There is also the important point to consider..... IF a frog had wings, he wouldn't bump his butt.

In 99% of the cases, it does seem to come down to simply complying. But arrogance and pride just won't let some people do that.
Spot on accurate once again.

And if this unstable woman went home and offed herself you'd still be blaming the po po for her death.
Nope... this young lady made a foolish decision and it cost her her life. There are police officers who abuse their Authority and there are police officers who have no remorse for taking a human life. This particular officer was not one of them.

Here's why we keep butting heads on this issue. You assume i hate all cops, when I only want to see the bad ones held accountable. Also you believe cops are above the law and are Beyond accountability

My own preacher had the audacity to stand in the pulpit and say that we shouldn't be telling people they have to comply... that police officers (who are just human like the rest of us) should deal with all people equally, no matter how they choose to act.

I am considering finding another church.

I think it is more because you tend to automatically put all black people on a pedestal... assuming they couldn't possibly be acting like idiots, and almost begging for negative responses.

There really aren't that many. The media never reports on hero or feel good stories by the cops. They report on stories like these, sensationalizing, twisting, manipulating, and talking about them non stop for their agenda. There's a reason why the media is called the fourth branch of the US government, because they are that powerful. The more a person talks, the more it feels like this kind of stuff goes on and on. Are there bad apples? Sure. Absolutely. But that's 1 percent of the population. Maybe even less.

I have posted in the other shooting threads and no I didn't agree with the actions of THOSE officers in THOSE shootings. However, in this case, I don't believe the police used excessive force. She put her life and the life of her 5 year old who was also shot in danger by pointing a gun at police. If she was mentally unstable, someone ( family, friends etc.) should have stepped in long before this incident. I feel for the child, thank God he was not killed.

As followers of the Lord Jesus Christ we ought not to make excuse for sin by laying the blame for sin on something other than sin; but should refer to sin for what it is sin! The refusing to show identity was sin, and pointing a fire arm at authorities was sin, and holding the child while doing it was sin: sin was just proceeding from sin to sin, and except we own our own sin we shall not receive remission of sin: beside that God has made it abundantly clear by His Word that there is consequence for sin. If a person were actually irrational and delusional or were unstable, then that person would not know to refuse to cooperate, and would not have the idea to threaten with deadly force: but if the person put their trust into the hands and power of sin, then that person would do such things. Again, we should not make excuse for sin, especially in a world with its current state of denial of sin.

Note: We must needs know that sin is what is irrational, and sins is what is delusional, and it is sin that is unstable: and a person shall either put their trust into the hands and power of sin; or else they shall put their trust into the hands and power of God; but a person can never trust both sin and God.
