I am sorry if I have offended you. I don't think this conversation is getting anywhere, so I will withdraw from it

God Bless
I'm not offended by it. I'm just a little puzzled how people can think that forever is somehow nullified under the new covenant. We must obey it. Those verses in Jeremiah are for the spiritual listener. Spiritual Israel lacks faith. They are under the law. These are the people that focus on Saturday vs Sunday or of what to eat and what not.The others listed that are in the wilderness has faith, but in one way or another worship the creation over the Creator. In both cases, faith without works is dead! Not works of the flesh which end result is wrath, but works of the spirit. Please put away ALL images. There is no Muslim, or Jew or Christian. We ALL are one in the body of Christ by the SPIRIT.

May the Most High bless you as well friend

Exactly! By the letter of the law, we are not to worry about any day. Saturday, sunday, or otherwise is but a shadow of things to come. But God said:

Exodus 31:15-17

Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.

16Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

This is forever to a God that does not change! Obeying the Sabbath is just as important as the other nine. This is not refering to one of our particular days, which is the image. This is referring to HIS day in the spirit. We must rest from our works!
Our works as in living for our flesh. It doesn't mean literal doings. As in walking to far and such. If it was that then going to church would be breaking the sabbath. Whenever we receive the Holy Ghost we are at rest from our own works. Our carnal selves. We were crucified with Christ

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

It is not our lives we live anymore, we surrendered OUR WORKS (will, life) and we live in Christ as he does in us.

Heb 4:10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

Many think that is what you mean though. That is the way it comes off when you say it.

I don't argue that. Nor am I arguing of the letter of the law. But we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

The 10 commandments are the laws written in our hearts. Thery are spiritual and forever. I don't need a book to tell me that to take something that doesn't belong to me is wrong. I don't need anyone to tell me that to murder is wrong. It's already in me to know. And this is the spirit law of God. Now it's truly amazing that the only commandment of the ten specifically told to us to keep perpetually; FOREVER, is the one we are so rebellious to keep! To be guilty of one is to be guilty of them all!

Isaiah 66:17

They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.

We are purified by the blood of Jesus. We are sanctified by God. How do we know that it is the living God that sanctifies us?

Exodus 31:13

Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you.
god does not say that you are carnal, but that you were carnal.

now you are spiritual, born again of the holy spirit.

Can you give me the scripture verse that actually says that it is the Ten Commandments that are specifically written on our hearts?

By writing His laws on our hearts(the ones that matters to God,) it simply means that we in our hearts want to live as God would have us live. This does not mean a certain list of commandments or laws are ingrained in our heads. In such circumstances we do not need the written law. We are free to live by faith in Christ which is our one and only righteousness.
the law that god writes on our hearts is not a law at all, but love even as god loves.

law is against acts which are evil. love is never evil, but is always good, just as god is good.

I think many of us are getting at the same point, but from different approaches.

I believe that quote from revelation is concerning Jesus commandments.

A rich young man asked Jesus which specific commandments must be kept to gain eternal life. Jesus did not mewntion keeping the Sabbath when he replied. The man said he had kept the commandments Jesus mentioned.
He replied.

If you want to be perfect. Go sell your possessions and give to the poor and you will have treasure in Heaven, and come follow me.
Was Jesus mistaken?
the commandments of jesus as given by john in 1st john are to believe in him that was sent and to love one another.

I'm refering to the the day of rest on the saturday, technically you can't keep it unless you follow it. I'm no trying to convict anyone of anything, i'm just simply asking why don't we?
We are not Jewish people and we changed our day of worship to sunday because of Christ's resurrection on sunday :)

Why don't we keep the Sabbath anymore? Simple question really.
Simple question, complex answer, I think.

The Sabbath was made for our own benefit—isn’t this what Jesus said? Jesus continued to work on the Sabbath because there were things that needed to be done.

My own take is that we all need to take a day off each week to rest. It can be any day of the week.

We still keep the sabbath but in the New Testament it is a spiritual sabbath.

The Old Testament sabbath is a physical sabbath for the Jews to take a rest. The New Testament sabbath is a spiritual sabbath and it is a spiritual rest.

