Forces cause discipline.

The planets are in incredible discipline.

Forces keep the discipline in the planets.

We are disciplined directly and indirectly. But ,like the earthly family, the FATHER disciplines the children.
He can say "no,no don't touch ,hot" a million times . Then finally,"go ahead and see for yourself"

To remove discipline is to make God a non loving God.

A friend loves you in spite of your faults

A coach loves you too much to not address them.

A FATHER loves you too much to leave you like you were.
Jesus is our friend.

CC ; "therefore he can not discipline us"

Just so I am not continually guessing, would one of you define what this "LOF" you keep batting back and forth is?

MY VERSES?!

Ahem. God's Word.

I didn't mention anything about the LOF, but if you think the cross was only about Romans and Jews judgment you're sadly mistaken.

The sinless Son of God took our sin upon Himself and the penalty WE deserved was poured out on Him. By God. Read Isaiah 53 again.
Yes sin was placed upon him.

that is correct.

And by "your verses",I was implying verses from the bible in YOUR POST. You actually need that clarification?

Paul's thorn in the flesh does not look like judgment to me. It is a messenger of satan to beat at him because of Paul's revelations that were given to him.

God didn't send the devil's messenger to judge Paul for something that He - God Himself gave to Paul. That's just religious nonsense.

God doesn't give people "revelations" of Christ and then judge them for having them. That's crazy.

2 Corinthians 12:7-9 (NASB)
[SUP]7 [/SUP] Because of the surpassing greatness of the revelations, for this reason, to keep me from exalting myself, there was given me a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of Satan to torment me—to keep me from exalting myself!

[SUP]8 [/SUP] Concerning this I implored the Lord three times that it might leave me.

[SUP]9 [/SUP] And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness." Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

God simply used the messenger of satan - that satan sent on Paul to encourage Paul to rely completely on the grace of Christ in his life and not in his flesh or what he had done or has been revealed to him.

We see outside forces working for Paul's betterment.

Indirectly disciplining.

All that has nothing to do with satan sending a messenger to beat up on Paul.

Of course the Lord disciplines us! Did someone say that He doesn't? The Greek word for "discipline" is "child-training" and it is a loving sign of His love for us.

If we want to see "how" our loving Father disciplines us - look to Jesus while He was on this earth.

Jesus is perfect theology.

Jesus aid "No one knows My Father, but the Son"

Hebrews 1:3 says that Jesus is the exact image and representation of the nature of the Father.

If we want to see how the Father will discipline us - look to see how Jesus treated His disciples while He was on this earth. He disciplined them with His words. - not putting destructive things on them to teach them things. That's ungodly and not like our Father and Jesus showed us the real Father when He came.

He can use the mess that we have made to reveal His love and grace to us but He is not the author of bringing destruction to His children.

Jesus never sent satan to beat them up to "teach them things". Jesus never said 'You must have a sickness so that you can learn things". Jesus never said " You must have destruction come to you in order for you to learn from the Father." He said the complete opposite.

28 But let a man examine himself, and so let him eat of that bread, and drink of that cup.
29 For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body.
30 For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep.
31 For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.

32 But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

Well, why not take my verses one at a time and tell me how they do not apply.

I think he means that all of the torture Jesus went through was not God "punishing" him.

It was the Romans.... sinful man that killed Jesus.
OK,yes, that is what I am saying, but the reason is because he was sinless.

Now,I have just discovered a verse that might make this deal a little complicated. Not really but we got a way of doing just that.

They say theologians were invented to complicate the word.

Of course not. But there was judgement for our sins that were placed upon Him. And the verdict was guilty, and the sentence was death.

This has nothing to do with how we are disciplined by the Lord. I don't really know what you are getting at as you are all over the place.

The word "judged" here simply means to "decide between".."distinguish"..."determine"...This means to "determine and to decide between" what is right in this situation in 1 Cor. 11.

"Condemned" here is not the same word used as in Romans 8:1 - there is no condemnation to those that are in Christ Jesus.

The "chastening" is the word for child-training again which is for corrective purposes not for punishment as the world will receive for not receiving Christ.
