So I am a member of one of those Christian dating sites. I went fishing around last night on it last Friday. I must of sent out at least 20 short emails. Found some potential people I would like to date. The normal thing, send a short message and a smile. I am starting to wonder if their is a actual real person out there or they took my money lol. Why? Because Its been a while since I logged in. At lunch I go in and look. 25 views 0 emails. I am think oh its probably new people... no. I just found it entertaining. People were looking at me because I laughing hysterics at my laptop..... Im Ugly :(

I have no idea what you look like, but you know what I find appealing? Someone who takes humorous photos for their profile. I don't do on-line dating anymore but when I did, one that stood out to me was a guy who posted a photo of his head sticking out of a field full of tulips. It was just so refreshing and funny. I think women value humor as much, if not more than, outward looks. That isn't even mentioning integrity, humility, kindness and compassion. Hope it works out for you!

I took your advice and changed out a few pictures. I looked over the current arrangement and it was too stiff and professional. Thanks!!

Sounds similar to me and how I am with these kind of sites. Online dating can really rarely work cos of the other person and they have a life, and they might be dating other guys and stuff behind your back. Just not worth it, relationships suck

Unfortunately online dating is so complicated. I hear that MOST people (men and women) lie on their profiles - even Christians. I have NEVER lied.
IMO Most people place too much emphasis on the pictures you post. To get away from those judgements, they need to be as neutral as possible: no selfies taken in the bathroom, limit your hunting/fishing pics, pics with your children, doing your favorite hobby, wear something presentable and flattering (no wife beater undershirts or baggy non flattering clothes).

I could go on, but won't there are so many places to get advice on what to do/not do on online dating sites.

Bro I am a Healthcare professional. I have not lived with my Maamy since I was 16. I guess the three dates I had this past weekend were my Imagination. Definitely no lack of the social. Meeting people at the Gym, Church, Local establishments. I have a date set up for Sat and Sun. So neh neh lol :p

Idk how to online date. I guess it works if they live close. I would probably post the most ridiculous, unflattering pictures just to make sure they were really interested lol.

That is also what I thought this thread was going to be about (I mean "aboot").

Maybe us Canadians should start our own Dating site - we will call it "Cana-Date"

And to ensure that only Canadians join, we will build a wall around the website to keep Americans out (sorry, I had to throw a "Trump" joke in there somewhere!!!).

Open to gals who want to escape the US? I'm sure there will be some candi-dates (not to be confused with candy dates; those don't happen until at least the third... or with candied dates; too sweet).

There was a Canadian guy on the TV show, The Bachelorette this year. When they show the guy on camera they'll post his name and what he does for work underneath. His just said , Evan, Canadian. So his name is Evan and his job is being a Canadian.