When you have the Holy Spirit you are keeping the sabbath by receiving that spiritual rest.

The Old Testament sabbath was only given to the Jews.

The Bible says that which is first is natural and then spiritual.First a physical sabbath then a spiritual sabbath.

11For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people.
12To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear(Isaiah 28:11-12).

In the New Testament it is spiritual sabbath and is a spiritual rest replacing the physical sabbath and the physical rest that was given to the Jews.

14Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ(Colossians 2:14-17).

The Bible says that Jesus took the ordinances of Israel and nailed them to His cross taking them out of the way.
That is because those were physical ordinances that were given until Christ came and then it is spiritual.
Those ordinances could not save people until Christ came and gave us spiritual salvation. Those ordinances kept them right with God but could not give them spiritual salvation. When Christ came then their soul went to heaven that were right in the Old Testament.

Jesus took the physical ordinances out of the way and that is why the Bible says let no man judge you concerning the physical ordinances including the sabbath days which means they cannot tell you to keep the ordinances of Israel.
We do not go by the physical ordinances of Israel including the sabbath days but we always have to obey God's moral laws which the 10 commandments are moral laws so we have to always obey God's 10 commandments. You obey the commandment of keeping the sabbath by receiving the Holy Spirit.

Let no man judge you means they cannot tell you to keep the ordinances of Israel including the sabbath days which is a shadow of things to come but the body is of Christ. When you have the Spirit of Christ you are part of the body of Christ and it is now a spiritual sabbath.

The Bible says we do not void out the law but we establish the law.
We still have to keep the law but in the Old Testament they could not do it because they could not receive the Spirit to overcome the flesh completely.
In the New Testament we can receive the Spirit where we can overcome the flesh and keep the law in which the law of keeping the sabbath is a spiritual rest.

The Bible says if you are led of the Spirit you are not under the law. This does not mean that you do not have to obey the law for we must always obey God's moral laws.
A Spirit led life will not sin.You are not under the law if you are led by the Spirit because you are not sinning therefore the law cannot touch you for prosecution.
When we receive the Spirit we still have to keep God's moral laws which we can do by the Spirit where in the Old Testament they could not keep the law because they did not have the Spirit.

Jesus said He went to prepare a place for us which is spiritual. The Jews celebrated the making of this earth which is natural by a physical sabbath. We celebrate the making of the place that Jesus made which is spiritual by a spiritual sabbath.

God said enter in to my rest.
In the Old Testament they went by a physical sabbath. In the New Testament we go by a spiritual sabbath.
When you receive the Holy Spirit then you obey the moral law of keeping the sabbath and it is a spiritual sabbath.

very strange understanding.

you cannot tell if someone is spiritual or not by whether they keep the law. in fact, jesus said that those who are born of the spirit are like the wind, which you can feel as it passes, but you do not know where it came from, nor where it is going. when jesus walked this world, the best experts in the law found fault with him continually.

Since we always have to obey God's moral laws which we can do by the Spirit and we don't go by a physical rest sabbath then we must have to keep a spiritual sabbath which would be when we receive the Spirit.

Again, you make it seem like it's ok to steal. The 10 commandments are not for the children of Israel. Was Cain an Israelite when he murdered Abel? This law was neither written or spoken but Cain was punished to show that these laws are spiritual. It is these moral laws that are summed up in love.

The Bible says that the Jews had an advantage over the other nations because they were given the words of God to know God's ways. They were supposed to be a beacon of light for all people.

God gave the Jews the 10 commandments which are moral laws. When Jesus came He said keep the 10 commandments. The other laws were ordianances that would be done away with when Jessus came. Those include the physical ordinances like meats and drinks, sabbath days and holy days.Jesus did not take the 10 commandments out of the way.

16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Jesus never took the 10 commandments out of the way only the physical ordinances of Israel out of the way.We always have to obey God's moral laws. The Bible says we do not do away with the law but we establish it.

What was the new commandment?
jesus said, a new commandment i give you, that you love one another, just as i have loved you.

oddly enough, just as the 10 commandments were given 3 times, so jesus gave his new commandment 3 times.
