How do we enforce this law unless we check everyone's genitals? I still haven't heard a good answer for this question...
You're about to get one. We enforce this law the same way every other law is enforced. After one has been caught violating it, they are charged and prosecuted according to the penal code. What do you think enforcement is ? No law requires enforcement until it has been violated. Your argument is silly and completely lacking in common sense. Are the genitals of men and women inspected before it's decided what holding cell they should be held in ? Are you suggesting that they should be ? Should we summon inspectors to have a snoop at Hillary Clinton's private domain ? How else can we know with certainty that she truly is the first "woman" to run for POTUS ? Good grief. The lengths some liberals won't go to in order to justify blatant absurdity.

Okay, how do we know if someone is caught violating it then?

Also, if you agree that men will take advantage of this, why not have the 8 restroom age restriction proposal I made? Shouldn't we also protect little boys from pedophiles since restrooms are a hot spot of perversion apparently?

At the end of the day, I personally don't care if there is a law or not. The only thing I've ever objected to is that people are wanting to use the OP as a cause and affect issue where now women are being violated in restrooms. This is has been going on long before the law was implemented and criminals will break the law... that's what they do.

If we sincerely thought women are being ravaged in restrooms by evil men, then we ought to protect little boys too and create the 8 restroom age restriction proposal I laid out. It's inconsistent to say we should protect one group of people from one type of evil men, but not from another.

I'm a woman, and I'm a mother, and I don't have anything against people saying they are trandgender etc. But I don't want to see males I don't know in a bathroom where my daughter is...and to Kim, yes, I agree with your age restriction as well.

You are the first to answer my question, and you are consistent with your beliefs. I applaud you.

Perhaps I speak out of ignorance as I don't have any children. I can freely admit this. This doesn't discredit the point I make about protecting little boys if there is an epidemic of sexually violent men preying on vulnerable people. Why be against making age restricted restrooms if you are convicted restrooms are a honey hole for predators?

Maybe it should be illegal for males to use the females bathroom simply because women don't want men in there.

So far, everyone that has commented about children going into restrooms said they don't let their child go in alone. So it sounds like no one wants their child in a restroom with potential pedophiles taking pictures, recording, molesting, etc...

Maybe it should be illegal for males to go in an age restricted restroom simply because males and females don't want older men in there.

Ok fine, what ever people want. I have been a Virginia LEO for over 15 years now and we have never had a bathroom law. If the bathroom's owner wants to kick a dude out of the women's head, thats up to them. If the guy wont leave, I'll be there to arrest them for trespassing I reckon. Men just don't use the women's head because its a social custom and norm. If society wants to codify who can use what restroom, go ahead. I don't know what the arguement is about dangers of men in the women's toilets are about, rape and voyeurism is already illegal. I think the argument should be framed as whether women want males in their designated latrine.

Seriously ? How will we know if a man is using the womens facility ? Tell me .... why is this suddenly a complicated issue ? Since the onset of society, everybody knew the difference between a man and a woman ... including the family dog. But just these last few years, we owe the liberals a debt of gratitude for telling us how we "didn't really know but just thought we did"? This is silly Kim and falls short of your intellect.

There are already laws on the books that rightly penalize pedophile offenders when caught. Are you suggesting that they be eliminated because gov't doesn't have the means to determine the hearts and desires of ones evil intent ? The issue remains gender related bathroom facilities. Not the sinful desires of evil men (or women). We can legislate those things that are tangible. Unfortunately, there is no legislating a sinful heart.

Exactly! I completely agree. It's why my first response was... "Someone should have told the criminal it was against the law to record people using the restroom"... just as we tell people who kill other people by other means of guns that it's illegal to kill people with a [knife/automobile/hammer/etc...].

It's not silly or dumb... It's a fair question to ask because chances are you've used a public restroom with a genetic female. This isn't 50, 40, 30, 20, or even 10 years ago... It's 2016 and there are more people identifying with a gender opposite of what they are born with. As such, it's a legitimate question to ask how we can know for sure if a person is really the gender they claim when they walk into a restroom.

No, I'm suggesting that we be consistent and expand those anti-pedophile laws to make 8 separate restrooms. Apparently, there is a plethora of sexual deviant men who want to prey on women... but they also prey on children. Shouldn't we be consistent and make more restrooms with age restrictions? Are you suggesting that it's only acceptable to pass laws to protect women but not little boys?

A few questions:

Does the Bible require gender specific restrooms?

Were there gender specific restrooms during Jesus's time on earth?

When did gender specific restrooms appear in public areas?

When, where, and why did the first gender specific restroom appear in the workplace?

When and where did a gender specific restroom appear?

Maybe a little research can resolve the issue of gender neutral restrooms. Happy hunting.

Apparently there is a plethora of women (like you) who don't mind relieving themselves in the stall next to Bruno the plumber ... lol You're too precious ... lol K ... I'll admit I was wrong. This topic is beyond your intellect .

You women have to promise us gentlemen the benefit of a "courtesy flush" if we ever find ourselves in the pooper next to you at the mall's gender neutral washrooms. And please .... don't hog the sports page .

In an honest effort to be politically correct, I have decided that any further discussion by me on this matter will only take place in the gender neutral showers .

I guess when you're out of substantive rebuttals you have to resort to the bold. As for the other part, I could argue that you're okay with pedophiles sharing restroom with little boys... as you haven't advocated for age restricted restrooms.

If you want to answer the question about the age restriction, I'll be open to hearing your response.

I'm sure you would argue against an age restriction for those too. lol

I don't know if you're understanding the point she's trying to make. From what I've read, she doesn't care one way or another with the law, she takes exception to people twisting this into making women out to be more at risk because of it. There is personal testimony of corrupt people doing this before there was a law legalizing or making it illegal.

I have to say she has a point. She also makes a good point about age restricted restrooms. I don't think there should be age restricted restrooms because I don't think allowing transgendered people into the restroom they identify with will cause people to want to video record them.

As a person born male and identifies as male, I would feel uncomfortable if a transgendered female (genetic male living as a female) came up next to me and started urinating. I'm not sure who would feel more uncomfortable with that actually... I just know it would be awkward.

I'm not sure why we have to have a law that allows or doesn't allow someone into the restroom. There are already laws that say it's illegal to record people using the restroom and molesting people.
