v the blood of Jesus" God will not be pleased with those who reject His Sons authority, that's why the entire Bible testifies of Him. believe doctrines and new ideas at your own perils, Jesus is tried and eternally true and the only way to the Father, He is Grace, his words are filled with it, never would God offer Grace that does not bring with it obedience to His commands

romans 1:5"Through him we received grace and apostleship to call all the Gentiles to the obedience that comes from faith for his name's sake."

spin all the wheels you wish, obedience is a condition, that is a result of the true Grace that Loves obedience and presses towards it and yeah, sticks with the Lord Word rather than makes a new way for salvation, and remove the name Jesus and call it " the gospel of grace"

naw Utah, that's not a problem cause Jesus says obey, and grace says no need for obedience, in fact, obedience is work. its self righteous, its pride to do what God says CLearly to do lol these circles are exhausting ill let you have the last word, peace to you, and true Grace may it flood your spirit through your conscience that knows Jesus is Lord

as if Grace incudes omiiting Jesus commands lol if grace includes ignoring the Lord, a kindergarden lesson would be WRONG. " "Why do you call me Lord Lord and do not do what I say?"
If a person is preaching the whole truth in the gospel message by the Spirit of Christ, they will be hated by those who are still of the world, just as Jesus said.

John 7:7
The world cannot hate you; but me it hateth, because I testify of it, that the works thereof are evil.

John 15:18
If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

John 15:19
If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

and if a person would use verses in context, and not just pluck out and string together, they would be properly using the Word of God.

followjesus,

I do agree with some of what you state here and I want you to know that.

Sadly, there are some contemporary teachers that do not teach grace in a responsible biblical way, there are many teachers/preachers who may eventually do great harm because they teach by omission or they stress some parts with little catch phrases and do not teach on other parts. Some scriptures are reinterpreted to fit the new paradigm of grace.

There is a general lack of discernment among Christians today, maybe it has always been this way, I am not sure, I stay away from Churchianity as I may have to stay away form this message board soon.

The thing that is worrisome is if a grace teacher (who may indeed be a wolf among the sheep) and has a huge following becomes embroiled in a scandal as we have seen so many times in the past, it does great harm to our witness and testimony.

Not all grace teachers omit and twist.

If you have any interest I think this is a very balanced place to visit, not endorsing it, but it is one place that is definitely straightforward and simple.
I might add that also, some who teach of Gods' grace have their words twisted up in the mind of the one listening because they run off with one part of the teaching and don't listen more to obtain a balance. It's often necessary to maintain more than one thought in our mind at a time - the one someone is saying and the one they aren't saying, which we know to be the tension to the one they ARE saying. I actually HAVE seen people listen to a teacher I really like and learn from and then go around saying stuff like...it doesn't matter if I sin - I'm under grace, when that wasn't the total teaching at ALL.

We are quite capable of hearing only the part of what someone says that we WANT to hear. If someone says something that seems to disturb me, I will listen even more carefully to what they are saying than if they didn't disturb me. Because a good teacher will usually be fully aware that there may be some disturbance and they address it at some point in their teaching. :)

to address why I do not post a lot of verses, here is my reasoning: Scripture does not contradict Scripture. I do not play the using verses to refute other verses, because they compliment, not contradict. that is an endless merry-go-round that I just do not get on. ( this is to, but not as bad as the other.)

you see people. here is what drives these threads, certain people see themselves as sinless, and righteous, and thereby think it is o.k. to look down on. and cast stones at other people. all this is pride. pride. pride. " look at what a good Christian I am, everyone needs to be like me. " this is their mindset. no humility, no thankfulness or glory to God through Christ , it's all about me, what I do, what I don't do, etc.....

earlier today, a person accused me of never adding anything edifing to there posts. I posted John 3-16, and reminded this person that they are not sinless. and was told that was not edifing. there is a prideful mindset.

the gospel of grace is what claims "were sinless" " were above the law" " obedience to God" is not necessary to be saved" were already perfectin his eyes" he doesn't see my actions now" " if I'm acting in a sin, I'm still not sinning" God doesn't care" " the flesh profits nothing" ect...ect...ect... then they say someone talking about obeying God or else, is claiming they themselves are sinless, when their doctrine is built on an idea that they are sinless in Gods eyes and don't need to listen to Him anymore, because all he says is believe. well what do we believe if we say what he teaches us isn't necessary? a false doctrine is not something that should be allowed. God will keep His warnings in His word, He does not Lie. people need reverence and urgency for Christ. we don't sit in a lazy boy and say hes Lord, we say Hes Lord by doing His will. don't have to be perfect, have to follow where He leads. theres plenty of Grace and forgiveness available in Jesus, there is alsoi obedience and truth plenty of it

theres a difference between "edification" and " what I don't want to hear, that is very much true" that's the time to say " oh its in Gods word, its clear and plain, let me correct my thinking now"

that's why the grace alone doctrine isn't right, theres too much about obeying God. too much about judgement day. to make it conditionless , you have to erase all of the things we perceive as negative.

Here is Romans 10:5-21

To the right of each Romans verse is from where verses are pulled from and strung together, Paul wasnt showing what was improper by doing so.

God demonstrates his own love for us in this:
While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Jason I am sorry for the way I spoke to you this morning :(

Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior. With respect to all but apologies to no one, I proclaim the saving grace of Jesus Christ alone. Now what, pray tell, am I not doing according to Jesus Christ? I'm al ears.

: Scripture does not contradict Scripture.
I agree, but many people try to build false doctrine by trying to misrepresent select verses of scripture, while totally ignoring or omitting others which will prove their misrepresentation of scripture as false. That is why it is important to know every word of God on a subject before being misled by others false interpretations and misguided conclusions.

That's quite a litany of charges you just leveled against the Apostle Paul. I'll gladly take my place alongside Paul as another who testifies of the gospel of grace....

"But I do not consider my life of any account as dear to myself, so that I may finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify solemnly of the gospel of the grace of God." Acts 20:24
